Thanks for your email. I'm pleased to hear that you are ready to upgrade your system and appreciate you choosing Crucial. We certainly have the right memory for your upgrade.
Your ASUS K52JU has 2 memory slots and can accept up to 8GB of RAM in total, where each slot can support a maximum of 4GB.
This laptop requires a specific style of module and it needs memory with black chips on both sides. Memory of this type is low density and the 4GB modules you need require 16 black chips in total. I suspect that the memory you have tried before was only 8 chip which is high density. All our memory for this system is low density and fully compatible. Our sales history for this system is excellent.
You can view or order the guaranteed compatible parts at the link below:
http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible ... for//k52juOnce you have loaded the above page, clicking on "view more compatible memory upgrades" will expand the list. Prices shown are valid for one business day only.
You should also be aware that the amount of memory your Windows OS will recognize depends on which version of Windows you are running. 32-bit versions of Windows will see (and utilise) around 3 - 3.5GB when 4GB or more is installed. To utilise more memory, you would need to install a 64-bit version of your OS. You can find more information on our Knowledge Base at the following link:

EDITO2:
Hello Victor,
Thank you for your reply. Our 1.35V modules are also designed to be dual voltage and they will very happily run at 1.5V which your system will automatically set them at.
I can re-assure you that these parts will certainly be fine for your system and will work very well.
