problema con el gestor de paquetes synaptice

Buenas ,cuando abro el gestor de paquetes ,me sale esto:E: Línea 40 mal formada en la lista de fuentes /etc/apt/sources.list (análisis de URI)
E: No se pudo leer la lista de fuentes.
Vaya al diálogo del repositorio para corregir el problema.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

Mirando por internet e visto que hay que poner este comando :sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Tambien me pasa cuando voy a desistalar algún programa ocuando voy a instalar en formato all.deb

Como dice el mensaje de error, tienes un problema en la linea 40 del archivo. Normalmente cualquier editor de texto te indica en algun sitio en que linea te encuentras, y solo has de bajar hasta la 40, y arreglarla, o inhabilitarla.

Aparentemente tu linea 40 es "deb c sudo add-apt-repository deb", que para mi no tiene ningun sentido. Imagino que te pasaste con algun copiar-pegar.

Si escribres un "#" al principio de esa linea, la inhabilitaras. Guarda los cambios y prueba de nuevo.
Muchas gracias ,estaba a punto de formatear el ordenador ,pero es la ultima posibilidad ,siempre me gusta el saber el por que de las cosas , ya se una cosa mas .gracias por la molestia ocasionada , problema resuelto
