La EULA de Windows XP Home en idioma normal

Para los que siempre habeis tenido curiosidad de lo que ponia en la EULA de Windows XP Home pero nunca habeis tenido ganas de descifrar ese monton de mierda, aquí teneis un resumen en idioma normal (inglés):

Mis favoritas son estas:
Microsoft assures you that Windows XP Home will work correctly for the first 90 days. They do not assure you that Windows XP Home or any “service packs” or “hot fixes” will work correctly after this time.
Microsoft is not responsible for anything that happens to your computer, lost time, lost documents, etc. that happens as a result of using Windows XP Home.

If Windows XP Home causes damage or otherwise misbehaves, Microsoft may choose to refund the price you paid for Windows XP Home or replace Windows XP Home. In either case, you are responsible for all related charges (such as shipping).

Microsoft will never have to pay you more than the price you originally paid for Windows XP Home.

Microsoft will not be liable for any damages caused by viruses, even if those viruses are the result of security problems in Windows XP Home.

la eximencia de garantía es algo normal, a mi me parecen más remarcables:

que una licencia de 300€ o más sólo sirva para un pc

que es ilegal (que no imposible) conectarse a más de 5 pcs para compartir recursos

que tienen derecho a inutilizarte el sistema

que pueden instalar cosas sin tu consentimiento

que pueden revender (pone compartir) la info que recauda del uso de tu pc

etc
Detrás de la GPL esta la Fundación por el Software Libre; detrás del EULA Microsoft Corp.
Una es una licencia libre, si hay un fallo lo puedes reparar tú. ¿en la otra, que puedes hacer?
Vamos a ver:

La GPL es una licencia de distribución, no de uso. Los programas GPL no suelen tener licencia de uso, así que nadie te garantiza nada (¿quien te garantiza que un jabalí salvaje que caces en el monte no va a tener una enfermedad que acabará contigo al comértelo?).

Es más, el software libre en los negocios va con una idea en mente: Vender servicios. Esto es: garantía, soporte, etc. ¡puedes elegir quien quieres que te de el soporte!

Con el software privativo (que siempre lleva licencia de uso) no puedes elegir y te tienes que joder con la que está.

Además, es bastante normal que Microsoft no garantice esas cosas... En un sistema tan grande tarde o temprano surgen fallos y sería la runia responsabilizarse de ellos. Las empresas que hacen S.O. garantizados no te cobran 300€ por una licencia... Eso es calderilla :)
