Error de grabación con K3b

Tengo instalado Ubuntu 7.10 en este equipo:

A pesar de haber instalado Linux hace dos meses, aún no había probado ningún programa de grabación. Por lo que leí K3B era bastante bueno, así que ayer me puse manos a la obra.

El resultado ha sido desperdiciar 4 DVDs Verbatim :-(

He probado también con el programa que viene por defecto con Ubuntu (Nautilus?) y con el Nero, y el resultado ha sido siempre el mismo:

EDIT:

He dado con la solucion, y fue más sencillo de lo que pensaba. Tenía la grabadora como Master Primario y el HDD como Master Secundario. Fue cambiar los conectores y listo!

Voy a pedir que cierren el hilo.

de todos modos, había leido sobre algun problema con k3b al grabar dvds verbatim... y decían que dejaba marcas de diferentes colores, y daba problemas con la velocidad de escritura (comprueba por si acaso)

pero se arregló al actualizar (yo te hablo de opensuse, pero el k3b es comun)

La verdad, espero que no.

Por una parte con MierdoWs no me sucedió jamás, incluso teniendo los cables IDE al revés (master-primario/master-secundario /grabadora-hdd).

Supongo que serán cosas de los [alien] de los ordenadores, como dijo un día Vincent Cerf en una conferencia en la UIB (hará 10 añitos). Tenía la curiosa (graciosa) teoría que en los ordenadores habitan fantasmas.

Ya me fui por los cerros de úbeda.
