Buenas a tod@s, aprendiendo hacer instalaciones en Linux (Debian), me encuentro con los siguientes problemas (estoy instalando el dock plank):

1. Me baje una carpeta que al descomprimir salieron varios ficheros, carpetas.... Allí decía los pasos a instalar:
a. ./autogen.sh (otras cosas mas)
b. make install (aqui dejo la captura)

Así que por este método fue imposible.

2. Baje otro que solo tenian archivos .deb
a. dpkg -i *.deb
b. (si habia errores de dependencia) apt-get install -f (aqui captura)

Al mirar no se pudo instalar

3. Buscando mas info encontré otra opción añadir repositorio:

Asi que no se como mas instalar, cualquier sugerencia bien recibida gracias.

Para instalar plank en Debian solo tienes que hacer lo siguiente:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install plank

Antes de bajar cosas y seguir procedimientos "raros" para instalar software, asegúrate que no está en los repositorios.

Ok gracias por la info, pero me parece que eso también lo hice y me salió también un error, ahora no recuerdo pero ahora que pueda miro e informo...

Listo amigo ya tuve tiempo de probar y esto fue lo que sucedió, esto era lo que me salia al ingresar los comandos mencionados:

Después de investigar un poco mas me di cuenta que no tenia lista de repositorios, así que añadí unos de una pagina y al hacer los comandos de nuevo se soluciono.

Tienes un cifostio guapo de repos y asi tu experiencia sera una mierda.

Para empezar, los repos de debian los esta sacando del dvd en vez de internet y para seguir tienes repos adicionales de ubuntu 19.10 (los ppa esos eoan) en la instalacion de stretch, lo cual va a terminar si o si en conflicto de versiones en paquetes del sistema como glibc o openssl.

Pese a que utilizan el mismo sistema de paquetes, cada version de debian o ubuntu por lo general necesitan sus propios repositorios y esa mezcla que tienes va a terminar mal.

Necesitas rehacer tu configuracion de sources de apt y ceñirte a usar repos de stretch desde mirrors en red. Realmente es cosa de tocar /etc/apt/sources.conf y lo que haya en sources.conf.d/, pero viendo tus conocimientos yo te recomendaria reinstalar para empezar de 0 y antes de nada aprender como funciona el sistema de paquetes, ya sea usando apt o un gestor grafico. Hasta entender como funciona el sistema, todo lo que este en repos oficiales, instalalo de alli y lo que no este procura encontrarlo en algun repositorio adicional para tu distro/version. Si, en stretch algunas cosas estan ya viejas, es lo que tiene un ciclo de vida alto. Si estar al dia es vital la experiencia sera mejor con una distro rolling tipp arch o de ciclos cortos como fedora o ubuntu en su version no lts

Te recomendaría que formatearas el sistema operativo, y una vez lo tengas instalado, usa algún programa como Timeshift para tomar instantáneas y poder volver al punto donde todo estaba bien. Así puedes probar todo lo que quieras de la forma que quieras y da igual como esté tu sistema operativo, siempre podrás volver a un punto en el que todo está correcto.
