Buenas, hace unas pocas semanas me decidí a instalar Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy y me quedé flipando al ver un vídeo de beryl en acción. Rápidamente busqué tutoriales por internet para instalarlo.

He instalado el driver de nvidia glx y me dice que SÍ tengo Direct Rendering. Al ejecutar glxgears sin beryl corriendo las ruedecitas no podrían ir mejor. El problema viene al abrir beryl. Todo va aparentemente fluido, el cubo gira sin ralentización alguna, las ventanas, etc. El problema viene después: Al clicar por ejemplo en las pestañas de firefox, desde que clico hasta que se pone, hay un retraso notable, al mover el scroll lo mismo ( todo esto con beryl corriendo, sin beryl va perfecto), al ejecutar glxgears cual es mi sorpresa al ver que las ruedecitas van lentísimas :/

He probado bajando casi todo al mínimo en la configuración de beryl, desactivando Vblank, pero nada, el resultado es el mismo. Me extraña porque me dijeron que beryl consume poco :/.
Mi pc es :
Intel Pentium 4 a 2,66ghz
Nvidia Geforce 4200 Ti con 128 mb de video
768 mb ddr
Y tengo 2 particiones, una para ubuntu y otra para windows.
Uso Gnome.
