Tengo un problemilla.

He probado otros métodos que tiran, pero me gustaría hacerlo al modo típico.

En ésta versión, por lo menos en el portátil, no aparece Sistema>Administración>Red. Es la forma más limpia de añadir el perfil de red wifi y que funcione. Alguien sabe como visualizarlo, o el comando para acceder a éste?

Desde configuración de red no me deja ajustar bien la configuración inalambrica.

Desde configuración de red no me deja ajustar bien la configuración inalambrica.


si le das al boton derecho al NetworkManager y le das a editar conexiones? no se si te refieres a eso :P

A mi me va bien asi y eso que tengo mas de 10 claves metidas y configuraciones..., eso si, ni idea de como hacer un puente y compartir conexion con ese programa XD.

Y bueno..., siempre puedes ir a lo tipico de ifconfig, route, etc XD.

Y ya que hablamos de network manager... ya sabeis que cambia las rutas a antojo... ¬¬, ¿como se pone en Ubuntu 9.04 unas rutas fijas que no sean alteradas por el?, simplemente quiero que la puerta de enlace sea siempre buscada por defecto por la interfaz WiFi (por defecto se va a eth0, el cable ¬¬). No me gusta tener que andar utilizando sudo route add cada inicio sniff

Una pregunta gente, tengo ubuntu y me gustaría probar el entorno KDE, se que en principio debería poder tener los dos entornos instalados y poder usar uno u otro. Mi pregunta es si escribiendo lo siguiente ya se instalaría KDE

$ sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

y si fuese así, que versión de kde se me instalaría (imagino que la más reciente, que si no recuerdo mal era la 4.3)

Prueba otras distros, la ultima version de ubuntu.. no se que han hecho los señores de canonical que con las graficas intel no se lleva nada bien.. He probado otras distros con el driver intel igual o mas actualizado y ningun problema, bien fluido y rapido va.. pero con la ultima ubuntu... cuelgues y rendimiento pesimo... Ya te digo si tienes intel yo de ti no me calentaria la cabeza, con la cantidad de distros por probar que hay... puede que te sorprenda alguna otra y te guste mas a ti y a tu pc xD

hola e seguido la siguiente guia para compilar el kernel , pero no llega a funcionar le falta algo ?

a mini-guía es :

necesitamos tener instalados algunos paquetes, para instalarlos, usar este comando:

sudo apt-get install build-essential ncurses-term libncurses5-dev

1. Bajar este archivo:

http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.29.3.tar.bz2

supongamos que lo bajas en tu home.

2. Abrís una terminal, te vas al directorio /usr/src y descomprimís el archivo que bajaste:

cd /usr/src/
sudo tar -xjvf ~/linux-2.6.29.3.tar.bz2

3. Entras al directorio que se ha creado al descomprimir el fuente del kernel:

cd linux-2.6.29.3

Ejecutamos ( SI NOS PASO UN ERROR EJECUTAR LO SIGUIENTE ):

make clean && make mrproper


4. Copias la configuración del kernel que viene con el Ubuntu (en mi caso el kernel es 2.6.28-11-generic)

sudo cp /boot/config-2.6.28-11-generic .config

5. Ejecutar el comando de configuración. Verificar configuración, habilitar/deshabilitar opciones, y guardar configuración:

sudo make menuconfig

Para empezar simplemente podéis guardar y salir sin cambiar ninguna opción, así tendrá la misma configuración que el kernel que viene con Ubuntu.

6. Compilar e instalar el nuevo kernel:

sudo make && sudo make modules && sudo make install && sudo make
modules_install && sudo update-initramfs -c -k 2.6.29.3

Si tenéis un procesador con DOBLE NÚCLEO, podes escribir esto para que
la compilación sea más rápida:

sudo make -j2 && sudo make modules -j2 && sudo make install && sudo
make modules_install && sudo update-initramfs -c -k 2.6.29.3

7. Finalmente agregas el nuevo kernel a la configuración del grub:

sudo nano /boot/grub/menu.lst

Podés copiar la configuración del kernel por defecto y lo modificas para ajustarse al nuevo kernel, por EJEMPLO

title Ubuntu 9.04, kernel 2.6.29.3
uuid 6426b0c9-f3f1-4768-aa55-8ec4ce6683c9

Kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.29.3

root=UUID=6426b0c9-f3f1-4768-aa55-8ec4ce6683c9 ro quiet splash

Guardás, reiniciás, y ya tendrás nuevo kernel. Que lo disfrutes.

No, pero cuenta con que existe la posibilidad de que la nueva versión te de algún problema (por ejemplo si tienes una tarjeta gráfica intel).

No te borra nada, y sí, puedes hacerlo desde ambos sitios aunque haciéndolo desde el gestor te instalará directamente las últimas versiones mientras que con el livecd aunque el proceso de actualización sea más rápido luego tendrás que instalar las actualizaciones que han salido desde que se hizo el livecd.

No te borra nada, y sí, puedes hacerlo desde ambos sitios aunque haciéndolo desde el gestor te instalará directamente las últimas versiones mientras que con el livecd aunque el proceso de actualización sea más rápido luego tendrás que instalar las actualizaciones que han salido desde que se hizo el livecd.


Muchas gracias,en serio! Esto son pequeñas dudillas que tengo, ya que no puedo investigar mucho con un disco duro de 40 gb y una RAM de 512 mb! jeje!

y otra más....me gustaría tener una partición para música donde pueda entrar desde windows y desde ubuntu. como la hago?

Depende de qué sistema operativo vayas a usar más para escribir en esa partición.

Si vas a usar windows, haz una partición ntfs y móntala en linux con el driver ntfs3g (en google encontrarás cómo hacerlo).
Si vas a usar linux, haz una partición ext3 y usa en windows con el driver ext2fs.

Ambos drivers se supone que son estables, pero es un poco tontería estar usando un driver no "nativo" en el SO desde el que vas a estar accediendo la mayor parte del tiempo.

Pues la voy a usar más desde linux. Estube mirando por la red, y encontré que recomiendan hacer una partición de FAT32!!!!! :-? :-?

y si voy escribo desde windows y desde linux por igual....que opción escojo?

Fat32 es, a groso modo, un poco mierda. Cuando no había drivers estables para acceder a ntfs desde linux era casi la única forma, pero ahora mismo es tontería.

Si vas a usarlo igual desde ambos SO, coge la opción que más rabia te de [sonrisa] personalmente no me gusta que windows toque mis particiones ext3, para empezar porque las monta como ext2, sin journaling, y además porque le gusta crear todo tipo de mierdas como papeleras de reciclaje y archivos thumbs.db varios.

Muy buenas, a ver si me podeis echar un cable, que no tengo forma de encontrar los archivos de configuración para definir las unidades en Wine. Y es que cada vez que quiero ejecutar ImgBurn para quemar una imagen tengo que ir al configurador gráfico de wine y autodetectar la unidad de dvd antes de iniciar la aplicación.

No se si valdría simplemente crear un enlace simbólico a /mnt/dvd (o lo que sea) en ~/.wine/dosdevices/d:

Pues no ha valido: hago el enlace, entro en el configurador de wine y me sale igual que si le diera al "autodetectar", sin tocar nada abor ImgBurn y no detecta el sipositivo.

Haz un lsusb cuando lo conectes y otro sin conectarlo a ver si ves algun cambio

lsusb es un comando... debes ejecutarlo desde un terminal. Si, tiene autodeteccion, ve a Lugares>Equipo y veras lo que puedes montar ^^.
Terminal desde Ubuntu... espera..., busco... ah,, si XD, en accesorios anda XD (yo es que la pongo en atajos de teclado siempre XD)
Pero el arranque por usb que yo sepa se hace desde la bios... aunque supongo que se podrá hacer como decis...

1- antes del sonido de inicio de cuando carga el escritorio se olle un "PSSSS..." como de interferencia, por asi decirlo. He desactivado el sonido de inicio pero ese sonido sigue saliendo (solo en ese momento, por lo demás, el audio no me da problemas)

2- Firefox se cierra inesperedamente con algunas webs...

3-Cuando le doy apagar se reinicia... (se apaga, y luego vualve a arrancar)

4- Al darle a apagar el altavoz interno hace unos cuantos "pi"
Nada, conecto el pendrive, no lo detecta, ni en equipo sale nada, he probado el comando que me dice el compañero (lsusb) pero ese comando solo me muestra los puertos USB que tiene mi pc, creia recordar que al enchufar un pendrive lo detectaba y montaba automaticamente.

EDITO: wow, creo que lo que ocurre es que los puertos USB no me detectan nada, porque conecto la impresora y tampoco me la detecta, el Bluetooth tampoco,en ninguno de todos los puertos, en la particion Windows si que funcionan, y hace unas semanas que tenia el ubuntu en otra particion si que funcionaban,ahora (en otra instalacion diferente) no funcionan, alguna idea? gracias.
En la terminal, ejecuta 'dmesg' antes de conectar la cosa usb.
luego, ejecutalo de nuevo a los pocos segundos de enchufarla, y mira las lineas nuevas.

Y no se si ha quedado claro... lo que hay que ver es las lineas nuevas que aparecen en dmesg, **al conectar los dispositivos**, no si arrancas con ellos ya conectados, ojo.
OK, perdon por el flood, no arranco con los dispositivos conectados, he pueto el primer copy sin ellos y el segundo despues de conectarlos, sabes que puede ocurrir? gracias de nuevo, estoy intentando evitar tener que instalar de nuevo.
no es que me lea parrafadas del output de dmesg cada vez que me siento a hacer fuerza... pero yo diria que no hay nada relacionado con haber conectado ni impresora ni adaptador bt.....
Basicamente no hay NADA de diferencia entre el final del primer y el segundo dmesg, es como si el puerto usb estuviese muerto.

Como comprobacion, puedes probar a ejecutar "sudo modprobe usbcore", para cargar el modulo usbcore, el principal responsable del funcionamiento de los USB, y ver si despues ya va.

Vamos, ya seria raro que asi funcionase, pero es que sino, es MUY raro lo que te pasa (si dices que esos puertos van bien).
Wow! chic@s, ayer me dio por probar en la particion Windows XP que tengo, y ahi tampoco funcionan! asi que no es un problema de Ubuntun, sino de mi ordenador... en el BIOS me sale que esta todo OK, pero no funcionan, todo apunta a que se han jodido en la placa..... perdon por el lio y muchas gracias.
Tengo Ubuntu 9.04, 32bits de arquitectura i686 y un Pentium 4
CPU 2.80GHz
Y le instale el de i386 pasa nada no??

Lo de i686 solo indica que está preparado para procesadores multinúcleo. Por lo demás, debería funcionar sin problemas con tu procesador.

i686 solo indica que esta optimizado para procesadores Pentium II, equivalentes, o superiores.

Tengo un problema que no se como solucionarlo ya que busco en google pero no encuentro lo que me pasa, seguramente porque palabras clave adecuadas, no se cuales usar xD:

Lo que me pasa es que antes del sonidito de bienvenida que hace ubuntu al cargar el escritorio, hace una especie de sonido de interferencia fuerte, como el de la tele con los canales que no se ven, una especie de zumbido (por el altavoz externo). He probado a quitar el sonido de bienvenida, pero el zumbido sigue saliendo.
Aparte de eso, el sonido funciona perfectamente.
Hola muy buenas, vereis. Cada 2-3 actualizaciones me intalo ubuntu desde cero ya que me suele dar menos problemas despues y la verdad es que esta version va francamente bien. Pero he tenido algunos problemillas. Por ejemplo: Antes cuando miraba mis carpetas de videos podia ver una imagen de este a modo de vista previa y ahora no, y me gustaria saber donde puedo activar esa opcion.

Tambien se me ha agregado una funcion al compiz que antes no tenia y la verdad me incomoda un poco, el caso es que ahora el cubo de escritorio me gira si giro la rueda de raton y no encuentro el modo de desactivar dicho bind(y no, no esta en la seccion binds del plugin)

PD: Por ultimo una preguntilla sobre algo mas teorico. Me he puesto ext4 porque me han dicho que esta mucho mejor que ext3, la verdad es que me va mejor que antes pero claro, siempre que haces una instalacion de cero tambien funciona mejor todo... que es lo que aporta nuevo?
A ver si me podeis ayudar:

Resulta que hace 2 días, de repente, me quedé sin sonido.

1)Los altavoces funcionan

2)Todos los controles de volumen (master,etc...) están bien.....El silencio está desconcetado.

¿Que habrá pasado? ¿Me habré quedado sin drivers de sonido?

Bueno, si podeis echar un cable os lo agradecería.

Tengo una pregunta: Manejo Kubuntu 9.04, y me he comprado esta mañana una impresora, una Canon PIXMA MP260. Ya sabéis mi pregunta: cómo ponerla en marcha. He estado buscando información, pero lo más cercano que he encontrado es para la pixma mp210-220, y claro, no es la mía...

Os suplico ayuda porque soy novato en linux...

Una consulta, uso Ubuntu 9.04 y ayer ya me di cuenta de que Firefox iba algo lento, pero lo achaqué a problemas con ono... y hoy me estaba haciendo lo mismo... y resulta que es que me consume mas de 400 MB de RAM... ¿alguna solucion? [+risas]
Cojonudo, mi impresora no aparece en la base de datos de CUPS...
