To refresh your memories; the QA flag is the internal console flag used by Sony, it enables hidden options and removes restrictions for both retail and debug consoles alike. It is used for QA centers and the R&D Department (there are 2 levels of QA flags, Minimum and Advanced). In short it could lead to a complete open PS3…and yes all the CFW, homebrew and backup manager your little heart desires.

Bueno el metodo para como hacer el ''QA flag'' en tu PS3 nunca habia sido posteado/revelado pero desde entonces se habian planteado ciertas maneras de hacerlos por la ''scene', y uno de los primeros pasos era encontrar la combinacion secreta de botones. Durante semanas la gente trato de encontrarlas, el hombre detras de los emuladores - squarepusher 2 a revelado/posteado informacion de como es exactamente esa combinacion de botones.
Novatos no intenten esto - La guia siguiente, a un se sigue trabajando en ella.
How to QA Flag your PS3, the button combo:
Be on 3.55 OFW (no rebug),.
Move the PS3 cursor/select “Network Setting“
Punch the following button combo with your PS3 controller: L2 + L1 + R1 + R2 + L3 + D-pad Down
Thats it, the “Edy Viewer”, “Debug Settings”, “Install Package” Menu will now appear.
Notes and disclaimers:
Install Package is useless and can’t install homebrew at the moment – only signed PKGs (and the first one in root of USB only).
This is not all that is needed to QA flag your PS3, but its a big start for the community – we still need all the pieces to fully QA flag the PS3 and its the scenes job to “figure out the rest”.
Como hacer el QA a tu ps3, la combinación de botones:
1.- Estar en OFW 3.55 (No rebug)
2.- Ir en tu ps3 y selccionar ''Network settings''
3.- Precionar los siguientes botones con el control de tu ps3: L2 + L1 + R1 + R2 + L3 + D-pad hacia abajo
4.- Eso es todo “Edy Viewer”, “Debug Settings”, “Install Package” apareceran en el menu.
Notas y avisos:
Install package es inservible y no puede instalar homebrew de momento. Solo PKG firmados.
Actualizacion 1
Gracias a Slynk que a posteado un tutorial para habilitar el QA mediante linux:
En PS3
1) Instalar OtherOS ++ instalar linux, recuerda habilitar los modulos de ps3 cuando compiles el kernel.
2) Descargar y compilar ps3dm utils
En PC
3) Descargar el ''tokenator''
En PS3
4) Dumpear el eid al ejecutar ./ps3dm_iim /dev/ps3dmproxy get_data 0×0>dump
5) Establecer el flag ejecutando ./ps3dm_um /dev/ps3dmproxy write_eprom 0x48C0A 0x00
En PC
6) Habre el dump en un editor hexadecimal y escribe los primeros 16 byts en el tokenator
7) Ejecuta el scrip
8) Reinicia la PS3, ve a network settings y preciona L1 + L2 + L3 + R1 + R2 + D-Pad abajo

Actualizacion 2
Se ha liberado un .pkg denominado QA flagging tools
Testeado ( Segun la fuente ) en 3.55 y 3.41
1.- Instalar y correr el paquete qa_flag.pkg, si escuchas un beep, a funcionado.
2.- Ve a network settings ( No entres ) y preciona la combinacion L1+L2+L3+R1+R2+ d-pad hacia abajo.
3.- Listo QA flagging funcionando.
Tambien se ha liberado un CFW con OtherOS habilitado y se ha confirmado que funciona el QA flag
Actualizacion 3
Remover QA flag de la PS3
1.- Descargar el pkg reset_qa_flag.pkg
2.- Ejecutar el pkg en la ps3
3.- Reiniciar la ps3
4.- Se han reestablecido los ajustes predeterminados del QA flag ( off ). La ps3 esta normal de nuevo.
