Acabo de probar y el script también funciona en Chrome. Hay que usar la versión beta o mayor, activar los userscripts, y copiarlo a C:\Documents and Settings\[usuario]\Configuración local\Datos de programa\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\User Scripts.

Pregunta un poco tonta: cargar el reproductor supone mucho consumo de ancho de banda? Lo digo porque cuando use un modem USB de estos que van por GPRS (no sé, que torpe, pero esos con tarjeta de móvil, vamos) igual me interesa ahorrar todos los kbs que pueda y para saber si debo activar y desactivar el script según como me conecte o si no es algo apreciable.

Pues "se supone" que al principio solo carga el script del reproductor (varios kbs), y mientras que no le des al play no gasta mas.

Creo que gasta mas CPU en mostrar el cuadro y la imagen (imagen inicial, alomejor otros cuantos kbs mas).

Me he animado a  ponérselo al Chrome y no veo que funcione...

No es así? Lo de extensions se lo puse por el adsweep.

La nueva versión del Greasemonkey...la lia xD a mi por lo menos, ahora si hay 2videos en el mismo post o incluso en otro post, me aparece el mismo video (el que sea el 1º) y por más que instalo y reinstalo nada, aparte el script para excluir firmas tampoco me va....ahora no lo voy a intentar más porque estoy espeso y mañana miraré que pasa,pero si a alguien más le ha pasado y lo ha solucionado.... Salu2 !!

EDIT: Al final he trasteado un poco...y ya está solucionado,lo dejo por si a alguien más le pasa.Es algo muy sencillo pero si no das con ello...xD. Pues la nueva versión te descarga una lista en la que se incluyen todas las páginas excluidas por defecto,pues vas a herramientas > opciones > complementos > opciones(del greasemonkey) y pinchas en la web que no quieras excluir y le das a añadir,pues eso, muy sencillo pero raro que pase xD.Salu2 !!

Una cuestión estética, por si alguien puede responderme:
- es posible que el video substituya al link? Es decir: ver el video con su botón de esconder video y que al pinchar en el botón de esconder, aparezca el link. Supongo o no se puede o es muy difícil pero bueno, insisto en que es una pura cuestión estética.

a mi de repente me ha dejado de funcionar, no se por que :S

I have a suggestion for your script. I thinks that would be better a option for show a small icon beside of the link, and show the video when the icon is clicked and hide the video after. (Default hided, because sometimes it use many space in the browser window, when many links are together). Instead of the big bar used now.

sí, está bien tu corrección, pero juraría que para enfatizar se usa el "does" delante. No sé si está mal estrictamente, o se usa a nivel informal

I've released this week and PHP5 class that will help developers to easily embed videos. Now the list of supported sites has reached the number of 155

@NeDark - thanks for the suggestion, I think I will put a flag in the script that will do this for the moment, I have some ideas to create a page from where every user can generate his EmbeVi script based on his preferences (but this will come in the future).

@SwapNewbie - do you have still problems with the script?

In the last release from 11 Oct 2009 I've tested everything and it worked fine for all supported browsers and sites.
