Duda letras No Intro

A la hora de identificar las roms aquellas que se marcan como Rev. suelen tener una identificación numérica o con letras del alfabeto. La duda me surge a la hora de identificar la más reciente.

Algunos juegos se identifican como:

Rev0A
RevA

¿Cúal prevalece?

¿Qué criterios se siguen para identificar a unas como Rev1, rev2... y a otras como RevA, revB...?

Por último, en el caso de FDS veo juegos con una colegiala DV y un número,¿qué significa?

Por lo que tengo entendido REV1 es una versión a posteriori de la original, a la cual le han corregido algún fallo o censurado algo.

Lo más normal en esas roms es encontrarse con cosas eliminadas o censuradas que arreglos en si.

Pero claro, ante REV 1,2,3 ó REV A,B,C no hay duda pero las rev 0A me dejan a cuadros.

REV 0 es la rom inicial, todo numero más allá son las siguientes versiones de esa misma rom.

La nomenclatura A ni idea, quizá diferentes versiones de esa misma rom en el mismo continente, pero con diferentes idiomas o algo del estilo.
