Por un lado encarnaremos a Mors Westford, un hermano juramentado de la Guardia de la Noche, perspectiva desde la cual seremos testigos de todo lo que acontece en esta espartana institución sin escatimar en escenas violentas de corte realista.

El segundo personaje será Alester Sarwyck, un tipo que volverá a Poniente para asistir al funeral de su padre tras pasar 15 años en el exilio. Esto de por sí no está mal, pero seguro que mejora cuando sepáis que en su exilio el bueno de Alester ha renegado de Los Siete para abrazar la fe de R´hllor, convirtiéndose así en un sacerdote rojo...

con lo que podemos suponer que este señor tendrá una estrecha relación con los cadáveres.

Al parecer las mecánicas jugables de uno y otro personaje variarán bastante, pero según sus creadores ambos tendrán en común elementos similares a los vistos "The Witcher" o en grandes títulos roleros de Bioware como “Baldur’s Gate II” o “Caballeros de la Antigua República”. También han dejado caer que el aspecto físico del personaje será completamente configurable al empezar la partida.

In this role-playing game, based on the Game of Thrones franchise, players assume the role of two separate characters whose paths eventually converge in a medieval fantasy world. Players use swords, axes, crossbows, and special attacks (e.g., flaming weapons) to kill barbarian creatures (i.e., “wildlings”) and human enemies in melee-style combat. Battles are highlighted by sword-slashing sounds and screams of pain; large blood-splatter effects occur when enemies are injured. Some finishing moves depict close-range stabbings and executions. Cutscenes also depict intense acts of violence: characters getting decapitated, slit in the throat, or struck in the face with an axe. In one protracted sequence, players' character gets beaten/burned repeatedly during an interrogation. During the course of the game, the dialogue references sexual material (e.g., “. . . your wife whores around just for fun,” “The girl is saying that you raped her,” “[Y]ou naughty little slut!”). Players can also enter brothels that depict women in revealing outfits; in one scene, a man caresses a woman's chest as she sits on his lap (no nudity is depicted). The words “f**k,” “sh*t,” and “c*nt” can be heard in dialogue.
