Como sea, ahora con las ultimas versiones de UEFI de las tarjetas madre ya es un problema solventado.

Skylake/KabyLake/CoffeeLake CPUs need 4 memory ranks to operate efficiently. Most modern 8GB dimms like the Samsung B-die & Hynix MFR are single ranked, so all 16GB kits based on it are getting slaughtered by dual ranked dimms like the 3000Mhz super talent.
If you're running 2 sticks of single ranked dimms on LGA1151, you need to upgrade to 4x8GB sticks or switch to 2x16GB sticks or switch to older dual ranked dimms to maximize your CPU's potential.
The current Mhz race /w 16GB kits is a dick waving contest with no actual boost to performance unless you buy 2 of the kits and run 4 dimms.
Edit: Ryzen benches: https://www.golem.de/news/ram-overclock ... 27262.html
Going from SR to DR ram @ 2666Mhz gives a 5-11% boost in games for Ryzen 1600x
Edit2: short list of dual ranked 8GB sticks currently available (none are above 3000Mhz since they're using older ICs):
