Ayudaaaaaaaaaa!

Acabo de instalarme la debian, y parece que me tira guay pero lo ke pasa es ke cuando ejecuto las x me da un error porque no soporta mi grafica , tengo una Gforce ti 4200, he leido por el foro que tengo que bajrme los drivers de su pg oficial y compilarlos pero no tengo ni idea de hacerlo desde consola, alguien me puede echar una mano?

Prueba primero a poner el driver vesa y a 16 bits, a ver si así te funciona.

STEP 2: Download the Driver File
Download - NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run

STEP 3: Install
Type "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run" to install the driver, then edit your X86Config file as appropriate. See the text README for more detailed instructions.

Antes de que se me olvide:

Especifica un poco el problema en el título del post, que "ayudaaaaaaaaaaaa" no nos dice mucho, seguro que entra mas gente y todo si es algo como "ayuda para arrancar las X o algo asi" :Ð

Vale, el problema. Pues todas las GeForce estan bien soportdas. No hace falta que te bajes el driver oficial, las X tienen un driver generico "nv" que las hace funcionar, aunque sin aceleración 3D. Debian debe tener una utilidad para configurar las X.

De todas formas, lo mas fácil es lo que te ha dicho eVan_01, te bajas el driver de la página de nvidia, y lo ejecutas como pone en las instrucciones. Si es que hay que leer más... :-P
