Acojonante que un sólo desarrollador haya sido de capaz aglutinar semejante aventura que mezcla conceptos de walking simulator, puzles, sigilo y acción. Hail to the Rainbow no es perfecto, se le notan las costuras de mecánicas poco pulidas como en el combate, pero no por ello es un mal juego (todo lo contrario). Es una aventura atmosférica que hará las delicias de amantes de juegos como SOMA o Kona.

Interpretamos el papel de Ignat, un joven adolescente en busca de sus padres en un mundo post apocalíptico controlado por máquinas. La sensación de desolación del mundo recreado es perfecta; edificios abonados, cadáveres en la intemperie, nieve que se cuela por cada rincón que recorremos. Deberemos buscar provisiones para abastecernos del frío o el hambre, ya que mecánicas tan simples como leer tablets usarán energía de nuestras baterías. Todo esto le da énfasis a meternos en la piel de supervivencia de nuestro protagonista, ya que la atmósfera es uno de los puntos fuertes de este juego. Nuestra aventura se divide en diferentes capítulos, y pese a que inicialmente parece que estamos ante un walking simulator, pronto veremos que el juego va tomando otras direcciones ofreciendo momentos de todo tipo, incluyendo combate con armas de fuego o momentos de sigilo y huida. La producción de Hail to the Rainbow es muy alta, con una banda sonora que encaja con la melancolía y tristeza de la aventura de Ignat. A lo largo del juego se nos va contando la progresión de la historia con cortas escenas y flashbacks.

Si te gustan los juegos que no te dan pistas para progreguir estás de enhorabuena, porque en Hail to the Rainbow debemos prestar continua atención a todo para avanzar. Puede ser fácil quedar atascado, ya que algunos puzles pueden ser algo rebuscados (que no exigentes, normalmente con explorar a fondo cada rincón logramos encontrar pistas que nos ayuden a proseguir). La longitud del juego es más que aceptable, rondando las 15-20h. En definitiva un título indie muy a la altura que demuestra que no hacen falta grandes presupuestos ni equipos de cientos de desarrolladores para ofrecer una aventura formidable.

Pragmata: me pilló jugando al principio de las vacaciones y entre tantos planes prácticamente ni lo toqué durante meses. Hacía tiempo que no tenía que empezar un juego de nuevo. Pero empezarlo de nuevo y no parar. La propuesta es original, divertida y el personaje de Diana se hace de querer. Es la Capcom que nos representa a muchos y que nos representa. Sí es cierto que por ponerle un pequeño pega es que en dificultad estándar se hace quizás demasiado sencillo y la verdadera diversión-reto está en la sala entrenamientos, pero bueno, es cosa de los tiempos que corren, y el que quiera desafías ahí están. Yo soy más de encontrármelos sin tener que elegirlos, por eso le pongo solo ese pero.
Portal 2: la fatídica decisión de Sony de terminar con el formato físico me hizo replantearme mi forma de consumir videojuegos. Sobretodo la forma en que la empresa comunicó todo me hizo sentirme hasta insultado. Como consumidor asiduo de sus productos desde PS4 (antes lo era solo de forma ocasional) son cosas que no puedo dejar pasar. El caso es que me dije "vamos a volver a probar Steam, a ver cómo se siente en 2026" (llevaba sin tocarlo desde el 2017). Me compré una Legion Go S z1ext hace apenas semanas y pasarme Portal 2, juego que había comprado de saldo hacía 10 años..., se ha convertido en una de las experiencias videojueguiles top 10 de mi vida. Tanto que he decidido volver al PC con todo.

- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (Xbox Series X): 9,75. Muy bueno en todo, el ser un gran fan de la leyenda del minotauro ha influenciado evidentemente pero todo en el juego me ha encantado.
- Endzone A World Apart (i9 9940X + RTX3080): 6,50. Una pena que el estudio haya cerrado pero es que no aportaba nada y las mecánicas tanto de city builder como de estrategia no aportan absolutamente nada. Vamos es que el agua que te den 4 opciones cuando todas son inútiles pues telita.
- Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth (One Xplayer X1 + GPD G1): 9,5. Muy bueno tanto en historia como en combate aunque un tanto lento de ritmo.
- Train Valley 2 (i9 9940X + RTX3080): 0. El peor juego que he comprado nunca, no vale ni los 0,99€ que he pagado por él y nada, he visto que varios de los amigos que tengo en steam han caido también. Para devolverlo.
- Jak 3 (Ayn Thor Pro): 9. Me ha dejado un mal sabor de boca, no es para nada como lo recordaba, mucho más difícil y con una ambientación mucho más cerrada y limitada. Definitivamente no ha sido lo que esperaba pero me he reido lo he difrutado como el primer día. Ojala algun dia veamos algo más de esta serie.
- Halo Campaign Evolved (Xbox Series X): 5. Me ha parecido un juego aburridísimo al nivel de publicidad de YouTube. Ni las largas escenas ni lo vacío de los escenarios o el poco sentido del gunplay tienen nada. Parece que han cogido un emulador y le han puesto hierba al campo y poco más.
- Ready or Not (i9 9940X 9 + RTX3080): 7. Juego al que apenas me he jugado la campaña pues no soy de online. Me ha gustado, sobretodo la ambientación pero que con el tiempo se hace un tanto repetitivo el concepto, especialmente habiendo comprado todas las expansiones. Aún así, valoro mucho que tenga modo de un jugador y el concepto en general.
- Pokemon Pokopia (Nintendo Switch 2): 7,5. No me gustan nada este tipo de juegos pero creo que este es bastante bueno, un tanto lento pero creo que esa es la gracia de este tipo de juegos. Lo siento pero no he podido más que pasar del tutorial.
- Mewgenics (Nintendo Switch 2): 6. Tampoco es mi tipo de juego aunque sí que me ha molado el concepto de las peleas pero no los gatos. Creo que tira demasiado forzado de diversos conceptos y lo complicado todo demasiada, me esperaba algo más directo pero sobretodo del estilo de fácil de entender y díficil de dominar y creo que es justo todo lo contrario.

Sé que suena a tópico, pero es el típico juego que te justifica la mensualidad del Gamepass. Un juego que nunca hubiese estado en mi radar y que me ha dado 15h increiblemente divertidas y adictivas. Que un indie de este tipo te haga aparcar un triple A te reconcilia con este hobbie. Y es que se trata de un juego de una sencillez aplastante, sin tutoriales, casi sin historia, fresquito para el verano. Un juego de los de antes, de ponerte a jugar y que el tiempo se pase volando sin interrupciones.

Controlas una nave con el stick izquierdo y disparas con el stick derecho, y conforme avanza el juego vas obteniendo distintas habilidades que van ampliando la jugabilidad, buscando un equilibrio perfecto entre un manejo exquisito y una dificultad desafiante cuando quiere serlo, pero a la vez asequible para los que ya peinamos canas. El juego siempre te marca tu siguiente objetivo pero tú debes buscar el camino para llegar a él a partir de las habilidades nuevas que vas adquiriendo, al estilo metroidvania. Y la exploración es magnífica, lo que invita al completismo.

Por ponerle algún defecto, se hace un pelín largo el tramo final. Y el endgame sobra, se nota un añadido para alargar artificialmente el juego. No obstante, el momento final del endgame es bastante emotivo y un buen guiño a los juegos clásicos. Destacar también la cantidad de opciones de accesibilidad disponibles para facilitar el juego si fuera necesario. En resumen, un imprescindible, el típico juego que entra bien en cualquier momento y a cualquier tipo de jugador, y que te va a hacer aparcar el triple A que estés jugando, avisado quedas.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (Xbox Series S/X) 9,0

No lo jugué en su día aún teniéndolo para Xbox así que jugué directamente esta versión y es una auténtica gozada. Si bien para mí no es mi favorito como he leído sobre otras personas, sí está en el top 5 de la saga. Desde luego me gusta más que los 3 primeros que se hacían hiper repetitivos.

Este no llega a ser rpg como a partir de Origins, pero sí es bastante más mundo abierto que los primeros (desde el principio puedes ir adonde quieras sin muros invisibles que te impiden continuar hasta que no avances en la historia). Es una gozada ir descubriendo islas, sus personajes y la historia.

El juego me duró unas 35 horas y exploré bastante aunque no a fondo, solo lo que me iba cogiendo de paso hacia el punto de las misiones. Apenas hice alguna misión secundaria (en este juego no hay muchas) aunque luego hay contratos navales, de asesinato y algunas tareas más. Descubrir tesoros, etc... Pero si se va a saco se puede terminar seguramente entre 20 y 25 horas.

Una cosa que no es que me encantara pero sí que al menos no me molestó, fue manejar el barco. En la mayoría de juegos, ya sea de esta saga o cualquier otra, no me gusta el tema naval, pero aquí se hace bastante ameno.

Cuarta parte muy esperada por mi parte ya que la saga Metroid es de mis favoritas.El juego se anunció en 2017 y se retrasó varias veces debido a problemas de desarrollo.Pese a todo el juego es muy bueno y mantiene el nivel de calidad de la saga Prime.

Qué difícil es darle una nota a un juego cuando tiene cosas de 10 y cosas de 5... empezando por lo bueno: gráficamente es espectacular, verlo moverse a 30 fps rocosos en Series S es magia negra. Ni un bajón de frames en toda la parte jugable, ni en los combates ni cuando hay multitud de elementos en pantalla. También es verdad que el juego es un pasillo continuo donde solo te desvías de vez en cuando para coger algún coleccionable. A nivel sonoro otro espectáculo, las voces que oyes, el sonido espacial, el doblaje, la música... un 10.

¿Entonces en qué falla? En todo lo demás. Quiere ser un viaje épico y en mi opinión solo lo consigue en el último tramo del juego, que es realmente increíble. El resto del tiempo no sabe qué quiere contarte y tú como jugador estás igual de confundido que Senua sobre el objetivo de su viaje. A eso le sumas unos problemas de ritmo tremendos que hacen que por momentos haya que hacer verdaderos esfuerzos para no dormirte. Puzles que no funcionan, combate que no innova nada respecto al primero... y la sensación constante de que estás en un juego sobre raíles.

Y ojo, que lo cogí con ganas, que si veis los juegos que llevo este año, me gustan aquellos que tienen un fuerte componente narrativo. Y entiendo que han apostado por este apartado gráfico para que sintamos que estamos controlando a una persona de verdad y no a un muñeco, con un ausencia total de interfaz. Pero lo he acabado casi obligado. De hecho, me ha dado una pereza tremenda tener que rejugar algunos tramos para coger los coleccionables que me faltaban. En fin, next.

Cuesta resumir en unas líneas un juego como Eastward con sus luces y sus sombras. Me quedo con lo bueno que son varias cosas: un pixel art chuísimo, buenas animaciones, un mundo con personalidad y buena música. Sin embargo, es un juego al que los aspectos negativos le condenan como la duración demasiada larga y narrativa irregular o el de ritmo dispar entre combate y diálogos. Se disfruta pero deja la sensación de que con poquito, podría haber sido una aventura redonda. Muy valorable la incorporación del español como parche ya que el juego es largo y los diálogos abundantes.

Antes de empezar, quiero remarcar que no soy fan de la saga, mi primer Yakuza fue el de 2020, del que tengo un grato recuerdo, y luego disfruté bastante del Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, que hace de puente narrativo entre el de 2020 y este. Pero aún sin ser fan, los 2 anteriores me habían gustado bastante, por lo que sobre el papel este también debería hacerlo, pero puf, qué tremenda decepción. Mi principal problema con el juego es que casi nunca quiere tomarse en serio, y para cuando quiere hacerlo ya es tarde. Las primeras 15 horas son absolutamente soporíferas, uno de los inicios más lentos que recuerdo en mi historia videojueguil.

La historia tarda demasiado en arrancar. El de 2020 estaba mucho mejor escrito, más serio, más emocionante. Y encima prácticamente todo el juego está contado a través de 2 partys distintas, la de Ichiban y la de Kiryu, que nunca llegan a mezclarse, que tienen tonos distintos, y que en mi opinión, ninguna de las 2 funciona. En la de Ichiban muchas cosas pasan porque patata, y la de Kiryu es demasiado fan service, de forma que si no sigues la saga no conectas con la historia. Podría compensarse con buenas misiones secundarias, pero son tan ridículas que me da vergüenza que alguien me vea jugarlas... y todo aderezado con gráficos de inicios de PS3/360.

¿Todo es malo? No, el combate es bastante divertido e innova respecto al anterior, haciéndolo más ágil, aunque con la sensación de que la dificultad es sensiblemente menor. Esto no es necesariamente malo, en el de 2020 tenías que farmear niveles sin remedio para avanzar en la historia, y en este si vas haciendo el contenido secundario el juego está más equilibrado. En fin, me ha durado 80h que no considero perdidas pero que me hacen dudar enormemente si en el futuro jugar el siguiente...

Completado al 100%, solo tenía pensado jugarme la historia para recordar el juego, que llevaba sin tocarlo desde PSP, pero al final ya puestos he acabado sacandolo todo.

Es un ARPG con un sistema de combate y unas mecánicas que lo hacen muy asequible para alguien que no tenga mucho recorrido en este género.

Hay que tener en cuenta que es una remasterización del original de PSP, tiene alguna que otra mejora jugable que se agradece bastante, pero aun así creo que el tema de las misiones secundarias se podría haber aprovechado para darle una vuelta. Hay demasiadas, son prácticamente todas muy parecidas y deberían estar algo más integradas en la historia, pero bueno esto entiendo que es cosa del original y de como lo enfocaron para tener la posibilidad de jugar partidas rápidas en una portátil.

Aún con todo, juego muy entretenido y con muy buena banda sonora. para mi es imprescindible jugarlo si te gusta Final Fantasy VII por tema de historia y personajes.

Los voy a meter en el mismo saco por pertenecer a la misma saga, aunque tengan poco que ver.

Requiem es un juego muy continuista respecto a su primera entrega, aunque mete alguna novedades a nivel jugable (aunque sencillas, que no se usan demasiado y tampoco aportan mucho), pero sigue la misma tonica, por lo que poco que decir en ese aspecto. Lo mas destacable es la evolucion de la historia y de la relacion entre Amicia y Hugo, la inclusion de Sophia, una musica que acompaña perfectamente y que, como en el primero, es buenisima y que a nivel grafico sigue viendose increiblemente bien hoy en dia.

Resonance es el que si que se aparta de lo que es la saga. Cambiamos un juego de sigilo sin combate a melee, por una aventura con combate a melee. Lo mas destacable, el diseño de la isla del minotauro, maravilloso (ojala hicieran un juego enterito de dicha historia llevando a Teseo), la historia que esta bastante bien y ademas enlaza con los anteriores (el juego se situa varios años antes de los anteriores A Plague Tale), el personaje de Sophia y de nuevo la musica; diria que a nivel grafico, y pese a su diseño maravilloso, es algo mas flojo que Requiem.

Lo peor del juego, para mi, es que al final se acaba haciendo un pelin repetitivo debido a la inclusion del sigilo en la parte final (diria que el ultimo tercio o cuarto del juego) porque ademas me parece que no funciona bien del todo, y por los puzzles, que si bien esta bien que los tenga, acaban siendo todos casi iguales y extremadamente faciles.

Para mi es una saga recomendadisima, y aunque este juego pasa años antes, jugaria a los juegos en el orden en que salieron, porque hay una escena por la parte final, que puede spoilearte parte de los otros dos.
