Hitachi planea fabricar muebles con conexión a internet.

"At the core of the furniture is technology that includes a PC board for information processing; a projector unit for displaying images; and one or more input devices that may include an infrared camera with image recognition software, radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag readers, microphones, or sensors.

The components are easy to assemble and can be adapted to each user's needs or the design dimensions of the piece of furniture.

When embedded into a mirror, the module allows users to not only check their hair, but get fashion tips, scan news headlines, the weather forecast, or sift through email.

Hitachi has already started limited distribution of the mirror module, which since last fall began selling as the product Miragraphy."
