Parcel Simulator, juego al que por toda la cara me enganche, (Steam), 5 de nota.
07. 20/09/2025: NIeR: Automata / El juego más autoconsciente (en el mal sentido) y presuntuoso que me haya podido echar en cara. Una decepción en toda regla. La culpa es mía, hace unos meses me dio por jugar una docena de horas al Drakengard de PS2 y quedé horrorizado.

Un pastiche filosófico que intenta disimular lo que es a todas luces una historia pensada para molar y causar una una impostada admiración, cuando es realmente confusa y torpe. Mal contada, a secas.

Salva el suspenso porque jugablemente y artísticamente cumple. Tengo comprado el Replicant en físico pero creo que ahora mismo está en el fondo de mi backlog.

06. 07/09/2025: Catherine: Full Body / Lo tenía pendiente desde la época de Xbox 360, me llegué a bajar la demo y probarlo, me gustó pero no como para comprarlo. Me llamó la atención el argumento, no tanto la parte de puzzles.

Al final me lo he acabado pasando en Switch. Y la historia me ha gustado mucho, pero la sorpresa me la he llevado con los puzzles. Muy divertidos y bastante desafiantes en nivel normal. Con prueba y error se acaban sacando.

Me he acabado casando con Katherine. La gente lo considera un final bueno, yo no lo tengo claro, y creo que los desarrolladores tampoco. Me ha hecho gracia una review que he leído que considera a Catherine y Katherine final bosses.

05. 19/08/2025: Sonic CD / Me lo he pasado en el modo aventura del Sonic Origins. Lo tenía pendiente desde hace años. No he sacado el final bueno, el juego no me estaba volviendo loco, aunque lo he disfrutado. He sacado 5 diamantes de 7, y tampoco he roto el generador de cada nivel.

Buen Sonic, pero muy diferente a los de Mega Drive. Aquí prima la exploración sobre la velocidad, el juego te lo deja claro con sus escenarios y abigarradísimos escenarios. Técnicamente es un portento de scrolles, sprites, rotaciones... Muy bonito. Y muy buena OST.

Al final te enlaza directamente con el Sonic 2 y este parece muy vacío en comparación.

04. 11/07/2025: Balatro / Doy por pasado el juego tras conseguir completar un "run", llegar y superar la 8 octava mano. No voy a jugar más por que este juego es peor que la droga. Los siguientes niveles del endless run no veo la forma de poder pasarlos con esos requerimientos.

Un juego excelente, original, y con una música y gráficos muy acertados.

03. 22/06/2025: DOOM (1993) / Hace unos meses me dio por comprarme una Switch OLED mágica en el foro CV. Más pensada para probar indies y juegos multi de cara a comprarlos, si me gustaran, en Playstation 4. Poca intención, de momento, de probar Marios y Zeldas. E investigando por el catálogo me dio por probar el port del DOOM original. Siempre he jugado más al DOOM II: Hell on Earth y éste lo he tenido medio aparcado. Me he pasado los 3 primeros capítulos (el port de Switch tiene otro más adicional, que se publicó para PC en 1995) y me ha servido para hacerme a la idea de por qué el juego fue tal pelotazo. Es excepcional, muy divertido de jugar y con un diseño de niveles y gráficos fantásticos. A ver si algún día me da también por pasarme el II del tirón.

02. 07/04/2025: Dragon Quest XI S: Ecos de un pasado perdido / El JRPG más arquetípico, para lo bueno... y para lo malo. Bueno porque está muy bien diseñado, con una progresión de niveles satisfactoria y poderes para todos los gustos, infinidad de armas, accesorios, compra/venta, forja, robos... Pero malo también porque son 90 horazas (en mi caso) de peleas por turnos bastante sosas y con una historia lamentablemente repleta de clichés del género. Jugué hace años al DQ8 en la 3DS y tengo la sensación de haber jugado exactamente a lo mismo en cuanto a mecánicas e historia. Qué pena, por cierto, que la versión 3DS de este juego no hubiera salido de Japón.

Técnicamente muy bonito, pese a ser un port de Switch se ve todo fenomenal excepto algunos bajones de resolución y texturas algo cantosas. La vegetación es menos frondosa que en la versión lanzada en 2017, pero da el pego bien. Estupendo diseño de entornos, con mucha variedad aunque da la sensación de ser un mundo algo más comprimido que el de DQ8. Muy buena la banda sonora orquestada, pero repetitiva también. Y tronchante el bestiario de Akira Toriyama.

No he probado el modo 2D ni he completado muchas pruebas de Horense ni submisiones, hacia el final del juego he aprovechado el modo de subir de nivel rápidamente mediante Aleluya y ElectroLuz para darle pasaporte cuanto antes.

Para que juegue un futuro DQ, van a tener que cambiar bastantes cosas.

01. 07/03/2025: God of War (2018) / Llevo unos cuantos meses alternando juegos de las sagas Ys y Yakuza. He llegado a un punto de saturación con ellos y hace unos meses me puse con el Dragon Quest XI S para romper un poco esa dinámica. Me está gustando pero entre medias me apetecía jugar a algo con un poco más de acción directa y sin turnos. Tenía pendiente este God of War que regalaron en su día con la iniciativa Play at Home, como incentivo para quedarse en casa con toda la movida del COVID. Nunca había jugado a los GoW de PS2 y PS3.

Pues bien, acabo de terminar el juego en unas 36 horas y algo menos de mes y medio (no tengo mucho tiempo para jugar y soy bastente manco) y tengo que decir que estoy APABULLADO. No creo que sea el mejor juego al que haya jugado pero quizá sí sea el que presenta mejores valores de producción y uno de los mejor diseñados. Es espectacular a todos los niveles.

Gráficamente parece casi imposible que sea de PS4. Vale que lo he jugado en la PS5, en modalidad PS4Pro con mejores tiempos de carga y demás pero es que es de no creer lo burro que es. Algunas cargas disimuladas con pasillos aquí y allí pero es que es lo único malo que tiene. Es muy curioso que todo el juego sea un plano secuencia, habrá tenido que ser un todo un desafío lograrlo. Impecable sonido también, y perfecto doblaje.

Y ante todo, es muy divertido de jugar. Me han encantado las mini-mazmorras que se plantean cada vez que hay que abrir algún cofre con runas. Y las peleas son geniales, sientes que tienes el control en cada momento y que si dominas el timing, puedes con cualquier cosa. Bueno, cualquier cosa menos las valquirias que paso de ponerme con ellas, al igual que esos dos reinos ocultos a los que he conseguido llegar pero en los que no he profundizado. Es un juego al que se le pueden meter infinidad de horas, si quieres. Yo ya he tenido bastante y prefiero quedarme con este buen sabor de boca.

- Formula Legends (GPD Win Max 2): 3. Bueno pues el peor juego de lo que llevo de año, entre el control, los gráficos, la optimización y lo poco original de la propuesta pues no le veo absolutamente nada.
- Blacksad Under The Skin (Steam Deck): 8. Buena aventura, original, interesante y sobretodo bien contada pero que no le puedo dar más nota con el rendimiento tan malo en Steam Deck y en general y eso que venia preparado después de las quejas. Una porque hubiera sido juegazo.
- Dragon Ball Z Kakarot (Nintendo Switch 2): 8. No es mi juego pero me ha llamado la atención por los buenos tiempos en la época de PS2 y porque estaba a 2,75 euros de oferta. Nada que no se haya dicho aunque muy tedioso las zonas abiertas.

Disfrutona aventura del "otro" Spider-Man. A diferencia de la saga principal, este spin-off está mucho más comedido, con menos historias secundarias y más pulido en lo nanrrativo. Mantiene todo lo bueno del primer juego y añade poderes específicos de Miles que no me cansé de utilizar. Insomniac ha conseguido que del mismo juego sus protagonistas se diferencien con claridad.

Vamos por partes, sobre Cronos the new dawn:
Después del maravilloso remake que se marcaron estos señores con Silent hill, llega esta nueva entrega (ip original) que como juego de survival les ha quedado bastante resultón. Tiene muchos elementos que se asemejan a Dead Space, pero no creo que sea malo como tal, lo que hace que el juego se caiga en algunas partes en su planteamiento.

Esta genial sentirte limitado en munición y espacio de inventario, pero hay veces que se pasan mucho, hasta el punto que es mas "injusto" que divertido. Creo que en el tema de audiovisual cumple con creces, ya sea tanto gráficamente como con los sonidos, pero si que creo que peca mucho en la variedad de enemigos por ejemplo.

En resumidas cuentas es un buen juego de survival que te mantiene en tensión y encima cortito (cosa que se agradece)


Ahora con Silent Hill f
De este tengo buen sabor de boca, pero como fan de la saga creo que podría haber sido mucho más, de hecho al finalizar el juego mi sensación fue de "joder que rabia"

El motivo? el combate y la acción, me cago en la leche quien diera luz verde a esto, sin entrar en spoilers en la historia, hay un momento que directamente es un juego de acción y casi sientes hasta pena por los enemigos de las palizas que les das.

Creo que la primera hora del juego es sublime, cuando pasa lo que pasa y estas indefensa que solo puedes correr o administrar muy bien lo que tienes, realmente vas en tensión y pasándolo mal, pero según avanza la historia se va perdiendo y por mucho esta sensación.

Es una pena porque el diseño del juego es increíble, la ambientación, los sonidos, incluso los enemigos aunque son pocos (pero que muy pocos) dan muchísima grima.

Personalmente creo que es un pedazo de juego que ellos mismos se han encargado de sabotearlo con unas decisiones más que cuestionables.

Por poner otro "pero" pero esto ya es personal, a mí la parte del mundo onírico no me ha molado nada, me gustaba más el ambiente metálico y crudo de los anteriores.

SILENT HILL f :8

Un juego notable que no es excelente sólo por que decide ponerse una zancadilla a sí mismo en el momento menos adecuado.

Silent Hill F, el primer juego principal de la saga en 13 años, tenía unas cuantas cosas difíciles de hacer. La primera, convencer a su público de que Silent Hill era mucho más que un pueblo. La segunda, convencer al mundo que Silent Hill es una marca que aún tiene cosas que decir en 2025. Y consigue un resultado brillante en lo primero, y salir airosa, aunque con menos brillantez, en lo segundo.

Brillante en lo primero por que en Neobards han sido muy conscientes de que el lore de Silent Hill siempre ha sido maleable y maleado en el mejor interés de su historia particular (desde el primer momento: lo único que comparten en cuanto a lore Silent Hill 1 y 2 es el cartel con el nombre del pueblo) y juegan con ello a su favor consiguiendo que, especialmente durante la exploración por el pueblo (por que el other world es bastante anodino, aunque hacia el final toma todo el sentido), las sensaciones que muchos tuvimos jugando a aquellos primeros Silent Hill se repliquen gracias a una atmósfera bien conseguida y reconocible pese al cambio de escenario y, sobretodo, por que han sabido encontrar a un escritor prácticamente perfecto para la saga, el tal Ryukishi07 del que desconfié en su momento por aquello de tener como nombre un nick random de usuario del chat de Twitch.

Por que Silent Hill F es, sobretodo, un juego increíblemente bien escrito, sutil bastante tiempo pero también un puñetazo en la cara cuando debe serlo, que se cuenta en cinemáticas que sólo se sienten completas si antes te has empapado del lore, de las frases aparentemente irrelevantes lanzadas al aire, de la evolución de los dibujos y las palabras del diario, de los documentos aparentemente deslabazados que se encuentran por el camino. Sólo así todo encaja, y lo que cobra sentido es una disección brutal (una que va mucho más allá de lo evidente, y ya lo evidente es profundo) sobre la situación de la mujer japonesa de los 60 y de los ecos que reverberan en el presente. Por que el traslado de la saga a Japón tiene su mayor acierto en expandir las temáticas generales de manera que se sienta natural. Es obvio que el referente dentro de la saga es SH2, y no otro, por su acercamiento narrativo, pero mientras en la individualista sociedad estadounidense son los pecados de un hombre los que generan el horror, aquí es la insoportable presión social la que lo causa. El foco pasa de lo individual a lo colectivo de una manera que jamás se podría haber hecho igual de bien en Maine como en una sociedad donde lo colectivo siempre prima y las normas sociales están escritas en piedra.

¿Y por qué digo, entonces, que aunque sale airosa, no termina de demostrar tan claramente que es una saga con mucho que aportar en 2025? Por que si en lo narrativo y lo estético lo clava, y lo hace, en lo mecánico, lo jugable, Neobards no confía demasiado en tomar a su propia saga como referente para actualizarla como hizo Bloober, sino que lo que hace es deshacerse de ella casi por completo, apoyándose mucho más en otros videojuegos que poco o nada tiene que ver con la vieja saga de Konami, desde los ecos no tan lejanos a Dark Souls (más en forma que en fondo) hasta el mismísimo God of War (en forma y, a veces, en fondo, aunque suene delirante). El sobresaliente que rondaba la experiencia hasta ese momento, aún con un combate que ya entonces no siempre era perfecto, y pese a que algún boss dura más de lo que debe (honestamente, tras probar ambos modos, recomiendo encarecidamente jugar en modo historia de acción para evitar el tedio en algunos momentos), sí baja enteros en un tramo final que toma decisiones que, directamente, se me hace imposible explicar.

En cualquier lugar, es un gran juego de acción con temática de terror (no lo llamaría survival horror, ni clásico ni moderno), un notable Silent Hill F, y un buen punto del que partir para hacer algo aún mejor. Esperemos que suceda, y que no termine aquí.

Aunque siendo un 8, que también está muy bien, creo que tal vez sí, supongo que inconscientemente me centré más en lo malo que en lo bueno, que es mucho. El juego me gustó mucho, pero tiene un error garrafal, para mí. La cosa es que lo malo se concentra sobretodo en una sección muy concreta del juego, no a lo largo de todo él.
Vale, ahora la nota me cuadra más, jajaja.

Me esperaba un poco más de este juego. Divertido, carismático... pero los diferentes pisos siendo la mayoría tan diferentes me sacan completamente de la sensación de que estoy explorando un único edificio. En ese aspecto, el primero lo hacía muchísimo mejor. Eché en falta pisos más grandes a cambio de un menor número, o puzzles que requieran interconexiones entre pisos.

- Cygni All Guns Blazing (Razer Advanced 15): 5. No es mi juego, buenas CGI pero la dificultad empaña todo.
- EA F1 2025 (Ps5 Pro): 7. Juego cuanto menos mejorable en contenido pero que cumple con todo y entretiene.
- Metal Gear Solid Delta (Razer Advanced 15): 0. Sí, no lo he podido ni arrancar de las bajadas de fps que me da en las cargas. Lo pillaré para PS5 cuando esté bien barato.
- Hollow Knight Silksong (Razer Advanced 15): 9,5. No es mi juego pero se nota lo que hay. Lástima que la dificultad sea la que sea pero se entiende.
- Lost Soul Aside (Razer Advaced 15): 8. Sucede lo mismo que con el Inmortals of Aveum, es un juego muy bueno de una temática que a nadie le interesa, ni la historia ni ambientación ni nada.

Y en nada me llega ya el Mafia para PS5 que le tengo muchas ganas.

Consigue llevarte a esa era de 16 bits con un juego que va directo al gran y sin tapujos. Ragebound es frenético, rápido, ágil y todo un reto contra sus final bosses (a veces demasiado). Su pixelart es maravilloso, con variados y coloridos niveles que hacen "pop". Su control es simple pero preciso, básicamente existe el ataque, algún power-up, poder lanzar armas y doble pulsación del salto a modo de "parry" sobre nuestros enemigos. No tiene un control exigente, lo cual lo hace perfecto para pillar sus mecánicas, aunque hubiera molado que profundizara más ya que a veces se convierte en un machacabotones. Donde el juego brilla es en sus combates finales, algunos increíblemente exigentes al estilo soulslike, donde memorizar bien los ataques enemigos y dominar las esquivas y saltos será crucial. Por suerte el juego incluye un modo de accesibilidad para reducir daño recibido (pudiendo volvernos invencibles en caso de desearlo), para que así el juego se pueda ajustar a todos los niveles. Reconozco que me vi obligado a bajar el nivel con el malo final porque era desesperante.

El estudio nacional The Game Kitchen no defrauda. No llega al nivel de sus anteriores Blasphemous, pero Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound se disfruta. Idóneo para aquellos que busquen un juego con regustillo nostálgico de los 16 bits y las arcades de antaño. Cada nivel incluye retos y al finalizar el juego se desbloquea un modo difícil, para aquellos masocas que se queden con ganas de sudar más sangre.

Pues qué vamos a decir, pedazo de cierre para la saga clásica, con momentazos, acción, llorera y todo lo que cabría esperar. Desde luego pasar por el calvario del 4 y 5 tienen su recompensa. Me sigo quedando con la trama del 0, pero en cuanto a personajes y el impacto que tienen este es superior diría yo.

Es el primer Final Fantasy numerado que me paso desde el XII en PS2, así que llevaba bastante tiempo sin jugar uno de la saga principal. En líneas generales, me ha gustado la historia: está muy centrada en la amistad, aunque a veces resulta un poco confusa.
Si no te has pasado el juego y quieres hacerlo, mejor no sigas leyendo.
El villano, por ejemplo, aparece casi de la nada y no tiene el carisma de otros antagonistas de la saga. No se entienden del todo sus objetivos, su conexión con Noctis ni la razón de su odio, y aunque aparecen algunas pinceladas, no se sienten sólidas. En general, el juego parece un poco desestructurado; de repente llegas al final y todo se siente precipitado.
Los enemigos del final del juego son extremadamente difíciles, con niveles muy altos, y no puedes volver al mapa mundi a farmear, lo que aumenta la sensación de presión. Además, los combates me parecieron algo confusos: apenas utilicé magias y terminé jugando casi en modo tanque, en parte por lo complicado que es manejar el menú de hechizos.
A pesar de todo, el juego me ha entretenido y me ha gustado, así que le pongo un 8. Es complejo y tiene fallos en la narrativa, pero la experiencia global sigue siendo disfrutable.

La versión Hacendado de Little Nightmares... Desgraciadamente el cambio del estudio original (Tarsier) a Supermassive (Until Dawn o la saga The Dark Pictures Anthology) le ha pasado factura y pese a que el tercer título de la saga contenga la esencia de los originales, se le nota una falta de originalidad y peca de un gameplay simplón y sencillo que no arriesga, dejando con un sabor de boca de insatisfacción y que este título podría haber dado mucho más de si.

Gráficamente el juego luce espléndido; se capta la atmósfera opresiva característica de la saga e inicialmente parece que nos encontramos ante otra gran y oscura pesadilla. Pero rápidamente la ilusión se va desinflando y se le empiezan a ver las numerosas costuras al juego; el principal problema radica en el gameplay y sus puzles. Todo es demasiado básico e intuitivo, la primera mitad del juego se basa en abrir compuertas y mover alguna caja para poder alcanzar nuestro destino. Nos topamos con algunos "retos" en forma de puzles, pero ni de coña tienen la originalidad ni dificultad de los primeros LN. Parece como si fuéramos pasando diapositivas ya que en muchas estampas ni siquiera hace falta interactuar con nada, simplemente pasar a la siguiente pantalla. No es hasta el último capítulo (el juego se compone de 4) donde Little Nightmares III empieza a probar mecánicas diferentes y originales, también ampliando la profundidad a la hora de recorrer sus escenarios, cosa que se agradece para salir del 2.5D continuo y así dando mayor hincapié en la exploración e inmersión del mundo que nos presenta. Es una pena que no sea hasta el final de la aventura donde el juego empieza a brillar entre tanta oscuridad...

Otro clavo en su ataud es que el juego tiene cooperativo online y no co-op local. ¿Qué clase de broma de mal gusto es esta? Es una pena porque este tipo de juego acompañado es un aliciente, pero así lo único que consiguen es tirarse piedras sobre su propio tejado, alejando a posibles interesados en el juego. A su favor diré que Little Nightmares III visualmente llama la atención, especialmente cuando obtenemos la linterna y ésta ilumina nuestro paso por los oscuros parajes que exploraremos. La manera en que la luz penetra entre los obstáculos y genera sombras no deja de sorprender a los ojos. Se nota la poca experiencia de Supermassive saliendo de su zona de confort, que es creando aventuras interactivas con poco gameplay. Con Little Nightmares III justamente nos encontraremos con eso; un apartado visual muy trabajado que peca de chicha y se convierte en un paseo. Le falta la parte grotesca, macabra y originalidad en puzles que sí tenían los dos primeros títulos. Más que una pesadilla el nuevo juego se convierte en un mero sueño que pasa sin pena ni gloria. Flojo, flojo...

Todo apunta a que Reanimal (lo nuevo de Tarsier) sí será el auténtico Little Nightmares III que llevamos tiempo esperando.

Sobre hollow knight,
no me parece malo ni muchísimo menos, pero creo que el tremendo bombo que se ha generado ha sido tan grande que se ha comido el propio juego. Creo que a futuros parches el juego va a quedar perfecto, pero a mí me ha desesperado por momentos, la línea entre dificultad y simplemente hacerte la vida imposible es muy delgada y hay decisiones de este juego que no comparto ni lo mas mínimo.

En lo artístico y jugable no tengo nada que decir, muy sobresaliente pero en lo jugable a mi me ha superado y desquiciado.


Dying light the beast:
Para mí muy superior a dying light 2, es como que han querido encaminar el juego por donde lo dejaron con la primera entrega, mas chico (cosa que agradezco) y por momentos muy intenso. Si te encanta el genero de zombies (como a mí) este juego es una parada obligatoria.
Audiovisualmente cumple de sobra y tiene momentos muy trabajados, menos el inicio del juego que es para matarlos jajaja
Tengo muchas ganas de ver que viene ahora, porque esta gente tiene muy buena mano con este género


Hades 2:
Para mí debería ser serio candidato al GOTY, estaría ahí ahí con el expedition 33, creo que es simplemente tremendo, un juego que te vale para cualquier momento, con una jugabilidad exquisita y llena de posibilidades. Por mucho que fracases, siempre vas a querer volver a darle para sacar más de tí, por no hablar de lo altamente rejugable que es.

Visualmente es una jodida maravilla, chapó a Supergiant por hacer semejante obra de arte.

  • Silksong. Poco que añadir. Qué me ha parecido exquisito aunque reconozco que en el acto 3 me he terminado cansando. A nivel control, cómo se siente al mando, y exploración es difícil de abatir. Jugada versión de PS4, es posible que vuelve a darle otra vuelta a la de PS5 en el futuro.
  • Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. No me ha vuelto loco. Bien la ambientación, mola el estilo Mega Drive con esteroides, pero creo que tiene fallos de diseño que lo hacen un paseo si simplemente tiras para adelante y pasas de los enemigos. El ataque de doble salto está completamente roto. Luego hay algún jefe que está bien pero tampoco creo que sea para destacar... Me ha dejado un sabor agridulce. Una pena porque aprecio al estudio por Blasphemous.

- Snowrunner Season 16 (Razer Advanced 15): 5. Se me ha hecho muy pesada, ni el mapa ni los nuevos camiones salvan alguno de los trailers y novedades. Una pena porque la de Quebec estaba muy bien.
- Crossfire Sierra Squad (PS VR2): 7. El juego está bien, es claro y directo pero me falla un poco que le falta espectacularidad en ciertos momentos y algo de variedad. Es lo que promete y lo que buscaba eso sí.
- Mafia The Old Country (PS5 Pro / PS Portal): 9,5. El juego es flojo y el gunplay malo pero solo por los escensarios es un must de la generación.

@farting_gramps por eso es mi nota. Prefiero mucho mas este tipo de juego a un Elden Ring aburridisimo.

Con el mindesye le paso lo mismo. El Mafia vale menos de salida, tienes un mapa perfecto con una calidad muy buena, va contando todo a buen ritmo y el gunplay es malo en cierto modo porque las armas de la época eran lo que eran.

Es un juego muy recomendable y disfrutable y tampoco tengo el pirque dar explicaciones.
@defensivepepe Claro, no hace falta entrar en debate, para eso ya están los hilos oficiales. Simplemente me ha parecido curioso. Yo le tengo ganas pero me esperaré a jugarlo que tengo muchos juegos a medias actualmente.

FINAL FANTASY VIII

Os juro que no está en mi intención abrir polémicas ni aún menos negar la validez de la opinión de la mucha gente que tiene muchísimo cariño a este juego (de ahí que me pusiera con él, aparte de que es el que me faltaba de la trilogía de PS1) ni nada por el estilo, pero tengo que ser totalmente sincero y... es que ni siquiera debería estar escribiendo este, por que no es un juego terminado. Lo he dejado abandonado en el inicio del último CD y miré como termina en Youtube, de ahí que esta vez ni ponga nota ni lo incluya en la lista. Y bastante paciencia tuve, pero cuando el juego no te permite grabar tras una larguísima pelea y no te permite grabar (después me enteré que sí te deja grabar, pero tienes que hacerlo en décimas de segundo o pierdes la oportunidad. WTF) antes de meterte a pelear con 8 o 10 enemigos ininterrumpidos (caí contra el último, y en absoluto tengo el mood para repetirlo todo, pues hace ya unas cuantas horas de juego que vengo jugando por inercia y curiosidad) decidí que adiós. No recuerdo haber abandonado un juego tan cerca del final desde hace mucho tiempo (es cierto que con lo de la velocidad X3 no son tantas horas como pueden parecer, pero son bastantes).

La verdad es que me parece una pena lo de este juego, por que no empieza nada mal. Mantiene el interés totalmente hasta el final del primer CD. A partir de ahí, narrativamente es una huída hacia adelante, donde se añaden giros de guión que honestamente tan sólo ME ofrecen nuevas preguntas, pero nunca respuestas satisfactorias. La evolución de Squall sucede de golpe, pero ni tan mal, Rinoa se limita al papel de interés romántico y damisela en apuros, pero OK. El resto no existen. Viniendo del VII y precediendo al IX me supo a poco.

Jugablemente el juego tiene mucha más miga de la que le he sacado y soy consciente de ello, y ahí sí tengo que entonar el "no eres tú, soy yo". Aunque llegué a ser lo suficientemente competente para seguir avanzando, nunca terminé de sentirme cómodo ni entender por completo el sistema de juego que propone, y tardé demasiado en entender que subir de nivel podía ser incluso perjudicial. Agradezco la valentía de innovar, simplemente es una innovación que nunca funcionó para mí.

Eso sí, tiene probablemente el mejor minijuego de toda la saga y uno de los mejores que he visto en un videojuego (yo creía que el Queen's Blood de FF7 Rebirth era buenísimo, pero Triple Triad es todavía mejor, y está mucho más y mejor integrado en el juego base), y audiovisualmente el salto desde la entrega anterior es increíble.

Un poco apenado, por que lo dejo con la sensación de estar ante un juego con el que nunca conecté a casi ningún nivel, y que seguramente tenga mucha más chicha de la que yo le ví, pero decir que lo disfruté genuinamente más allá del primer tercio (o cuarta parte) sería mentirme a mí mismo.

También es cierto que creo que es el juego más adolescente de toda la saga (para mal, pero también para bien, ojo. Por que aparte de que la historia y los personajes hablan mucho de ello, es como si el propio juego tuviese ese caracter de rebeldía dentro de la priopia saga y querer ser disruptivo a toda cosa -es cierto que a partir del XI eso ya no significa nada, pero en 1999...- y cometer tus propios errores que le da cierto valor en sí mismo). Y tal vez para valorarlo en su justa medida tendría que haberlo jugado siendo yo precisamente eso, pero ese tren, obviamente, ya pasó. XD

Por que al final, más que bueno o malo, creo que es un juego con el que es imprescindible conectar (más de lo habitual en la saga) y yo, simplemente, no lo terminé de hacer.
