A method to boot EA Method games using an ACTION REPLAY 1.4 & Version 4 PS2 without having to patch has been discovered by a chap called TEKKEN. Here's how to do it:
1) Boot AR2 v1.4 while holding reset (as standard EA Method)
2) Choose Start Game - Without Codes - Let go of reset
3) The disc will now eject (its still spinning) and the Press X to continue screen appears
4) DO NOT PRESS X - Swap with your Backup
5) Press O + R1 + R2
6) The EA Method Unpatched Game will now load
Of course this isn't needed if you use the XtremeFM hardware instead of the AR2 v1.4 but its excellent for US v4 owners as the XtremeFM is not out their yet (as all Interact products are designed & manufactured by Datel in the UK)
