Full support of IMAP protocol
IMAP (Internet Messages Access Protocol) is a method for accessing your e-mail messages directly on the mail server. It allows a client email program to access the remote message store as if it was local. By using IMAP you can manipulate your messages from a desktop computer at home, a workstation at the office, and a notebook computer while traveling, without the need to transfer messages or files back and forth between these computers.
The new version of The Bat! introduces full support of IMAP. Now you can use the full power of e-mail processing on an IMAP server the same way as you do for your POP3 account.
Improved PGP support.
Version 2 introduces enhanced PGP/MIME support, so now it is possible to send PGP signed/encrypted files without hassle. Also, built-in support for PGP v6-8 is included. The interface for handling signed/encrypted messages is universal – no matter which system (PGP or S/MIME) is used, you can verify or decrypt messages just by pressing one button.
Basic HTML editor
In version 2 you can write your messages in HTML format, plain text or combined.
By using the new simple HTML editor you can apply text format operations such as different fonts, background/foreground colours, text alignment and inserting images into the body of messages.
Scheduler
Now you can arrange your appointments in a scheduler where it is possible to automatically execute actions such as running programs, creating/sending mails, opening different types of documents, all with any degree of recurrence and more…
Anti-SPAM plug-in learning engine
Version 2 introduces a tool for efficient protection against SPAM. You can add and use SPAM filters that are automatically loaded when necessary and likewise unloaded when they are not in use. Thus gives you flexibility to try different Anti-SPAM systems and decide which one (or combination of them) is most suitable for you.
Improvements in Folder commands, Preview pane, Spell checking, Macros, Connection Centre and others.
Check out the many improvements and new options. Now you can set up advanced deletion for each folder, use new macros, new options in spell checking and many others. The behaviour of many features is now better and recent bugs and problems introduced in version 1.x have been fixed in version 2
