Problema cargando las X

Wenass, vereis estaba en linux trankilamente cuando voy a reiniciar y al cargar de nuevo linux, se keda la pantalla de nvidia, parpadea, vuelve a la ventana de carga de linux, vuelve la pantalla de nvidia, parpadea y me sale la consola. Extrañado escribo startx y aun así no va, y el XF86config-4 parece estar perfecto.


¿Qué puedo hacer?

Cuando ejecutas el startx casi seguro que al final te salga un error. ¿Puedes ponernos cual es?
Lo curioso es q no sale la palabra error, ahora mismo no recuerdo muy bien el mensaje pero era algo parecido a wait .... shutdown de x server o algo asi (luego lo miro pero era algo parecido).

en el sitio donde hayas inicializado el startx ;)
El log siempre está en /var/log/XFree.$DISPLAY.log

Normalmente $DISPLAY vale 0

Pues no parece que haya ningún error como tu dices.

Yo para mi que es problema de los drivers de Nvidia. Edita el XF86Config y cambia "nvidia" por "nv" y si funciona es que es eso. Reinstalas los drivers de Nvidia, y seguramente ya funcione bien.
NAda, cambie nvidia por nv y nada, reinstalé los drivers y tampoco... nose que pudo pasar, así de repente, al reiniciar :?

¿Mas posibles soluciones XD?
