Hay que tener varios millones en el bolsillo y rodearte de gente con poder... y así te aseguras de que no te pasa nada por quebrantar la ley, mates o lo que se te ocurra.

Libertad provisional, una propinica para la víctima de 150.000 euros (lo que para ti y para mí podrían ser 3000 euros, pero para él no es nada) y a vivir.
curiosamente, con este no han ocultado la palabra magica. este no ha muerto de una larga enfermedad ni ningun eufemismo por el estilo.

Y jugar la carta del racismo por parte de la defensa, que les salió redondo. En el juicio alegaron que uno de los policías era racista y que a lo mejor éste había contaminado las pruebas. Y ante la duda del jurado, pues a favor del reo. Sumado al "dream team" de abogados y a la lamentable actuación de la fiscal, que no lo pudo hacer peor.

Pero es que mediáticamente, lograron convertir a OJ Simpson en un activista por la causa negra, algo que él hasta entonces había despreciado. Y todo esto antes de lo woke, de aquellos polvos estos lodos.

Suerte que al menos pudieron pillarle por lo civil, y luego también se comió cárcel por un altercado en un hotel. OJ Simpson era un talento en el campo de fútbol, pero como persona era un sujeto despreciable. Para quien quiera enterarse bien de todo el asunto, recomiendo el excelente documental OJ Made in America. Está en español en Disney+:



Y como ficción, la temporada 1 de American Crime Story se recrea muy bien todo el juicio y la problemática racial:



Como curiosidad, uno de los abogados de OJ era su amigo Robert Kardashian, el padre de las famosas Kardashian. Y éste a poco de acabar el juicio ya se dio cuenta que había defendido a un culpable.

Se ha pasado dos años en la carcel para empezar; segundo si te lees la resolución judicial parece ajustada a nuestro actual derecho; y tercero la audiencia ha desestimado que vuelva a prisión.

Esque no se qué esperais algunos, con lo que había parece una pena justa si te lees la resolución.

Y quede claro que no seré yo quien defienda a este señor ,pero todo hay que decirlo. Ahora la víctima está en su derecho de recurrir dicha resolución y es algo muy respetable.

Famoso, tenía dinero para pagar buenos abogados y la amenaza de nuevos disturbios y saqueos en las calles hizo el resto. Sí, sus abogados y su entorno metieron la carta del racismo de por medio para "incendiar" a la opinión pública.

No fue un asesinato cualquiera, fueron dos personas apuñaladas con ensañamiento y degolladas con sus hijos pequeños durmiendo en casa.

Fue un hombre que posteriormente fue detenido por robo a mano armada. Al final, se comió menos de diez años en prisión.

I've been waiting 29 years to tell this story about OJ and his days at USC. Now that he's dead (may he burn in hell) I have a story that I signed an NDA for that is no longer valid. I was a junior at USC working in Topping Student Center on campus in 1995. I was an administrative assistant to the President of Student Affairs that semester in the work/study program.

In early 1995, Robert Shapiro and Robert Kardashian (USC Alumni) walked up to my desk and said they had an appt with my boss. I was studying to be a criminal defense lawyer with a dual major in PoliSci and International Relations so I knew who they were. The meeting lasted about 30 mins.

After they left I looked at my boss like wtf was that all about!? He walked me outside and we sat by the old sprawling big tree outside Topping and my boss lit a cigarette for the first time in years and told me I had to sign an NDA because I could confirm OJ's lawyers were there for a meeting. Then he told me what the meeting was about.

Before OJ could graduate from USC, the university paid off two families of two blonde white girls that he had dated and battered. They had both gone to the LAPD to report it. One claimed he also sexually assaulted her in their relationship. The school had a vested interest in OJ going far in football and protected him at all costs. OJ had been in custody for 6 months and lawyers were in the discovery process for the trial and OJ's friend Robert Kardashian, who knew OJ from also being a student at USC, thought it would be best if those stories never saw the light of day. So a large check was written, given to my boss, and they left. I'll never forget holding that check.

Now, did you hear about this before now? Nope. That's how much power money enables.

After he was acquitted I changed my major to Philosophy/Psychology double major. I understood that I could harm society more than not if I pursued law. This is also why I abhor the Kardashians. They're rich thugs. Nothing more. #OJISDEAD

La verdad es que si el culpable no va preso, es responsabilidad de los que llevaron el caso y la acusación, no de la defensa. Si se libró por pasta, no miraría tanto a los abogados, como lo que pudiera haber ido a los fiscales o policías.
