Es como si digo yo ahora: (cierto como la vida misma).
El Rey mató de un escopetazo a su hermano ¿ciego? que ocupaba su sitio en la sucesion al trono.
Menudos titulares !
Tienes razon, mea culpa.
Jon: Yes, as you've just heard, a near-tragedy over the weekend in south Texas. Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a man during a quail hunt ... making 78-year-old Harry Whittington the first person shot by a sitting veep since Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton, of course, (was) shot in a duel with Aaron Burr over issues of honor, integrity and political maneuvering. Whittington? Mistaken for a bird
The other player in the drama? Ranch owner and eyewitness Katharine Armstrong.
Katharine Armstrong: "We were shooting a covey of quail. The vice president and two others got out of the car to walk up the covey."
Jon Stewart: "What kind of hunting story begins with getting out of your car? As I sighted the great beast before us, my shaking hands could barely engage the parking brake. Slowly, I turned off the A/C and silenced my sub-woofers…"
Katharine Armstrong: "A bird flushed. The vice president took aim at the bird and shot and unfortunately, Mr. Whittington was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty well."
Jon Stewart: "Peppered. There you have it. Harry Whittington, seasoned to within an inch of his life. Peppering is what you do when you season salad. You shot that dude. Whittington was taken to the hospital where he received a very special visitor.
(Aqui cuentan que Cheney fue a visitarle al hospital)
JON: How minimally thoughtful.
- Cheney: Hey dude!
- Whitinton: Cuac!
- Cheney: How are you?
- Whitinton: Cuac!
- Cheney: I pepperd you...
- Whitinton: Cuac!
Now this history certainly has its humorist aspects. You shouldn´t make fun, but some exceptions. This one is very easy. Unbelievable easy. The kind of easy that makes you to turn you check. But it also raises a serious issue. You see im not just jon stewart. Im also concerned about parents. Moms, dads, if you're watching right now, I can't emphasize this enough: Don't let your kids go hunting with the vice president. I don't care what kind of lucrative contracts they're trying to land, or energy regulations they're trying to get lifted. He'll shot them in the face. For more on the story, let's go out to correspondent Ed Helms, who is live in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ed?
ED:Jon, I'm here at the hospital where Austin lawyer and Republican fund-raiser Harry Whittington is in stable condition after being shot by Vice President Dick Cheney during a weekend quail-hunting expedition. Doctor says he is recovering quickly after being show in the face by Vice President. I'll be here all day with continuous coverage of how Vice President Dick Cheney shot a 78-year-old man in the face after he mistook him for a small bird.
JON: Ed, this ranch, what kind of facility is this?
ED: Its a private hunting ranch where the hunter drives up to the (....) birds, the hunter gets out of his car, aims his shotgun to slow moving birds, 3 feet away, and then the hunt is on.
Jon: Why would vice president choose a facility whith birds that had been raised on cautivity and then released to be kill?
ED: Well, as you know the vice president has a big offer of secret service, and a full hospital detail, including five paramedics, three cardiologist, two ...... the cast of ER and that metal egg (where) Darth Vader sleeps in. Its a groove that makes a lot of noise that can scare off your average quail. So the hunt () wingless quail with no wings, in order to level the plainfield.
JON: How did this accident happen?
ED: Im sure a sedentary indoorsmen liberal and (...) like yourself wouldn´t understand. But its actually very common. Here is how it happens.
ED: Im sorry, im being told Whittington condition has now been upgrded from stable to stable but still shot in the face by the Vice President. Its good news. For now im Ed Helms, reporting from outside () hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, where this weekend a 78 old year men was shot by the Vice President of the USA.
Y despues iria lo que puse al principio. Si alguien lo completa, pues mucho mejor. Y ya si lo traduce...Pero vamos, que mas alla de que haya pegado o no un tiro a un abogado, la gracia esta en el video.
