An assortment of very interesting PSone Classics are on the way to the PlayStation Store, new ratings released today by the ESRB has revealed.
What games will we see? Only a large helping of Square Enix RPGs, Arc the Lad III, and a Ridge Racer title.
Check out the full list of rated games below. We’ll probably see these release over the next few weeks’ PlayStation Store updates. Stay tuned!

Square Enix has filed a relatively odd trademark in Europe recently for what sounds like a futuristic Final Fantasy spin-off. The trademark: Final Fantasy Type-0.
Accompanying the trademark is a logo (pictured above), illustrating Type-0 in Japanese kanji, then written again in English right below.
Square Enix is going to announce new titles next month — on January 18 — during their 1st Production press conference. Type-0 could be one of the announcements, especially with a logo registered; Square doesn’t always register logos with their trademarks.

As if anybody doubted it would happen. NIS America Marketing Coordinator, Ryan Phillips, has hinted at a forthcoming localization for Gust Corporation’s Atelier Totori: Alchemist of Arland 2.
Responding to a fan asking for an Atelier Totori announcement for Christmas, Phillips answered on the PlayStation.Blog: “Oh, we’ll see what we can conjure up here at NISA *wink* Get ready for some after-Xmas presents in 2011″.
Atelier Totori released in Japan this past June. The prequel, Atelier Rorona, released in Japan in June 2009, and in North America/Europe in September/October. Atelier Totori will probably follow the same path, considering NIS is already planning Hyperdimension Neptunia for early 2011, Ar Tonelico Qoga for shortly after, and Disgaea 4 for the summer.
You’ve got to love NIS America. Always localizing games. If only Namco Bandai were as willing.
It 'appeared a new website at bungieaerospace.org seems to have been opened by Bungie.
Unfortunately the only information published is only the word "Transmitting ..." (in transmission) as the title of the page, the word Truth (truth) written with the number 7 inside it, and a countdown showing the last 3 as the date January 2010.
Within the code of the website is also a hidden comment:

It will be the first multiplatform title of the software company that created the Halo series? Or the first video game system for IOS which is rumored on the net?
The only way to find out is to wait until that date.

According to several retailers (including Amazon and Gamefly), the upcoming Splinter Cell Trilogy release for the Playstation 3 will be named “Splinter Cell Compilation.” Amazon also revealed that the upcoming collection will retail for $39.99, which is the same price tag at launch for The Sly Collection and God of War Collection.
Splinter Cell Compilation contains high-definition remakes of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. It will be released exclusively for the Playstation 3 on March 22nd.

The latest ESRB listing update includes a new batch of PSOne Classics that will be coming soon to the Playstation 3 and PSP via the Playstation Store: Destrega, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature and Saiyuki: Journey West.
Destrega is a fighting game that was first released for the original Playstation in 1998. It has been re-rated by the ESRB and got tagged with a T (for Teen) rating for mild language and violence.
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature was released back in 2000. The ESRB gave the farming simulator an E (for Everyone) rating due to use of alcohol and tobacco.
Last but not least, Saiyuki: Journey West is a game based on the classic Chinese novel, Journey to the West. The strategy role-playing title received an E (for Everyone) rating for mild violence.

Update 6:56pm: Looks like the issue will reveal a new Bethesda sequel, as well. The magazine’s Andrew Reiner tweets: “Take your best guess as to what Bethesda has been working on. I’m curious what you expect,” followed by: “In addition to Skyrim, this issue holds an unannounced sequel. Guess away!”
WET 2, maybe? It was already confirmed to be in development at Behaviour back in November. We’ll just have to wait and see.

THQ Inc. will open the vast toy chest of Mattel, Inc., to develop and publish videogames under a new, multi-year alliance that both companies announced today. Extending deep into Mattel’s broad portfolio of popular brands, the agreement with Mattel builds on THQ’s strength in kids and family games.
Partnering with Mattel, the global leader with the most recognized brands in the toy industry, THQ plans to produce and distribute videogames based on Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price. The companies will also collaborate to expand the videogame and interactive potential of newer properties such as Monster High and long-time Mattel favourites such as Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em, Masters of the Universe, Polly Pocket and others.
The multi-platform deal will focus on THQ designing, developing and marketing games for consoles and handheld systems; personal computers; mobile devices and social networks; and popular online gaming portals such as Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and Nintendo WiiWare Network.
THQ also plans to bring Mattel’s brands to its popular uDraw GameTablet, an innovative new accessory launched just prior to the holidays that quickly became one of the season’s most sought-after gifts in Electronic Theatre ImageNorth America. Pictionary, one of the first titles for the uDraw GameTablet, and based on the popular Mattel game, showcases the technological and creative potential of the new relationship – and the opportunities to combine world-renowned brands with new concepts in digital entertainment.
“We are excited to work hand-in-hand with the world’s No. 1 toy company to bring a new level of entertainment to its already incredibly popular brands,” said Martin Good, THQ’s Executive Vice President of Kids, Family and Casual Games. “As we have shown with the combination of uDraw and Pictionary, there is enormous potential for the strategic relationship between THQ and Mattel. Through videogames, we can build on some of the most famous and classic toy properties in the world, as well as unlock the entertainment potential of the newest creations from Mattel.”

With Ubisoft confirming a new “another big Assassin’s Creed” for 2011, an official reveal ought to come soon, right? If we’re guessing correct on Edge Magazine’s tease for their next issue, the new entry might be revealed on January 18.
The image above, captured by our friends at Connected Consoles, appears at the end of the latest issue. The logo on the left is that of Abstergo Industries, the Templar company that appears in-game. The logo on the right is that of the refurbished Animus, the machine Desmond uses to live out his ancestor’s memories.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood has been out so it this tease shouldn’t be related. Will Assassin’s Creed III soon be in our grasp? Stay tuned.
