Despues de que ayer me llegara una V9 de Enero petada y con MXL2 (ya llevo 3 de 4, un 75%) pido explicaciones al proveedor y me contesta:
Creo que el problema es esto (no pasa con los DMS porque tienen
regulador); Puedes probarlo?:
I received from ******* your e-Mail about the various problems you faced:
>When PS2 game runs, the PlayStation2 logo is scratchy and game doesn't boot anymore !!!
This is a power supply problem. The new V9 and V10 do not have a standard stable 3.3V on the point that is indicated in our official diagrams.
As a matter of facts some V9/V10 have a very unstable power supply. We are trying to identify some stable 3.3V point, but we still need to work on this problem.
This problem already happened to other customers and thay normally solve it in one of the following two ways:
1) Change Power supply and GND cables (and if possible reduce their lenght).
2) Change the Power supply point and take it from the PS14 fuse (see this picture):

>When I have received them, I noticed that pins of the chips were colored gold and no grey like the others from you...
All the MXL2 that we shipped since the start are have Golded Pads.
It happened only once that we shipped to ******* about 3000 pieces of MXL2 with Grey Pads becouse of a factory mistake.
I can assure you that the Gold Pad are our standard production.
Here is a high resolution picture of one of the last MXL2 produced, so you can compare it with the one you have:

If you still have doubts you can send me a picture of the MXL2 you have, and I will be able to identify the production date and number of batch of the MXL2 you have.
If you have any additional problem or need additional informations feel free to contact me again at any time.
Best Regards,
The Matrix Team
