Un juego bastante redondo, con mods que suben la resolución de los escenarios que lo hacen ver hermoso aún hoy. Sin embargo siento que ese jefe final tan descafeinado y anticlimático arruina bastante la experiencia, porque de sentir tristeza por no querer que el juego termine pasó a deseos absolutos de finalizarlo de una vez.

Un gran juego en el que me he sumergido desde el primer momento, y con una historia principal muy interesante.

Y las misiones secundarias a buen nivel la verdad. Lo mejor de todo es que la segunda parte se supone que mejora a este en todo xD, asi que más adelante iré a por ella.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown: control exquisito, jefes divertidos y en ocasiones desafiante. Gran metroidvania con historia meh. Llevaba sin jugar a Prince of Persia desde primeros de los 90 en un 486.
The Messenger + Picnic Panic: mola. Lo jugué de salida en Switch y la verdad que es genial como rompe la cuarta pared. Como metroidvania es algo limitado pero es un buen juego directo y sencillo que no promete más. Geniales los 2 jefes del DLC, hubiera molado haber metido un par más.

juegazo como la copa de un pino. 60hs que he disfrutado como un enano. me ha encantado, como todo lo que he jugado de Vanillaware: Muramasa, Dragon's Crown, Odin Sphere y 13 sentinels. pero en 13 sentinels y en este se han superado. a ver qué tal el siguiente

Muy continuista en todo, hasta en la estructura con el juego original, los coleccionables son algo más chulos y se agradece. La historia algo más cruda pero creo que se dejan cosas que podrían haber profundizado con Kraven por ejemplo. No obstante buen juego palomitero.

Pese a que es una copia descarada del Zelda BoW, en todos los aspectos menos en el argumental, me ha encantado. Una pena que esté tan infravalorado, a mi me parece un juego que si llega a llamarse Zelda hubiese tenido otro reconocimiento. Mola que esté basado en la mitología griega. Peca de ser demasiado fácil (me lo pase en normal) aunque alguna cámara contrarreloj es bastante puñetera.

No conocía este juego y ha resultado una auténtica sorpresa y una maravilla.
La historia va de dos hermanas, Par e Impar, que viven en la ciudad del Uno el mundo del Azar (Random) gobernado por una malvada reina que decide el destino de todos sus habitantes cuando estos cumplen 12 años, haciéndoles tirar un dado negro. De esta manera quedará marcado su destino para siempre, pues vivirán en una ciudad u otra, dependiendo del número que haya salido en el dado. Si sale el 1, vivirán en Unburbio, si sale un dos, en Londos y así hasta los que sacan un 6 que son los elegidos para vivir junto a la reina en Seistopía.
La aventura empieza cuando Impar cumple 12 años y llega el momento de su tirada y saca un 6 y es llevada junto a la reina y su hermana menor, Par decide que va a ir a rescatarla.
Estamos ante una aventura muy original, en la que la estética bebe mucho de Tim Burton, y con una banda sonora sensacional.
Pero el juego no se queda sólo en el apartado visual y sonoro. El planeamiento que nos ofrece es realmente original y variado, ya que habrá una mezcla de acción y estrategia que será fundamental para avanzar en el juego.
Además unas misiones secundarias que añadirán profundidad a la historia.
El juego no es difícil ni largo en exceso, tiene una medida justa, que en 20h te lo puedes pasar perfectamente, pero he disfrutado de él todas y cada una y según iba avanzando todavía más.
Me da mucha pena que para la segunda parte hayan prescindido del equipo original y hayan cambiado totalmente el estilo de juego y su estética y lo hayan convertido en un Hades de la vida, porque la propuesta de este Lost in Random era realmente fresca.
El único punto negativo que le encuentro al juego, y que por eso no le pongo un 10, es que no tenga la posibilidad de volver a un punto de guardado anterior o elegir entre varios puntos de guardados, por si te has dejado un coleccionable o en vez de eso, que no tenga un modo de partida +.
Por todo lo demás, es un juego excelente.
06/04 Cocoon [Series]

Por fin estrenamos año (madre mia NeOz, primer juego completado en abril, la paternidad te esta matando)

Fuera coñas este juego era una tarea pendiente del año pasado. La verdad que me ha gustado bastante pero reconozco que he tirado de guia en algunos puntos porque no era capaz de seguir avanzando. Una de las razones era que retomaba el juego al cabo de algunos meses y no recordaba casi nada, pero bueno, al menos he podido acabarlo que ya es mucho.
04/04 - The Last of Us: Parte I (PS5) 7.25

Sentimientos encontrados con este juego, que ya me pasé en su momento. No es un mal juego, para nada, pero tampoco me termina de decir nada. El gunplay y la sensación de disparo son bastante malos, hasta el punto de que los tiroteos no son divertidos y prefieres evitarlos. Sus mecanicas de sigilo y crafteo, aunque efectivas, son lo más plano y básico que existe. Casi constantemente tienes la sensación de estar en unas galerías de tiro (con sus muebles y tal para ir jugando al pilla pilla del sigilo) conectadas por pasillos en los que va sucediendo la narrativa. La historia está bien, aunque más propia del peliculón de Antena3 que de una peli de David Lynch, la verdad.

En general creo que es un buen juego, nadie duda de ello, pero se siente como tremendo blockbuster, un juego medido hasta el milímetro para gustar, que toma escasos riesgos con una jugabilidad que no es muy estimulante, y pensada para que sea el guión el que te lleve de la mano hasta el final,

¡El rey sólo ante el peligro! Controlamos únicamente la pieza del rey mientras nos enfrentamos a oleadas de piezas de ajedrez en un roguelike donde cada vez que finalizamos un nivel se nos obsequia con una habilidad mientras que también se nos otorga un handicap que dificulta o intensifica a nuestros enemigos. El concepto es original, ya que mezcla el juego de ajedrez con los movimientos típicos de ésta y nos hace escoger las habilidades de manera estratégica según nuestra manera de jugar. Contaremos con una escopeta que nos ayudará a aniquilar a las fichas enemigas que aumentan a medida que progresemos. Como pega puede terminar resultando repetitivo, pero para partidas cortas (y si sois amantes de la ajedrez) es un juego entretenido.

¡Crank en videojuego! Sólo contamos con 10 segundos de vida y para sobrevivir debemos matar a nuestros enemigos en este frenético FPS puesto hasta arriba de estupefacientes. Han bordado la estética retro-anime cyberpunk, con claras inspiraciones de Akira y su música está a la altura. Podría compararse con una versión FPS de Hotline Miami (juego del que mama mucho este Mullet MadJack, tanto a nivel de gameplay como estética), pero al ir contrarreloj se juega de una manera mucho más intensa. En función de como acabemos con nuestros enemigos se nos otorgarán más o menos segundos de vida para proseguir, con lo cual el juego te pide ser habilidoso, ya sea con certeros head shots o usar el entorno para acabar con ellos. Además, a medida que avancemos niveles se nos presentan más handicaps así como nuevos enemigos que exigen afrontarlos de maneras diferentes y estratégicas. Una vez entras en el flow del juego y dejas que te atrape es un viaje psicotrópico del cual no quieres volver, porque el juego engancha cosa mala. Sus niveles no suelen durar más de un minuto y cada vez que lleguemos al final se nos otorga la posibilidad de adquirir habilidades o nuevas armas, personalizando nuestra manera de jugar.

Para mí ha sido la sorpresa del año. Un juego original, bien parido, hecho con mucho mimo, amor y sentido del humor. Su gameplay es como ir puesto de coca en una discoteca repleta de tiroteos y explosiones a mil por hora. Tu frecuencia cardíaca aumentará cuando probéis esta droga llamada Mullet MadJack, asegurado. ¡Cuidado con la sobredosis de frenetismo que os espera!

Terminado The Ancient Gods. La primera parte es una locura, me gusta lo frenético de esta saga, pero en este caso se han pasado. Cualquiera de los combates de esta primera parte es más difícil y tiene más enemigos que los del juego base. Muy bestia.

En la segunda parte se han relajado un poco, quitando cierto combate todo demás es más como el juego base, incluso en jefe final.

Ahora a esperar a The Dark Ages
02. 07/04/2025: Dragon Quest XI S: Ecos de un pasado perdido / El JRPG más arquetípico, para lo bueno... y para lo malo. Bueno porque está muy bien diseñado, con una progresión de niveles satisfactoria y poderes para todos los gustos, infinidad de armas, accesorios, compra/venta, forja, robos... Pero malo también porque son 90 horazas (en mi caso) de peleas por turnos bastante sosas y con una historia lamentablemente repleta de clichés del género. Jugué hace años al DQ8 en la 3DS y tengo la sensación de haber jugado exactamente a lo mismo en cuanto a mecánicas e historia. Qué pena, por cierto, que la versión 3DS de este juego no hubiera salido de Japón.

Técnicamente muy bonito, pese a ser un port de Switch se ve todo fenomenal excepto algunos bajones de resolución y texturas algo cantosas. La vegetación es menos frondosa que en la versión lanzada en 2017, pero da el pego bien. Estupendo diseño de entornos, con mucha variedad aunque da la sensación de ser un mundo algo más comprimido que el de DQ8. Muy buena la banda sonora orquestada, pero repetitiva también. Y tronchante el bestiario de Akira Toriyama.

No he probado el modo 2D ni he completado muchas pruebas de Horense ni submisiones, hacia el final del juego he aprovechado el modo de subir de nivel rápidamente mediante Aleluya y ElectroLuz para darle pasaporte cuanto antes.

Para que juegue un futuro DQ, van a tener que cambiar bastantes cosas.

He llegado a un punto de saturación con ellos y hace unos meses me puse con el Dragon Quest XI S para romper un poco esa dinámica. Me está gustando pero entre medias me apetecía jugar a algo con un poco más de acción directa y sin turnos. Tenía pendiente este God of War que regalaron en su día con la iniciativa Play at Home, como incentivo para quedarse en casa con toda la movida del COVID. Nunca había jugado a los GoW de PS2 y PS3.

Pues bien, acabo de terminar el juego en unas 36 horas y algo menos de mes y medio (no tengo mucho tiempo para jugar y soy bastente manco) y tengo que decir que estoy APABULLADO. No creo que sea el mejor juego al que haya jugado pero quizá sí sea el que presenta mejores valores de producción y uno de los mejor diseñados. Es espectacular a todos los niveles.

Gráficamente parece casi imposible que sea de PS4. Vale que lo he jugado en la PS5, en modalidad PS4Pro con mejores tiempos de carga y demás pero es que es de no creer lo burro que es. Algunas cargas disimuladas con pasillos aquí y allí pero es que es lo único malo que tiene. Es muy curioso que todo el juego sea un plano secuencia, habrá tenido que ser un todo un desafío lograrlo. Impecable sonido también, y perfecto doblaje.

Y ante todo, es muy divertido de jugar. Me han encantado las mini-mazmorras que se plantean cada vez que hay que abrir algún cofre con runas. Y las peleas son geniales, sientes que tienes el control en cada momento y que si dominas el timing, puedes con cualquier cosa. Bueno, cualquier cosa menos las valquirias que paso de ponerme con ellas, al igual que esos dos reinos ocultos a los que he conseguido llegar pero en los que no he profundizado. Es un juego al que se le pueden meter infinidad de horas, si quieres. Yo ya he tenido bastante y prefiero quedarme con este buen sabor de boca.

Me inicio en la saga con muy buen sabor de boca.

Un juego de un tiempo que no volverá, yendo al grano constantemente, cero relleno en la campaña, sin hacerme perder el tiempo. Rebosa frescura e ideas, mecánicas y bosses variados y diversión constante.

Juego frenético, corto y fresco. En resumen se trata de capítulos en torno a 60/90 segundos de duración, con la premisa de que mueres a los 10 segundos y la única manera aumentar tu vida es eliminar a los enemigos del nivel, con premios por hacerlo de manera "creativa".

Estéticamente esta muy conseguido, el gunplay es divertido y todo en general se nota cuidado, salvo algún detalle de la traducción.

Es una experiencia intensa, corta (si te ciñes a la campaña principal) y divertida.

Juego con un potencial enorme, y que algunas cosas las hace excelentemente bien. Pero que por algunas decisiones francamente nefastas e inexplicables, me ha acabado dejando un regusto muy agrio.

Para quien no lo conozca, es un metroidvania con fuerte énfasis en el combate coqueteando con el género soulslike, muy en la onda de títulos como Blasphemous. Siendo este su principal punto fuerte. El combate es ágil, dinámico, y se controla a las mil maravillas. Con varios tipos de armas a escoger, que ofrecen mecánicas de combate muy variadas. También hay que destacar positivamente su aspecto visual. Un estilo anime dibujado a mano, con colores muy vivos, que sin duda entra por los ojos. La gran variedad de escenarios, y lo detallado de estos, no hace sino reforzar este punto positivo. ¿Los jefes? Pues en general bien. Son variados, imponentes, y difíciles sin ser injustos. Salvo una excepción...

Luego tenemos una serie de puntos que sin estar mal, son mejorables. Como una banda sonora muy discreta, una historia muy confusa que no aporta nada (con un final, el verdadero, muy soso), y unos personajes secundarios olvidables. Pero lo que de verdad hace bajar tanto la nota global es, sin duda, la exploración. Sin medias tintas, el juego es una completa cagada en este aspecto. Nunca sabes hacia donde tienes que ir, los escenarios son confusos, el backtracking es por momentos excesivo y cargante; y en general estás la mayoría del tiempo dando vueltas a lo tonto sin tener claro cual es tu objetivo. Lo digo claro, sin guía o sin toneladas de paciencia no os lo pasáis. Y la paciencia sola no os va a bastar para sacarse el final verdadero. Ah, y las conversaciones no se pueden saltar. Como se os atragante algún jefe, os tendréis que tragar la charla previa irremediablemente. Y ya aviso que la del jefe final es muuuuuuuuuuy larga... No queráis saber lo que es tener que tragárosla de nuevo.

Una lástima, porque tenía potencial para convertirse en uno de mis títulos favoritos del género. Y me ha quedado dejando esta sensación final ligeramente desagradable. De llegar a cierto punto que solo quería terminarlo cuanto antes, y pasar a otra cosa.

Tenía todas las ganas de volver a escribir en el diario del cazador y apuntarme bichejos que no había visto cuando lo jugué de salida en Switch. Ha sido una auténtica gozada. Lo he disfrutado mucho más que de salida, he matado jefes que desconocía, muchísimos, así como visto zonas que no sabía ni que existían. Lo he dejado al 109% con 50 horas de partida después de pasar el Panteón del Maestro. Destacar el jefe final del 2º dlc, Rey Pesadilla Grimm, me ha reeeeeeflipado.
Eso sí, no me han quedado ganas para seguir con esos panteones ni hacer el 112%

- Metro Awakening (Valve Index): 8. Como alguien a quien el exodus me dejo asombrado y siendo un gran seguidor de la VR le tenía muchisimas ganas. Es el gran juego que esperaba pero el control se me ha hecho un tanto tosco.
- Homeworld 3 (i9 + RTX3080): 5. Sabía que no me iba a gustar pero estando en el choice pues me animé y me ha dejado muy muy frío.
- Still Wakes The Deep (Razer Advanced 15): 8. Muy buen juego y gran ambientación la de The Chinese Room. Problemas de drivers pero al final solucionado.
- Avantar Frontiers of Pandora (PS5 Pro): 7. Juego correcto sin apenas más que podría haber dado mucho más de sí y que no es más que otro mundo abierto aburrido y simple de Ubisoft, sin dirección ni nada de interés. Le tenia ganas pues se veía de escándalo pero me ha dejado como si no lo hubiese jugado.

Y bueno, estrenamos la PS5 Pro después de las ofertas de Aliexpress. De momento nada destacable aunque supongo que los proximos juegos de Sony daran la nota. A los periodistas que dijeron que el Gran Turismo 7 era como la noche y el dia en PS5 Pro que por favor se lo hagan mirar. Es idéntico, se ve igual.

Lo probé en la época en casa de unos amigos y flipé con la estética, aparte me pareció divertidísima la mecánica de lanzar cochinos y me voló la cabeza al backtracking. Pero creo que no avanzamos más allá de la ciudad de los enanos. El caso es que aunque lo tenía pendiente de jugar en Mister (bendito core de PS1) no me he animado hasta ahora y..... MAAAAADDRRRREEEE MÍA QUE JUEGARRO. Platino en 12 horas de vicio insado en 3 sesiones. Maravilla de banda sonora. Me ha flipado de principio a fin. Fujiwara GOD. Única pega que le pongo los tiempos de carga, ahí han fallado.

Aventura gráfica del estudio Out of the blue que desarrolla un juego de puzzles con alta carga narrativa. Personalmente, los puzzles no me han parecido difíciles pero si requerían una lectura y una reflexión justa. La historia me ha interesado mucho deseando conocer lo que le pasó a esta expedición en una isla de la Polinesia. Puedo entender que si no entras en la historia te cueste terminarla pero, en resumen, aventura gráfica en 3D agradable y que me ha llevado unas 12 horas en completar.

Hace tiempo que disfruté del tropico 4 y tenia pendiente desde hace tiempo. No es tan bueno como aquel pero sigue siendo muy relajante y divertido. El soporte con mando de PC es de 10 y se juega genial. La estrategia pues obviamente no es un hearts of iron pero tampoco lo busca y como juego de echarme una misión antes de dormir cuando ya tengo la cabeza más allá que aquí me ha venido de perlas y sigue teniendo su intringulis para hacer funcionar la isla bien.

Por cierto, jugado en la Ally. Que pedazo de aparato. Entre los juegos de PC propios, emulación y el streaming en local de la PS5, casi no he encendido otra pantalla para jugar que la de esta maquina. En la vida de adulto es lo mejor que hay para encontrar ese tiempo que tenias muerto y seguir disfrutando de esta afición

Astro Bot (PS5) 10

Desde que probé en su día Astro Room en PS4 me descuadró que ese juego fuese gratuito pero vamos, que genial que lo fuese. Lo que sí tenía claro era el potencial de ese juego y me extrañaba que no hubiesen sacado un juego de plataformas más profundo, más grande, más trabajado y por supuesto de pago porque no tendría sentido un juego así gratis sin ninguna manera de monetizarlo. Mucho tardaron.

En resumen, que empecé a jugarlo desde hace un mes y lo he dejado por terminar otros como el AC Shadows para aprovechar el mes del Ubisoft +. Y aunque al principio me parecía una maravilla, tenía mis dudas de si estaba ante el mejor juego de plataformas que había jugado jamás. Más habiendo terminado hacía meses el Mario Bros Wonder que aunque es en 2D me sigue pareciendo el mejor juego de plataformas en 2D y uno de los mejores de la historia en general. Pero ya no tengo dudas de cuál es el mejor juego de plataformas al que he jugado siempre. Después de terminarlo, sin duda el Astro Bot. Por encima de cualquier Mario y me encantan la mayoría.

Pero es que el Astro Bot es el juego perfecto. En todo. Banda sonora, gráficos impresionantes y una jugabilidad perfecta. Exquisita. Unas mecánicas muy originales y básicamente un juego que enamora.

Para mí es un 10 porque como he dicho, es un juego perfecto, redondo. No le quitaría ni le pondría nada más. Bueno sí, por mí que durase otras 10 o 15 horas, claro.

Perfecto juego de desengrase, corto y lineal, te cuenta una historia a caballo entre la melancolía y la esperanza. A nivel Gameplay no inventa la rueda y puede hacerse repetitivo, especialmente los combates. El plataformeo es algo más satisfactorio. A nivel artístico si que brilla con luz propia, y la música es una delicia. Si tienes gamepass es un must en toda regla

Había leído muchas comparaciones con el Mario Odissey, lógico siendo el último Mario 3D, pero en realidad tiene una filosofía bastante diferente, y que comparte en realidad mucho más con los Super Mario Galaxy, y especialmente del 2: niveles muy cortos, muy directos, muy rejugables y muy densos en mecánicas y secretos. Y no digo que sea mejor que los mejores juegos del fontanero, pero el mero hecho de haber conseguido que me lo pregunte me parece una proeza en sí misma. Ojalá más (creo que está casi garantizado).

En historia y narrativa (de hecho, sobretodo en narrativa, más que en historia) me ha parecido sublime, pero cada vez que el juego se pone "gamey" pierde interés por resultar bien abusrdamente sencillo, bien algo obtuso, pero sobretodo por que se sienten bastante pegotes despegados de la experiencia general, metidos con calzador por que "hay que poner mecánicas, no vaya a ser que nos llamen walking sim". Lo recomiendo pese a todo, a precio razonable.
