VT Neo 2.1 Current Version "g" & "h"
With support for anti-mod chip and anti-stealth games.
To play a playstation 1 game, original or backup, anti-mod chip or anti-stealth.
Insert game in standby mode and game will start -- (Neo 2.0 will not work)
or hit reset button and game will start. -- (in some cases the Neo 2.0 will not work)
or insert CD, hit reset and game will start. -- (Neo 2.0 won't work with anti-mod chip)
If any problems are encountered booting originals then hold the reset button for more than 1 second to disable the VT Neo 2.1.
To play a playstation 2 original game.
Insert game in standby mode and game will start -- (mod chip goes in standby mode)
or hit reset button and game will start -- (mod chip goes in standby mode)
To play a playstation 2 backup game.
1) Boot Game Shark 2(any version) or Action Replay 2 Playstation 2 CD
2) Select "Start Game"
3) Select "Without Codes"
4) Eject AR2/GS2 CD and insert PS2 backup
5) Press "X" to start game
The VT Neo 2.1 will boot good PS2 copies 100% of the time, no timing, or other tricks
required.
When testing the Neo 2.0 we found that only 50% or less of the attempts would work.
We found that this is because the Neo 2.0 was not always coming out of standby mode.
Or there was timing issues where hitting the "X" button to early or late would be a major
factor.
To play PS2 EA Sports Games and others that won't boot(no patches required).
"EA Method":
1) Insert the AR2/GS2 CD for the playstation 2 and the AR2/GS2 cartridge.
2) Put PS2 in standby, by pressing the reset button until the power indicator turns red,
or turn on the main power switch located at the back of the PS2(red light comes on).
3) Press and hold the reset button down again until the AR2/GS2 menu boots up.
4) Now release the reset button(rev "g" will eject CD immediately, rev "h" works with
the AR2/GS2 version 1.4 and will take 3 seconds to slow CD down before ejecting)
5) Now quickly swap the AR2/GS2 CD with your backup(you have 3 seconds)
6) Select "Start Game"
7) Select "Without Codes"
8) Press "X" to start game(v1.3 and older), or press "O" + "R2" at the same time(v1.4)
To disable the VT Neo 2.1 chip
Push and hold the reset button for 1-2 seconds, chip with go into a wait state until
reset is pressed -- (works the same on Neo 2)
