Llega la pequeña actualizacion de la interfaz HDMI 2.1 con su primera iteracion 'a' que se presentara de manera oficial en la CES 2022

Y de esta manera hdmi 2.1a se enfoca en mejorar el tema de HDR, con lo que en esta version se mejora el tema del color y algo bastante importante, un sistema de autocalibracion del color para el entorno HDR. Esto mediante el sistema Source-Based Tone Mapping o SBTM por sus siglas en ingles, el cual ya formara parte de los metadatos HDR.

Entonces esten atentos a posibles actualizaciones del firmweare para aquellos aparatos que utilizen la interfaz HDMI 2.1a, lo cual incluye consoklas de juegos, tarjetas de video, televisores, proyectors, monitores y equipos AVR HT.

Bueno, al parecer dentro de poco tanto sony como microsoft sacaran actualizaciones del firmware de sus consolas para dar soporte a esta nueva mejora para HDMI 2.1 y tener un mejor HDR. Esten atentos.

A dia de hoy poca gente dispone de TV con HDMI 2.1, cierto, pero es como todo, tienen que dar soporte a la nueva tecnologia, que podrña ser aprovechada por los nuevos productos.

Hasta hace poco nadie tenia una TV 4K, y hoy en dia es el estandar de entrada a las TV modernas
HDMI 2.1 Features:
- 8K 60Hz and 4k 120hz with up to 10k resolutions. This will improve the details of the image and smooth the viewing experience
- Dynamic HDR support: This will enable the image to be displayed in the correct color depths, details and brightness that would be expected in a very high bandwidth, high resolution display. The heavy visual lifting would be done here.
- SBTM - Source Based Tony Mapping: Enables the HDR mapping to share some of the visual and graphic heavy lifting. Half the graphic power would be sourced from the source device - instead of the display device.
- Ultra High Speed Cables will support 48G bandwidth for uncompressed HDMI 2.1 support. The new cables will also feature lower latency and EMI emission (electromagnetic interference).
- eARC will provide a more dynamic and ease of use across all products. It will also support the most advanced formats and the highest quality audio signals.
- Enhanced gaming features: -Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) this will remove the stutter, frame lag, and visual tearing and make for an enhanced and smoother gameplay experience.
- Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) Chooses the ideal latency protocol automatically to keep the display smooth and uninterrupted.
- Quick Frame Transport (QFT) reduces latency for smoother no-lag gaming, and real-time interactive virtual reality. This is going to keep you from getting motion sick while
- Quick Media Switching (QMS) for movies and video eliminates the delay that often occurs when a device changes from one HDMI frame rate to another.
- HDMI Cable Power enables active HDMI Cables to be powered directly from the HDMI Connector, without attaching a separate power cable. This makes attaching and using active HDMI Cables as easy as using passive, wired HDMI Cables.
y encima el 2.1 a dia de hoy viendo que es un caos entre fabricantes o va como el culo de la cantidad ingente de problemas que tiene, como para sacar el 2.1a [hallow]

Las PS5 y series X tienen HDMI 2.1. Como receptores, todas las OLED de LG y unas cuantas marcas más. Es bastante más de un 1% (sobre todo contando lo que vende LG). Aparte de que para la gente que juega, si es interesante, principalmente porque si te pones en 4k, HDR, 120Hz, te limita el HDMI y tienes que empezar a jugar con el espectro de color.
Lo que va muy atrás el tema de las gráficas, que solo la última revisión incluye salidas 2.1, porque suelen tirar de DP.
El punto es que lo que no hay es demasiado contenido pensado para exprimir ese ancho de banda. En PS5 muy pocos juegos lo usan y en XBOX lo mismo, pero es algo eventual. Primero tienes que soportar la tecnología para luego tener contenido. Toda esta historia pasó con el 1080p y después con 4k.
Ciertamente es algo a tener en cuenta que los tiempos van cambiando...
Yo tengo una tv de 650 euros y ya tiene hdmi 2.1 dolbi vison hdr plus vrr allm etc etc yo creo que no somos 4 gatos con hdmi 2.1.....
El cambio va pasando
