http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOLsM3-OS7g

Más mini tráilers:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZhXTtOBoJA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxC8A9mYYnE

Realizing a collaboration with the new model Xperia XZ!

The smartphone in Kiryu’s possession in this game is the new model Xperia XZ, which is also scheduled to be released in the real world. Yes – a collaboration has been realised with Sony Mobile, resulting in the device being included in the game.

The look of the phone when you use it, its unique ringtones and photography using the camera have all been reproduced carefully.

Imagen

Kiryu appears in the campaign too

Imagen

Due to the aforementioned collaboration, Kiryu himself stars as the campaign character for the new Xperia in a variety of forms. One of these is as shown in the advertisement to the right. As the release date of the new Xperia approaches, you may see him more often in the wild. This is all that has been revealed at the current stage, but perhaps more is in the works? Look forward to a follow-up report!

Explaining in detail each function of the smartphone!

A given in Ryu ga Gotoku so far as been switching to the menu screen by pressing the Options (Start) button during the game. In RGG6, the same action will take you to the smartphone menu. Choosing one of the nine icons on the menu will take you to a more detailed section. Below, we will explain what happens when you select each icon.

Money/experience/stomach gauge

Imagen

Just as you would expect, this is an indicator of your on-hand money and experience for each parameter, plus the stomach gauge (hungriness level) which is new in this game. We asked Hiroyuki Sakamoto for specifics on the stomach gauge, so check later!

To Do

Imagen

A button which displays the substories you have currently active, trouble missions (as detailed later), and the things you must do in the main story. This is a very convenient function, much like an automatically kept to-do list like you might have in the real world. By checking this section, you can also see which area you need to head to next for each mission you have accepted. If you get stuck while progressing through the story, it would probably be a good idea to check your “To Do” first.

Inventory

Imagen

In Ryu ga Gotoku, up until now you would open the pause menu in order to use items. In RGG6, however, you will be doing this from the smartphone’s “inventory” screen. Item boxes, a fixture of the series that could be accessed from phone booths, have been removed. Everything to do with use of items will now be conducted from here. It’s also a nice touch that you can see what effects they cause when you use them, unlike before!

Equipment/Ability Upgrades

Imagen

Equipping items and spending experience points to level up is also conducted via the smartphone. You can easily view Kiryu’s abilities just by hovering your cursor over them, which looks like it will be useful when trying to decide which of Kiryu’s abilities to upgrade next. By the way, in RGG6 you can only equip up to two items at once.

Clan Creator

Imagen

It would be fitting to call Clan Creator – in which you enjoy organisation vs organisation battles by directing the Kiryu Clan, a family formed by Kiryu – the biggest piece of content to look out for. This icon allows you to check the current status of the Kiryu Clan as controlled in Clan Creator. It also displays the progression of unique missions.

Mail

Imagen

An icon which allows you to check messages sent to Kiryu. Just like in the Ryu ga Gotoku series up until now, messages will arrive for a variety of reasons. In this game, you are also able to reply to messages. By the way, you don’t have to go to the trouble of thinking up a response – you can communicate simply by indicating your feelings with a stamp!

SNS (trouble missions)

Imagen

By accessing the SNS, you can attempt “trouble missions”, a different kind of mission from substories. As you would expect, these missions involve stopping all kinds of trouble that occur around town, from small incidents to terrible crimes. Read through posts made to the SNS and respond to anything that catches your eye. Your reply will cause the trouble mission to be accepted, leading to the triggering of a variety of events. You can accept these whenever you like, so you might want to check the SNS whenever you have a bit of free time. Of course, if you successfully complete the missions you will receive rewards and experience.

Album

Imagen

By selecting the album icon, you can view photos you’ve taken during the game with your smartphone. You can takes pictures as long as you aren’t in battle or during an event scene. You can use the inner camera, and also apply filter effects. You could say that the experience of using it is just like that of a real smartphone. Photos you’ve taken can be uploaded to Facebook and Twitter in the real world using the PlayStation 4’s Share function.

Other photos you can take with the camera!?

Imagen

If you take a photo that meets specified conditions, it seems like amazing things will show up in it! Sometimes, passers-by will spot Kiryu taking a photo and react to it. The possibilities for taking photos… are endless?

Accomplishments

Imagen

As the name suggests, this is where you can view a list of accomplishments you achieve during the game. You will receive experience relative to the difficulty of the accomplishment, so try to clear as many as you can from this list. Of course, the higher the difficulty is the more experience you will get.

Game settings

A mode in which you can change a variety of settings, such as your viewpoint and all kinds of things displayed on the screen, as well as the degree of blood – basically, an options mode. RGG6’s camera has by far the fewest limitations in the series, meaning that you can switch to first person view almost anywhere.

Yakuza 6: Ultimate Heat Mode, Leveling Up & Building Your Muscles

Enjoy overwhelming power in Ultimate Heat Mode

You may enter Ultimate Heat Mode by using up the “heat” you have accumulated during battle. In this condition the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, will undergo a huge increase in power in the blink of an eye. By entering this exhilarating boost mode, you can fire off a series of super powerful moves!

Imagen

Releasing your store of heat, you are surrounded in blue flames. This is the sign that you have entered Ultimate Heat Mode.

Imagen

When he’s in Ultimate Heat Mode, Kiryu can even heft and swing around a big bike.

You can even battle inside shops!

Unlike the Ryu ga Gotoku series of the past, battles will now continue even after entering a shop. Several of the actions you can perform seem to be limited to the interior of certain shops.

Imagen

You can even have battles in convenience stores full of merchandise! If you fight in places containing lots of items, maybe there’s more for you to use in Ultimate Heat Mode!?

Imagen

A heat action (finisher) restricted to the gyudon shop!? Halt an enemy’s attack using chopsticks!

A new level of freedom! The elements of Kiryu’s growth

Obtaining experience points through winning battles or story progression and spending them to learn abilities is the same as usual. However, the freedom with which you can do it has been hugely increased in this game. Aside from a portion which have unlock conditions, you can freely choose what to learn and when. Choose whatever abilities you like!

Imagen

Imagen

(His stats, clockwise from the top: stamina, attack power, heat gauge, evasion, defence)

Abilities that you can obtain within the game are generally classified into one of the four categories below. Each of the skills you can learn from each category is displayed in a list, and you can choose them to increase Kiryu’s abilities bit by bit. Aside from abilities that have unlock conditions or are obtained in stages, as long as you have the required experience you can learn any of them at any time. This means that you can create a Kiryu whose basic abilities don’t differ much from when you initially start the game, but has a lot of useful heat actions, and so on. It seems easy to balance his growth well, but you might enjoy RGG6 even more if you create a Kiryu who suits your own tastes.

Basic Abilities: A collection of Kiryu’s basic abilities, such as stamina and attack power. Increases in stages.

Heat Actions: A category containing each heat action. Also includes Ultimate Heat Mode.

Battle Skills: Everything related to battle skills, such as characteristics of moves and the increase of combo speed.

Other Skills: A category containing abilities that are also used in the adventure section, like upgrading your dash ability.

Review: About experience in the game

A large difference in RGG6 is the way that experience is divided into five categories as below. So, how does this division affect gameplay? Well, it means that the kind of experience required for each kind of ability is different, so if you simply conduct battles in the same way as always you won’t really be able to increase your abilities. Certain actions make it easier to earn each type of experience. An important part of the game will be to bear in mind the type of abilities you want to learn, and act accordingly.

Imagen

Muscles
As you would imagine, this is used when obtaining abilities related to attacks. It will surely also be indispensable in increasing your stamina.

Agility
Experience that will most likely be consumed to upgrade combo speed and evasion.

Guts
Experience required to upgrade Kiryu’s stamina. It also looks like it will be used to increase a variety of resistances.

Technique
Experience consumed when learning new moves, etc. It seems to be used when generally obtaining abilities.

Charm
Experience used for things like obtaining flashy Heat actions.

Strengthening abilities depending on what you equip!?

Imagen

In this game, you may equip two items. Some of these also seem to affect your stats. It might be important to think about the additional effects provided by your equipment when choosing which abilities to upgrade!

Holding the key to your growth!? The new role played by dining

Imagen

Playing a new role in earning experience intentionally is dining at each shop. The experience you receive is different depending on the menu, so you might even have to go to a specific place in order to get the experience you want! The new concept of “fullness” has also been added for this game, meaning that you have to think about what you eat in advance.

Battling fullness in order to obtain experience!

Imagen

Even if you eat, you won’t obtain experience if you’re full up. However, your health recovers regardless of your fullness, so you can still use this as an effective way to recover after battle.

A new element in this game is “fullness”. The gauge fills each time you eat, and once you reach fullness (100), you will no longer obtain experience. In order to start earning experience again you must lower the gauge by doing things such as walking around town, battling and playing at play spots. Not only this, but foods that give you more experience will fill the gauge more quickly, so you’ll have to choose wisely. Perhaps in a way, strengthening your abilities is now a battle with fullness!?

Making sure to dine efficiently!? Food combos

When dining, if you select certain specific combinations of food you will receive bonuses to the experience earned. These are known as food combos. Your fullness gauge still fills in the same way, but you earn experience more efficiently this way, so you should still go for it. By the way, each food combo has its own unique name.

Imagen

This appears to be soba and katsudon? This combination may be the most basic of the basic, but results in the “Don-Men Harmony” food bonus!

Imagen

A food combo involving not eating oysters at Oyster Shack. The combination, due to fear of getting poisoning from oysters, had unexpected results.

Several familiar tie-up shops appear, too!

Beginning with Sushi Zanmai and Ikinari! Steak, there are, of course, several tie-up shops as is standard in the Ryu ga Gotoku series. There must surely also be food combos available to eat at each of these shops, too. If it’s like the rest of the series, the food you find at the tie-up shops will probably have generally good effects a lot of the time… Look forward to the results of the food combos in the game

Imagen

Sushi Zanmai: Perhaps most remarkable for its many menu items that give you Technique and Charm experience.

Imagen

Ikinari! Steak: Eating meat will increase your Muscles and Charm experience. You can also get Technique from side dishes!

Grow Kiryu strikingly through the Rizap challenge!

The Rizap challenge, upon which we have previously reported, is a great chance to earn much more experience than you would from other elements. If you receive a high rating, you have the potential to upgrade a variety of abilities in one go. However, it has been revealed that you can’t undertake the Rizap challenge multiple times in a row. Think carefully about which training you want to perform and when you want to do it.

Things you should know about training

Imagen

Imagen

Below, we will explain the six types of training you can undergo as part of the Rizap challenge. The mini games differ for each, so it will be key to think about what kind of experience you want and which of the mini games you are best at.

Bench press
Lift the barbell by tapping L1 and R1. The faster you press the buttons, the more effective your training will be.
Experience types: Muscles, Guts

Squats
Press the button along with the descending bar. With each success, the timing will become more and more strict.
Experience types: Guts, Muscles

Dead lift
Tap the circle button to fill the power gauge. As you fill the gauge, Kiryu will lift the barbell.
Experience types: Muscles, Agility

Squat jumps
Training in which you press the buttons displayed on the screen with good timing. Make sure not to miss any buttons.
Experience types: Agility, Guts

Lat pulldown
Press the L1 and R1 buttons simultaneously with good timing to pull yourself up and down. A sense of rhythm might come in handy?
Experience types: Guts, Agility

Seated rowing
Hold down the R1 button to fill the gauge, then release it with good timing. The more times you do this, the narrower the success zone will become.

What you eat has a big impact on Rizap challenge results

The Rizap challenge is accompanied by eating dishes recommended to you by your trainer. If you eat the recommended menu, it will increase your Rizap challenge rating. If, however, you completely ignore his advice when eating your rating will drop, and there will be a notable decrease in the amount of experience gained from it. As in the images below, don’t get lazy until you’ve finished eating and reported back!

Imagen

Imagen

If you complete your training well and make sure to eat the indicated food, you’ll receive a huge amount of experience according to what you chose!

Imagen

Not eating the menu recommended to you is regretful. This will make your rating shoot down, so be careful.

Nueva info semanal vía Famitsu:

Yakuza 6: Onomichi Jingaicho and Baseball

Imagen

Map of Onomichi Jingaicho

Ryunan Shrine

Imagen

A shrine which has been in Onomichi Jingaicho since long ago, which is sometimes used as a meeting spot by the area’s residents.

Worshippers once flocked here in a time when the town was still full of life, but the effects of the depopulation of recent years have turned it into a quiet place.

Tradition tells that if you make an offering to the five jizo statues on its grounds your wish will be granted, which serves as one of the play spots as detailed in a further report!

Jingai Central District

Imagen

Imagen

This is a shopping district which sustains the residents’ daily lives, but most of the shops are closed, turning it into a so-called “dead mall”. Attempts have been made to turn the tables on this using yuru-charas, but how does it go!?

Snack District

Imagen

Imagen

Imagen

A snack bar district full of establishments that you will be hesitant to enter. Snack Kiyomi, visited by Kiryu, is also located here. This area was once a vibrant red light district under the control of the Yomei Association, but not a trace of that can be seen now.

Jingai ferry port

Imagen

Back in the days when Onomichi Jingaicho prospered, a dizzying number of ferries filled to the brim with passengers passed through this port. Now, however, these crowds have vanished, leaving only the deserted wharf. Although the ferry passengers have vanished, the structure itself is an indispensable part of the town, still used for things such as the docking of fishing vessels.

Café LaPente

Imagen

A French restaurant that stands deep in the mountains of Onomichi Jingaicho. It is famous for its atmospheric interior, being an old residence that has been renovated, and the exquisite cuisine created by its owner. The owner seems to have been a local delinquent, but now serves as a sympathetic supporter of the town’s youth.

Hills

Imagen

A place that symbolises Jingaicho, enclosed by sea and mountains. There are two hills on the north side of town, called Ichinosaka and Ninosaka.

Graveyard

Imagen

A graveyard surrounded by old houses which look to have stood there since the Showa period. The area feels deserted, and there are no people to be seen visiting graves. Even under normal circumstances this is an eerie place, but there are rumours saying that all kinds of things come out at night here…

Intersection

Imagen

The National Route 2 West intersection serves as a sort of central point of the town. There is a lot of traffic, and trains sometimes pass by on the tracks alongside it.

Cable Car Boarding Point

Imagen

This is the boarding point for the cable car that leads to Senkoji, one of several famous temples in the Chugoku region. Using it allows you to reach the entrance to Senkoji in a flash. By the way, it is possible to play a game involving throwing coins into the Senkoji offering box. There must surely be benefits to doing this, too!?

Head of RGG6 coverage Moge Saito tells us what to look out for in Onomichi Jingaicho!

Now the Onomichi Jingaicho map has been revealed, and grass-lot baseball detailed on the next page, you might think that everything has been revealed about Onomichi Jingaicho – but that’s not the case at all! Despite having introduced play spots such as free-dive fishing, cat café management and babysitting at Tokyo Game Show 2016, they are still hidden in this update. We’ll surely keep steadily releasing information, so look forward to it.

And.. actually, the game’s producer, Masayoshi Yokoyama, let slip something about “something that uses yuru-chara” (it’s okay to write this now, isn’t it!?), which you seem to encounter in Jingai Central District. You should really look forward to just what you’re going to end up doing with a yuru-chara.

What is Onomichi Jingaicho’s grass-lot baseball?

By unexpected chance, Kiryu ends up being appointed as captain of the grass-lot baseball team Setouchi Warriors. This is the game’s first play spot, grass-lot baseball. What exactly do you need to do, then? We will dissect it in greater detail below.

Imagen

Imagen

Most of the matches proceed automatically, with Kiryu giving directions at important points!?

Naturally, matches proceed automatically by default. However, when the team gets a chance, the players themselves can control the players as they bat! If you succeed at batting, there are times when you will score then and there, and also merits such as your players’ abilities increasing (there are no demerits for getting out).

If you don’t hit the other team here, they will toy with you with a variety of curve balls. It seems like there are even some pitchers who throw balls you would only see from a pro!?

Imagen

Imagen

Head of RGG6 coverage Moge Saito’s grass-plot baseball observations

The opportunity to show off your true abilities has finally arrived!

When talking about batting in Ryu ga Gotoku, many people will surely think of Yoshida Batting Centre. In the past in Ryu ga Gotoku, no matter how much you refined your skills, all you would do was receive a prize. Now, however, you can utilise those refined skills in grass-plot baseball, meaning that the way you play previous play spots has changed hugely. When you start playing the game, it might be a given that the first play spot you visit is Yoshida Batting Centre?

Gather players from around town and train them to create the ultimate team!

In order to grow the Setouchi Warriors into the strongest team in Onomichi Jingaicho, as detailed below you will need to have players appear in matches, and also train them to improve their abilities. However, simply train the players who are already part of the team from the beginning and you will soon begin to approach your limits.

Imagen

What Kiryu must do in this situation as captain is… scout! Through scouting people you find around town who look experienced in baseball or people you befriend by clearing substories, increasing the depth of your squad is important. By carefully training these players, you will turn the Setouchi Warriors into an even stronger team. Be active in your scouring of the town in order to accomplish this.

Increase players’ abilities by having them play matches and train!

In order to strengthen your players, the most important thing to do is have them play matches and gain experience. They will gradually accumulate experience points, and will level up after building up a certain amount. Players’ abilities will increase in proportion with their level, so of course their potential to play a role in matches increases, too! Sometimes, players will also obtain powerful skills upon levelling up.

Imagen

Increasing your players’ abilities via honest hard work forms the basis of grass-lot baseball, but there is an even faster way to strengthen your players. This is “training”. In order to train you will need to expend training tickets that are sometimes obtained upon winning regular games, and results are instantaneous. You can even rank up a player’s abilities in the blink of an eye, so make sure to actively train players who seem like they will be useful.

Building a team based on player abilities is important, too!

Grass-plot baseball isn’t simple enough that merely increasing your players’ abilities is enough to win matches. If they don’t defend areas they are suited to defending, they will simply make more and more errors, and you won’t efficiently gain points if your batting line-up doesn’t work. Furthermore, the player’s condition at that time is also important. You must carefully consider each of your players’ strengths when deciding on the team line-up in order to win.

Imagen

In any case, your starting line-up and batting order will have a huge effect on how the match plays out. In grass-lot baseball you play the role of designated hitter, so first of all choose your starting line-up based on their defensive strengths, then use skilled batters as designated hitter or pinch hitter. Then select batting order based on abilities and condition, and challenge yourself to grass-lot baseball based on baseball theory!

Saludos.

Snack bar (Onomichi Jingaicho)

Imagen

Imagen

Imagen

Actively enjoy the conversations. You can also make friends with them by taking them to darts or karaoke!

As Kiryu settles into the bar, he can give advice to regular patrons. You must give the correct responses as you listen to their stories. If you manage to solve their problems, something good might happen!?

Imagen

A game in which you visit a local snack bar, share drinks with the owner and regular customers and befriend them. Unlike hostess clubs, you can enjoy communicating with multiple people. Aim for the ultimate in snack bar relations!

Freediving fishing (Onomichi Jingaicho)

Imagen

Take up your speargun and dive into the sea, where your prey awaits!

There are several types of speargun, which increase in number through actions such as clearing fishing spots.

Imagen

Imagen

Line up your gun on nearby fish and shoot them up before the air health gauge displayed on the bottom of the screen runs out! Some of the fish might even attack you!?

If you get to know a fisherman from Onomichi Jingaicho in a certain substory, you will later gain the ability to go freediving fishing. You will get onto a fishing boat and head out to sea, where you need to catch plenty of fish. You can continue fishing until your “air health gauge” reaches zero, which depletes by catching fish and being attacked. There are several different types of fish and different sorts which appear at different fishing spots, so it’s also important to choose a location based on your skill and Kiryu’s level.

You can get through it with button-mashing, but you need to pay attention to your stock!

There is a set limit to the number of harpoons you can fire from your speargun, which is displayed on the bottom left of the screen. The gun will automatically reload when you press the fire button, even if you run out of stock, but manually reloading makes it possible to complete the reload in a shorter time than an automatic one. It would be awful if a rare fish appeared or if you were attacked and couldn’t shoot, so always pay attention to your stock.

Imagen

Imagen

If your results are good, Kiryu’s level will go up and the maximum capacity of his air health gauge will increase! Your choice of speargun may affect the size of your catch!?

Temple & shrine games (Onomichi Jingaicho)

Ryunan Shrine on the outskirts of Onomichi Jingaicho and the famous Senkoji on top of Ninosaka each have their own different kinds of games. They all give Kiryu special abilities by playing them, which are helpful in his growth, so you should be assertive in your attempts of these. In order to obtain benefits, you will of course require money or items. If you do well, this might help you to progress through the game?

Imagen

(Offertory Box – Senkoji)
Toss in your donations by flicking the touchpad. If you do a good job, the profits gauge will fill and trigger the prayer slots!

Imagen

(Fortune papers – Senkoji)
You can draw fortunes at the main building of Senkoji. You will obtain benefits based upon the fortune. Very rarely, you will take a fortune with amazing effects… what might they be!?

Imagen

(Offerings – Ryunan Shrine)
You may leave items in your inventory to one of the five jizo statues. Depending on the item you leave, you will receive an amount of experience for that attribute, so think about Kiryu’s situation when you make offerings.

Comforting Haruto (Onomichi Jingaicho)

At specific spots in Onomichi Jingaicho, Haruto will get into a bad mood as Kiryu carries him and begin to fuss, which is when this game occurs. Treating the controller as Haruto, you will shake it up and down and stroke the touch pad to make Haruto happy. It also seems as though Haruto will start to fuss and will need calming if Kiryu runs around. Maybe you had better move around cautiously when Haruto is with you?

Imagen

There are four kinds of action you can perform to calm Haruto in total. You must guess what Haruto wants and choose either side-to-side rocking, up-and-down rocking, lift-up-high and pat-pat. By the way, as the player gets used to babysitting they will, to a certain extent, begin to recognise what to do from Haruto’s cries and movements. Adapt to the situation!

Imagen

If you calm him well and fill the mood gauge, you get to see Haruto’s cute smile!

If you fail in your choice of action, Haruto won’t stop crying.

Cat café management (Kamurocho)

Imagen

This is a play spot which you can enjoy at the “Meow Meow Teahouse”, a cat café specifically for stray cats in Kamurocho. Unfortunately, the all-important cats have all run away, leaving the café in financial difficulty. Hearing this story, Kiryu decides to help the café out. He must give food to stray cats he finds around Onomichi Jingaicho and Kamurocho, then take them back to the café employee once he befriends them to rebuild the business. Your ultimate goal is to make the café a cat-filled paradise.

Imagen

A moment spent with the cats that have been brought to the Meow Meow Teahouse. You can also give them cat food inside the café.

Imagen

Each has their own food preferences. If you give them the food they like, that cat’s “friendliness meter” will increase more easily.

If you don’t search hard for the stray cats hiding around town… you might not be able to find them!?

Stray cats can be found all over Kamurcho and Onomichi Jingaicho, but it’s certainly not simple to find them. Just like in the photo to the right, the ones on the streets are easy to spot, but there are also many hiding in places out of human sight. For example, in the photo below, there are some cats hiding inside pipes. In order to find these cats, you will have to take the initiative and search down even the narrowest of back alleys, keeping your eyes peeled.

Imagen

Imagen

Ryu ga Gotoku trivia: the first cat search in the numbered series!

There is actually something this play spot is based upon. That is the “kitty-search” that appeared in Kurohyo, a spin-off of the Ryu ga Gotoku series. In Kurohyo, you simply received rewards upon finding a certain number of kitties, but in RGG6 you have the added element of having to befriend the cats. This modification is so Ryu ga Gotoku-like!

Fundamentals of Clan Creator: First, head to your hideout!

Imagen

Imagen

Clan Creator can be played after you progress through the story and experience a certain event. Once it becomes playable, you are able to use Kamurocho’s M Side Cafe, next to the Millennium Tower, and Onomichi Jingaicho’s hilltop La Pente as hideouts. In order to play Clan Creator, you must go to one of the hideouts and choose a mission to play. The crucial set-up of your organisation can only be changed at your hideout, also. You may only check your current status from the smartphone menu. Below is a compilation of the options that can be performed at your hideout. Each element will be explained in greater detail later on.

Things you can do at the Clan Creator hideouts

Mission: If you select a mission and head out, you will engage in a clan battle. Missions include both main missions, which progress the Clan Creator story, and submissions that you can play over and over.

Edit: Here, you can select characters you’ve befriended to be members of the clan, and edit the set-up of the Kiryu Clan. As you progress through the story your organisation will level up, increasing the member limit and allowing you to assign more bosses.

Upgrade abilities: Upgrade the abilities of your bosses. Upgrading their abilities will of course increase your fighting power in clan battles, strengthening the organisation overall.

Network: Here, you can take on clan battles against other players’ organisations that have been uploaded online. You can also edit your own organisation to upload, and take part in network play-only missions!

Scout comrades around town and expand the Kiryu Clan!

Imagen

Imagen

In order to make the Kiryu Clan stronger, you will need to scout powerful people from around town and appoint them to as executives (lieutenants, etc.) of the Kiryu Clan. Of course, you can’t simple scout these men who are confident in their abilities – there are many who won’t join you unless you can defeat them in a scout battle. There are also characters you can recruit by clearing some substories. This includes familiar characters from the Ryu ga Gotoku series, such as the ones shown here!

TIPS: comrades obtained through DLC are super strong!

Characters who have appeared in the Ryu ga Gotoku series in the past can also take part in Clan Creator. They naturally are fairly strong, but there’s one interesting thing about them! That is the letters “DLC” as seen in the image on the right. Does this mean that there are other ways to obtain comrades besides scouting and substories…!?

Imagen

Add comrades to your organisation and rise up in power!

Gathering together as many strong characters and making them part of your organisation as possible is directly tied to the influence and strength of the Kiryu Clan. In some situations, it will be important to remove weaker bosses from your organisation to make room for new, stronger ones. In order to make the Kiryu Clan stronger, the player will sometimes have to make cool-headed decisions like this one. By clearing certain missions, the organisation will level up and you will be able to add more members to it, making the organisation even bigger. In order to expand the organisation you must focus on acquiring and training new friends!

Imagen

Excellent henchmen and effective skills can hugely shift the power of the Kiryu Clan!?

Simply assigning strong bosses to the organisation won’t make the Kiryu Clan that much more powerful. What’s really crucial is to assign each boss excellent henchmen. If you give each boss an underling, that underling’s abilities will cause their boss’s abilities to rank up. This means that as long as you’re within your member limit for each family level, you should continue adding people to the organisation. During clan battles, the skills of the bosses who control the elite troops that you send out as strong attack units can have a huge impact on the outcome! Think of all of these elements combined as you set up the Kiryu Clan!

Imagen

Clan battles, where your directions to your comrades hold the key to winning the war!

Imagen

Imagen

Imagen

When a clan battle begins, the field screen is displayed. The attack gauge (refer to photo on the right) fills as time passes, and you can expend it to send comrades out into the field and defeat the enemies who appear continuously. At the start of the game, focus on sending out members who don’t expend much of the gauge and break through the enemy formation. When it looks like you’re able to make an attack, deploy a strong boss who uses up a lot of the gauge and wipe out the enemies!

Stalwarts of New Japan Pro Wrestling appear – what end awaits your battles with the Six Madmen…?

Imagen

Imagen

Imagen

Imagen

Imagen

A major goal of Clan Creator is defeating Justis, a rival organisation that opposes the Kiryu Clan. Six wrestlers from New Japan Pro Wrestling appear as the executives of Justis. They are known as the “Six Madmen”, and they effectively control Justis’ movements. If you can defeat them, the Kiryu Clan will absorb their power. Clan battles against them occur as the Clan Creator story progresses, and first you must try to win these. If you can, you will move to a direct face-off between Kiryu and the Six Madmen. If you can win this, too, you will finally be able to take them down once and for all.

You can take part in clan battles online, too! Which player will create the ultimate organisation!?

Imagen

Imagen

Imagen

In Clan Creator, it is also possible to face online opponents. You can perform “raids” on the organisations that have been set up by other players, or upload your own defensive formations.

There are also clan battles that are unique to the network, such as “friend battles” that can only be performed against certain friends and “ranked battles” against players who achieve high scores, so make sure to enjoy it to the fullest!

The hostess clubs that have appeared in the series in the past have shown up in a variety of types, such as ones where you seduce girls or manage the very hostess clubs themselves. How about in the newest game, RGG6, then? It’s the standard type of play spot from the series, where you choose one of the five girls you like (or all of them) and seduce them. However, compared to the “seductive type” of club in past games, it is now much more like a game, allowing you to enjoy the strategy of a romance simulation.

Imagen

Basics of the game’s hostess clubs

You can enjoy this game’s hostess club at the play spot “Shine” in Kamurocho. You are able to choose the hostess you like best out of the five who work there and experience a simulated romance with her. Basically speaking, your aim is to have interesting conversations with them and raise their “like” meter, but now the conversations you can have with the girls are represented in the style of a card game. You will choose one of the three types of card dealt to you when you play it – conversation, drink and food – to affect the girls’ excitement. Selecting the appropriate card depending on the situation will make the girls like you in no time at all.

Imagen

Types of card used at hostess clubs

Conversation card: Cards displaying topics of conversation that Kiryu can bring up. Selecting cards that match the girl’s personality will make her excited mroe easily. Continuing to select the same icon (genre) will create combos. During combos, she will become excited even more easily than usual.

Drink card: Order a drink. Her excitement changes depending on the selected beverage.

Food card:Order food. Ordering something she likes will increase her excitement.

If you finish the conversation with them excited, your relationship gauge with the hostesses will shoot up!

The hostesses’ excitement when you’re done talking to them is directly linked to your score at the hostess club game. If you can achieve the top rating of “perfect”, your relationship level will shoot up. If you visit them over and over and increase your relationship, their view of you as a customer will rank up and ultimately you can obtain the status of number one.

Imagen

Imagen

Hostess club impressions

If the hostess clubs are romance simulation games, then the game system this time around seems a better match than ever before. Before, all you would do was choose the option the girl wanted to hear, and there was nothing tactical about it. Simply giving the response the girl liked, guidebook in one hand, was enough to get her for sure. In this game, however, hostess clubs aren’t so simple. Even if you know the kinds of things the girls like to talk about, it’s entirely dependent on luck which conversation cards show up and when. If your luck is bad, then, you can end up trapped in a helpless situation where none of the conversations are things she likes to talk about.

If you reflect this sort of situation on real life, you would be a bit stuck for what to say. You can’t sit in silence, so you have to make a choice. You have to say something – and everything you can come up with in a pinch is either obscure or dirty. It’s an incredibly restrictive situation, one which I’m sure people don’t have much experience in, but having experienced a moment like this myself, the way conversation cards work felt realistic to me. By the way, you can exchange one card only during conversation. Using this system carefully is sure to be key in winning the hostesses over.

I also get the feeling that the system that causes hits (sort of like combos) to occur depending on the details of the conversation does a good job of recreating the flow of a conversation. Sometimes, the most random of things can make for a highly exciting conversation (hit triggered). Or, in the other direction, failing in topic selection during a previously enjoyable chat can suddenly cause things to cool off (hit cancelled). This, too, is extraordinarily realistic. There are also times when, in an attempt to continue the hit, you bring up a topic that the girl doesn’t like. This is a common situation, but it’s a trap that previous hostess clubs in the Ryu ga Gotoku series haven’t been able to replicate, and also one of the main things that simply increases the sense of realism.

It’s also incredibly realistic that you can buy time by ordering drinks or food when you aren’t able to keep the hits going properly. It’s comparatively difficult to make money in this game, so you might be need to be a little tighter with the purse strings when going out on the town. Even still, if you’re having trouble exciting the girl and you’re going to have to come back and spend money anyway, you might decide to just pay up. This sort of bargaining with your financial status, too, is very natural.

So, at the same time as being more like a game, the hostess clubs are even more realistic than ever before. It won’t be straightforward, but that’s what will make it even more joyous when you finally do get the girl!

Imagen

Imagen

Once your relationship increases to a certain level, a substory occurs!

Once you befriend the hostesses and you achieve a relationship level of “number one”, a substory with the hostesses will occur. These scenes, all reflecting their individual personalities, are must-sees. As is the norm, there are times when you will end up in fights as the story progresses.

Imagen

Imagen

This game’s climax! Detailing the reward scenes!

If you clear the hostess’ substories, their reward scene will finally begin. This game’s reward scenes are more romantic than sexy in nature. Specifically speaking, you can hear their confessions of love for Kiryu which have been recorded using a special method (binaural recording). If you listen to these scenes using headphones that support surround sound they sound incredibly realistic, almost like the girls are actually there with you. Listening to their voices while you look at their forms in high-quality CG will be incredible… guaranteed!

Imagen

Imagen

Hostess club impressions

I’ll confess that when the details of the rewards were first explained, I honestly thought, “So they just made the sounds more realistic, right?” But once I actually experienced it for myself, the sense that there were actually there was amazing, particularly if I closed my eyes for a moment. It felt like their faces were right next to mine. I’m guessing you’ll all probably experience the same thing I did. At the end, you’ll think, “I’m sorry for not taking you seriously.” That’s how impactful I think it is!

Hostess club impressions

What I got an acute sense of after playing the game’s hostess clubs for a while was that I wanted to know the girls’ likes and dislikes as soon as possible. This is because you’re definitely not getting the kind of money to toss wildly at hostess clubs!

When I heard that it was comparatively difficult to earn money, I tried doing some fights around town. Just as the developers had said, you really won’t get much money at all! I took down about ten groups of street punks, and all I got were two iron plates (100 yen). Recovering health by eating will put you in the red! Not only this, but the game has no gambling den, so you also can’t earn more money easily. It’s tough.

As a result, quite a high percentage of people will probably want to excite the girls as much as possible via conversation alone when they visit hostess clubs. If this is the case, then, despite it being incredibly basic, you will need to know your companion well. This is where I generally go back to basics and review the hostess’s profile. I think you’ll end up doing the same soon enough, so I’ve listed the hostess’ profiles here to keep. You should read them and get a solid grip on their personalities! Seriously!

So, now that you’re well informed about your companion, you press ahead desperately, trying not to disappoint her with thoughtless topics… Strangely enough, you end up feeling a sense of attachment – or maybe affection – for the hostess unlike what you’ve felt for previous hostesses in the series. This is just my own personal impression, but I felt the same kind of attachment to each and every hostess as I felt for Yuki from Ryu ga Gotoku 0’s Sotenbori Nightlife Island (sort of like the main character in that mode). I’m sure this will vary from person to person, though.

So, the girls’ reactions will cause an old guy’s mood to switch between joy and despair. You could explain it away by me being stingy, but I’m sure there will be many others in the same situation. If you play this way, you end up developing a fairly strong attachment to the girls. I think that playing this way will actually let you enjoy the hostess clubs most of all.

So when you go to this game’s hostess club, I think it might actually be better if you don’t have all that much money to spare. Cheap alcohol is fine in terms of drinks, too. Stick with the free vegetable sticks for food, and try to take down the girls through conversation alone. This may well be the best way to totally enjoy the game’s hostess club.

Imagen

A close look at each girl’s conversational preferences! Hostess profiles

Saki Akai

Has a candid personality. She currently works as a hostess and professional wrestler. Due to her profession she is sometimes treated like a man, but is actually very familial and girlish. She likes older men who can understand this.

Erina

She plays helpless and cute, making her popular with men, but doesn’t have many female friends. She loves to eat, and loves greasy foods. In the future, she dreams of having a job in the film industry. Cultured men are her type, but she doesn’t like so-called “herbivore men”.

Riona Ichijo

A hard-working hostess who has held the title of number one for a decade. The other hostesses look up to her, and she herself doesn’t like to show her weak side. Her ideal man, however, is one who can accept her true self.

Hikaru

A strange girl, but also a fast learner and calculating at times. Alongside being a hostess, she also works as an idol. She is interested in volunteer work, and is troubled over whether she should get a job or continue as an idol in the future. Kind men are her type.

Sora

Usually serious and hard-working. She’s shy, too, but isn’t afraid to assert herself. As someone who’s serious herself, she prefers older men who won’t cheat. The kind who is clingy when she has a boyfriend.

Understanding RGG6’s story through keywords

We have selected some keywords from the information that has already been released which will surely be important in enjoying the story of RGG6. On this page, we have put them together into a correlation chart. If you look at the chart, you will be able to get a general grasp of everything you need to know to understand the story!

Imagen

Keyword: Haruka’s disappearance

In order to atone for the incident that occurred in RGG5, Kiryu goes to prison. During this time, Haruka lives at the Sunshine orphanage. However, the media refuse to leave Haruka, a former idol, alone.

Realising that her presence is having a negative influence on Sunshine, Haruka vanishes.

Imagen

Public attention and slander affect not only Haruka, but the children of Sunshine, too.

Keyword: Haruto Sawamura

Upon being released from prison, Kiryu learns of Haruka’s disappearance at Sunshine. In order to find her, he heads for Kamurocho on the tip of an old friend. However, what he learns there is that Haruka has been involved in a traffic accident and is critically injured and comatose.

What is even more surprising is that she has given birth to a baby. The baby’s name is Haruto Sawamura. Haruka risked her life in the face of a runaway car to protect this tiny life.

In order to find his father, Kiryu heads for Onomichi Jingaicho.

Imagen

Keyword: Onomichi Jingaicho

Imagen

Onomichi Jingaicho is a picturesque port town surrounded by sea and mountains. Haruka’s reason for being here is shrouded in mystery.

Imagen

Kiyomi Kasahara – Like the Madonna of Onomichi Jingaicho. It seems like she works with Kiryu, an outsider, when he visits Onomichi.

While she is missing, it is discovered that Haruka has been in the port town of Onomichi Jingaicho. This town, controlled by the self-reliant Yomei Association, is untrodden ground to Kiryu. All on his own, he heats into town with Haruto, his only clue. What awaits him there are residents who are hiding something.

Keyword: Little Asia fire

A fire which reduces Kamurocho’s Little Asia district to ashes. As a result, foreign powers such as the Saio Clan and Jingweon surge in, the balance of power in the underworld beginning to crumble. It appears as though the Tojo Clan’s advisor, Katsumi Sugai, is somehow involved in the fire, but his true intentions are unclear.

Imagen

This blaze causes massive changes to Little Asia’s appearance.

Keyword: Tojo Clan

The most powerful underground organisation in eastern Japan, which controls Kamurocho. Prior to and following the Little Asia fire, the sixth chairman, Daigo Dojima, and executives Goro Majima and Taiga Saejima are sent to prison, and the true power is held by Katsumi Saigai, serving as advisor and proxy chairman, and up-and-coming fighter Takumi Someya. Currently, the war between them and the foreign powers inundating Kamurocho is intensifying, their control over Kamurocho weakened.

Imagen

Takumi Someya – Amidst the intensifying conflict, Someya keeps tabs on Kiryu’s movements. What could he be up to…?

Keyword: Saio Clan

Starting with the blaze in Little Asia, this Chinese mafia group began a large-scale invasion of Kamurocho. Its leader, Big Rou, also seems to be making moves on Kamurocho. According to the interview video with Junpei Morita on the official website, it seems as though Big Rou’s own son was killed by the Japanese yakuza…

Imagen

Big Rou

Keyword: Yomei Association

A large underground organisation, behind only the Tojo Clan and Omi Alliance in power. It controls the Hiroshima area, untouched by yakuza organisations from the east and west, but it is said that the situation of the criminal underground nationwide would change completely were it to join hands with the Tojo Clan or Omi Alliance. Onomichi Jingaicho, where the game is set, is also part of their turf.

Masuzoe Family affiliate:
Hirose Family

A small yakuza organisation that has its home in Onomichi Jingaicho. Headed by its boss, Hirose, its lieutenant is Nagumo, and below him are four members: Matsunaga, Tagashira and Usami. The organisation is at the very bottom of the Yomei Association, but its boss, Hirose, seems to be known as a long-serving yakuza in Hiroshima. Hirose is a slippery and aloof man, but also a popular one, which can be seen in the way that all of his men, including Nagumo, idolise him like a father. He apparently has a deep connection to Kiryu, who arrives in Hiroshima.

Imagen

Toru Hirose
↑ A mysterious organisation attacks Kiryu and the Hirose Family. What are they after…?
→ The boss, Hirose. Perhaps because of the long years he has spent as a yakuza, his words have a significance to them.

Koshimizu Family

An organisation under the control of Kanji Koshimizu, viewed as the heir to the Yomei Association. Koshimizu exercises his shrewdness as lieutenant of the Yomi Alliance, possessing both a sound mind and suitable amount of strength. According to some, he already holds the true power in the Yomei Alliance.

Imagen

Kanji Koshimizu

Masuzoe Family

A yakuza organisation which counts the Hirose Family amongst its ranks, with Koji Masuzoe as its boss. Masuzoe is a prototypical yakuza who stands out for his violent behaviour. Their spats with the Hirose Family over bringing in cash are never-ending, and it’s said that one day they will lead to real trouble.

Imagen

Koji Masuzoe

Keyword: Iwami Shipbuilding

Imagen

Tsuneo Iwami

Imagen

A young Heizo Iwami and Toru Hirose. The pair seem to be closely connected by something relating to Onomichi Jingaicho.

A global shipbuilding corporation based in Onomichi Jingaicho. Now part of a huge conglomerate, most of Onomichi Jingaicho’s residents work under it. Because of this, the town needs Iwami Shipbuilding to survive. Heizo Iwami’s son, Tsuneo, is the current president, taking control of business affairs.

Keyword: Onomichi’s secret

In RGG6’s long trailer, these words are spoken by Heizo Iwami, president of Iwami Shipbuilding. It seems as though there is a huge secret hidden in Onomichi, but its unclear just what it refers to. Will Onomichi’s secret be revealed as Kiryu explores it?

Showing off an unexpected side of Kiryu!? RGG6’s substories

Substories, where you can enjoy short stories that have nothing to do with the main story, are another symbol of the Ryu ga Gotoku series. Below, we will give you an early look at two of the game’s substories!

Kiryu’s kabe-don

A substory which occurs in Kamurocho. Passing through a back alley, Kiryu chances upon a lone man surrounded by a group of street punks. Kiryu chases away the awful punks, who intend to gang up on the defenceless man and beat him to a pulp, and the man says that he will treat him to a drink as thanks. The man’s name is Takayama. It turns out that he is a famous actor whose pseudonym is “the prince of kabe-don”. Kiryu, however, doesn’t have the slightest idea what “kabe-don” means. Takayama decides that he will instruct Kiryu himself in the secret art of kabe-don. After mastering the kabe-don, Kiryu immediately tries it out, but…!

Imagen

Regardless of whether or not he’s actually full of himself, if you saw a man calling himself the “prince of kabe-don”, perhaps you might understand why the punks would get into a fight with him!? Even still, it’s not like you can just walk away…

Imagen

As he demonstrates kabe-don, Takayama explains its secrets to Kiryu. He truly does look cool enough to be known as the “prince of kabe-don”. By watching him, Kiryu will surely learn his secret techniques in a flash!

Imagen

Having only just learned how to kabe-don, Takayama has Kiryu try it out on a drinking buddy of his, a cross-dresser called Kamaishi! Having skilfully made Kamaishi’s heart tremble, Kiryu leaves the bar triumphantly, but then finds himself in even more trouble!!

Tips: Pay attention to trouble missions, too!

In the game, you can also enjoy short stories that are a bit different from substories. They are trouble missions. Kiryu will learn about a variety of incidents occurring around town from information posted on social networks and resolve them! The biggest difference from substories is that missions are accepted via SNS. If you leave the post alone, they will remain unresolved. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t clear them – if you wait for a while, the same incident will trigger again.

Imagen

Many trouble missions have a time limit after accepting them. They’re in a pinch, after all!

Let’s Become a Local Mascot!

As Kiryu is walking through Onomichi Jingaicho, he is called out to by a producer named Hironaka. Hironaka suggests that Kiryu would be perfect to be “Michio Ono”, Onomichi’s mascot character, and offers him a job as an actor. Kiryu reluctantly puts on the Michio Ono costume and learns his signature phrase from Hironaka, and is then thrust into an event without preparation where he must interact with children. Upon taking to the stage as Michio Ono, the children fly into a huge excitement. Just as he thinks that the event has been a huge success, some punks barge in, the children’s smiles destroyed. Seeing this, Michio Ono… makes a stand!

Imagen

This is Michio Ono’s signature pose, the “Micchy Pose”. Hironaka will also hammer a variety of other details about him into you. Kiryu, being a nice person, tries to master them all…

Imagen

Imagen

Kiryu… uh, Michio Ono… explodes with anger at the punks’ threats towards the children. In order to teach them a lesson, he enters battle still wearing his costume! Yuru chara Michio Ono will never back down in the face of evil!

Tips: Does Michio Ono really exist?

Michio Ono seems like a character who would really exist, but unfortunately, even if you go to the real Onomichi you won’t be able to see him. This is because Michio Ono is simply a yuru chara from RGG6’s Onomichi Jingaicho. Even still, all of Onomichi’s real-life specialties are condensed into Michio Ono’s appearance. If you end up going to Onomichi to do some sightseeing, you should make sure to enjoy the specialties he shows off, such as citrus fruits, Onomichi ramen and seafood.

Could they be involved in the conspiracy shown in RGG6? Looking at Little Asia and the Saio Clan

Continuing on from last week, in this week’s Ryu Soku we’ll be bringing you the story from the beginning of the game. Kiryu, arriving in Kamurocho to search for Akiyama, heads for Little Asia where the Saio Clan, said to be intent on killing him, are headquartered. Of course, this doesn’t go without incident… The interesting continuation is revealed below. This week, we also have plenty of information on hostess clubs, of interest to the guys (!?), and Onomichi. Let’s get excited in preparation for its release!

This is the reborn Little Asia!

Imagen

A huge fire occurs in Little Asia while Kiryu is in prison. The resulting renovations by the Saio Clan have caused a shocking change in its appearance!

The old Little Asia was a chaotic place

Prior to the blaze, the Little Asia district was a chaotic area even for Kamurocho where Asians dwelt. Many foreigners lived boldly in its mixed residences and the alleys weaving through it. The residents were exclusive, making it difficult for average people to even enter. Little Asia was also the home turf of Masayoshi Tanimura, one of Ryu ga Gotoku 4’s protagonists.

Imagen

The meaningful area has vanished. By the way, the “Hometown” you get a glimpse of in the video is a Chinese restaurant where Tanimura was based.

A meeting is held in Little Asia with the Tojo Clan. How does it go?

At the same time Kiryu arrives in Little Asia searching for Akiyama, a meeting is being held between executives of the parties involved in a fierce conflict, the Saio Clan and Tojo Clan. It doesn’t seem, however, as if the meeting ends in a peaceful resolution.

Imagen

Imagen

The Tojo and Saio clans engage in a blood feud over turf warfare. The Tojo Clan dispatch envoys to the Saio Clan. They attempt to settle things down with a compromise of sorts, but…

Imagen

Challenged to a fight in Little Asia, Kazuma Kiryu (48) steps up
In order to find Haruka, he must first locate Akiyama. Believing this, Kiryu ventures into the headquarters of the Saio Clan, who are after Akiyama!

Imagen

What effect does Kiryu’s fight have on Kamurocho’s underground society!?
The Tojo executives realise that it is Kiryu who has been involved in a large scuffle with the Chinese mafia. You can see signs of something worse befalling him…!?

Imagen

Little Asia and the Saio Clan

Little Asia, a place where Asian foreigners live side by side in Kamurocho. One night, somebody starts a huge fire. The old Little Asia is burnt to the ground overnight. It is the Chinese mafia’s Saio Clan who rush in and rebuild the ruins of Little Asia. As they continue to grow in influence, they use the reborn Little Asia as a foothold in their advance into Kamurocho.

Wars begin to frequently break out in Kamurocho between the Tojo Clan and the Saio Clan. In an attempt to settle the dispute, the Tojo dispatch envoys to the Saio Clan, but one of the Saio executives, Edo, rejects their attempts at placation, catching the Tojo’s yakuza envoys into a bloodbath in the blink of an eye. With their deaths, the Saio announce that they will not submit to the Tojo.

Meanwhile…
Kiryu heads into Little Asia alone in search of Akiyama. The Chinese mafia will not greet the fearless Kiryu with a warm welcome, but upon challenging him to a fight they are forced into surrender.

A Tojo envoy who somehow manages to escape from Edo happens upon this scene. “Kiryu has returned to Kamurocho…” As he spreads this information, it will surely set both the Tojo and Saio into motion…

Looking for Akiyama, he comes to blows with the Saio Clan

Despite not being able to obtain any information in Little Asia, Kiryu coincidentally hears information from a man called Murota of the Jinsei Family near Sky Finance regarding Akiyama’s whereabouts. Hearing that Akiyama is supposedly hiding there, Kiryu heads for the underground sewer.

Imagen

Imagen

Murota is attacked around back of Sky Finance by the Chinese mafia. Saving him opens the path to meet Akiyama. Kiryu heads for Akiyama’s hideout…!

Imagen

When Kiryu meets Akiyama for the first time in a long time, he is dressed as a homeless person. He is being pursued by the Saio Clan, causing him to close down Sky Finance and flee.

Imagen

Kiryu, who is being tailed, ends up showing Edo of the Saio Clan the way to Akiyama. Edo attacks, and a fight begins!

Imagen

Kiryu and Akiyama end up taking on Edo together! Despite the pair boasting overwhelming strength, Edo is an even match for them. His strength… is incredible!

As the two are reunited, a call comes telling of Haruka’s whereabouts…!

Imagen

Just about managing to drive Edo back, Kiryu and Akiyama emerge above ground. Then, Kiryu receives a phone call. It is from Date, who informs him that Haruka has been involved in a traffic accident.

The Saio Clan and Akiyama

Akiyama has been involved in many incidents surrounding the Tojo Clan. As far as the Saio Clan is concerned, he is essentially on par with the Tojo Clan executives. As the conflict intensifies, the Saio begin to see Akiyama as a foe who must be dealt with and attempt to kill him.

Akiyama is of similar strength to Kiryu, but he can’t contend with an entire organisation. Not only that, but there are more powerful foes like Edo within the Saio Clan. Akiyama vanishes, and Sky Finance closes down. He lurks underground, disguised as a homeless man, using his network of connections to secretly watch over the machinations of Kamurocho’s criminal underground.

Karaoke with the hostesses is amazing!

Fans of the series will know that one of the things you could enjoy with hostesses was singing together at karaoke. In this game, it has received a huge upgrade. If you attempt each hostess’ favourite song, you can see a special cutscene! Here, we will show you Hikaru and Riona Ichijo’s singing cutscenes.

Imagen

Imagen

Hikaru, a hostess who aims to become an idol. If she sings her favourite song, the scene changes to one of her singing on the stage she dreams to stand on! Kiryu watches over, looking satisfied.

Imagen

A girl who puts on airs of being strange

Hikaru

As well as being a hostess, Hikaru performs as an underground idol on the side.

Her favourite song is Bran-New Stage. Does the song title have something to do with the contents of the cutscene!?

Imagen

Stoic professional hostess

Riona Ichijo

As a professional hostess, it’s simply amazing what her song of choice to sing at karaoke is! Maybe it’s her skilled reading that allows Kiryu to get so into it.

It’s almost like a music video!

Imagen

If you sing a duet of Riona Ichio’s favourite song, Like a Butterfly, the scene changes to that of a robotic, techno-style stage. I’m interested in just what kind of song it will be, but for now, look at what Kiryu is wearing!

Imagen

Wearing cyber (!?) sunglasses, Kiryu dances energetically! Is it my imagination that he looks even more into it than the disco dancing he showed off in Ryu ga Gotoku 0…!?

It costs quite an amount in order to enjoy karaoke for two!

The road to being able to take hostesses out to karaoke is not a short one. This is because if you don’t properly raise their friendliness meter, they won’t go with you. If you want to see these cutscenes, the first thing you need to do is to frequently visit the hostess club and invest in the girl whose cutscene you want to see. In the trial version that is to be distributed ahead of release, you can’t proceed this far. However, you can save up money to use when you go to the club!

Imagen

The way you converse with the hostess can decrease the amount you need to spend. The key lies in how to get them excited.

Onomichi Tsushin (Onotsu)

One of the settings for RGG6, Hiroshima’s Onomichi Jingaicho, is based on the real-life city of Onomichi. This is a corner in which we will dig down into the scenic area of Onomichi, surrounded by sea and mountains, so you will enjoy RGG6’s story even more.

Today, we will be bringing you coverage of the RGG6 demo event that recently took place in Onomichi in this special edition. For those of you who can’t wait for the release, let’s go to Onomichi.

Topic #1: A demo event for the game was held in Onomichi, the model for Onomichi Jingaicho!

Imagen

Imagen

A demo event for RGG6 was held on the 12th and 13th of November at the Onomichi Chamber of Commerce Memorial Museum plaza. A Ryu ga Gotoku Studio tent was set up at the venue, along with several consoles to play the demo. It was a great success, with a large crowd on the last day. The participants said that it was just like Onomichi, getting to experience the high level at which the townscape had been recreated. Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama himself, having finished up with a signing event within the prefecture on 12/11, also attended. He seemed relieved to see everyone enjoying the event.

A reporter happens upon Mr. Yokoyama around back of the venue. He was not taking a snack break, but rather trying out the collaboration menu with Oyatsu to Yamaneko that will be detailed later. We hope to find out more about this collaboration with a popular sweets shop as soon as possible.

Topic #2: Explaining the details of the local mascot, Michio Ono!

Michio Ono has appeared casually in Ryu Soku, but now that we think of it, we haven’t talked about the particulars of this character! Let us do that, then. First of all, remmeber that Michio Ono is simply a local character of Onomichi Jingaicho, not the real life Onomichi. Next, his body is composed of several items that represent Onomichi Jingaicho. If you remember the origins of all of the parts as explained here, you may not be so surprised (?) if you suddenly encounter him within the game.

Hat: Onomichi’s signature food, Onomichi ramen
Clothes: Has Michio Ono’s surname, “ONO”, printed in large letters
Fish pouch: Shows that this is a town where you can enjoy delicious seafood
Head: Setouchi’s primary export, the hassaku orange
Boots: Coolly shows that this is a city of fishermen

Imagen

Topic #3: Collaboraions with real Onomichi shops have been revealed!

RGG6’s Onomichi Jingaicho may be purely fictional, but some places are faithful recreations of the real Onomichi. This is most notable in collaborations with real eateries. Below, we will introduce Yonetoku and Oyatsu to Yamaneko, which appear almost identically within the game and each have their own unique menu to enjoy, linked to Kazuma Kiryu’s health recovery and ability upgrades. If you have the chance, how about visiting the real establishments!?

Collaboration shop #1: Yonetoku

Yonetoku is an izakaya in the snack district of Kubo, Onomichi. Not only the shop’s exterior but the atmosphere of its interior, too, has been carefully reproduced. This is a spot you should definitely visit if you go to Onomichi. Their special menu item is spicy meat nabe. You can season it how you like to suit it to your tastes. Aside from this, there is also “crunchy shochu highball”, shochu that has been frozen and carbonated water added, and a flavourful stew.

Only regular customers of Yonetoku will understand, but the level of reproduction of the establishment is amazing! You have to check it out for yourself.

Collaboration shop #2: Oyatsu to Yamaneko

This is an extremely popular sweet shop located in Higashigosho, Onomichi. Being close to Onomichi Station, it is a popular destination for snacks in between sightseeing or as souvenirs, with customers forming queues to purchase their popular menu items. Appearing in-game is their representative menu of Onomichi purin and hiyashi ame. There are several different flavours of Onomichi purin, but you can also buy them from their official site, so you can try having it delivered, too.

Imagen

The exterior gives off a bit of a Showa-era, retro feeling. It looks almost like a stylish general store.
(bottom right img) Onomichi purin comes with Setouchi lemon syrup.

Onomichi Meow Meow Photo School♡

Imagen

Onomichi is the city of cats! Here are some photos we took during breaks in our reporting. This is a cat we spotted in the hilly area sandwiched between the tracks of the Sanyo line. For some reason, it persistently wrapped itself around the reporter’s legs – perhaps it smelled food!?

This week’s spot: Ferry

This ferry can carry you between Onomichi and Mukaishima in a matter of minutes. If you are going on foot it will cost you from 60 to 100 yen one-way, so we recommend trying it if you are sightseeing in Onomichi. Onomichi as viewed from the sea is stunning!

Imagen

As you can see in the photo, the ferry boarding point has cars and bikes waiting for the ferry. This is an important part of life for people who live in the area.
