Asus piensa saltar de lleno al segmento con un nuevo reproductor HD de salón, que con el nombre de O!Play ofrecerá lo mismo que sus rivales y mucho más a un precio muy, muy asequible.
En un principio sus características no parecen nada que no hayamos visto antes (HDMI, salida óptica, compatibilidad con Xvid, MKV, Ogg, subs en múltiples formatos etc.), pero cuando empiezas a leer la letra pequeña, llegan las sorpresas: un puerto eSATA , Ethernet y con DTS
El hecho de que encima monta un nuevo procesador Realtek, considerablemente más potente que el habitual Sigma sólo nos da esperanzas, y encima, dicen que los usuarios que lo han probado, tanto el post-procesamiento como la velocidad de respuesta están por encima de lo visto en el segmento.
