Buenas tengo que problema bastante molesto que me viene sucediento con varias distribuciones asi a bote pronto(mandriva,ubuntu,debian) y es el tema la resolucion de la pantalla, y esque aunque despues de instalar los drivers privativos y tenerlo todo mas o menos configurado en determidas ocasiones como cuando se apaga el ordenador mal(no se porque pasa cuando pasa eso pero bueno xD), al cargar el entorno grafico (ya sea gnome o KDE) me sale en el monitor "modo no optimo resolucion recomendada 1280x1024" que curiosamente es la que tengo seleccionada en debian desde sistema->preferencias->resolucion de pantalla.
e leido algo de añadir al xorg.conf en la seccion screen algo como
Subsection "Display"

pero no me queda nada claro haber si alguien me lo puede aclarar
Decir que tengo a ati 9550 con los drivers privativos instalados y aqui dejo mi xorg.conf
