Buenas!. Pues he usado la búsqueda avanzada y no he encontrado nada parecido, así que me he decidido a crearlo.

He creado el hilo, para que entre todos nosotros, nos podamos resolver las dudas que tengamos sobre el inglés mutuamente, y dejar de lado el "oh gran traductor Googleiano".

Además, como el año que viene me voy de Erasmus, pues así practico un poco, que tengo mi inglés bastante oxidado.

La primera duda, que cojones significa "Bicycle pump"??

EDIT: Lo he encontrado... es una bomba para hinchar la bicicleta (no me lo imaginaba por su contexto...!!)

Yo eso lo sabía porque tengo un colchón inflable (inflatable bed o airbed XD) y venía con el pump ese y yo no me enteraba...

Que cabron!!. Yo tengo el first (sacado con 17 añitos) y ya ni siquiera ese nivel, pues he perdido bastante. A ver si a la vuelta de holanda (aparte de probar a las holandesitas), me hago el advance... pero dudo que llegue al proficiency.

Tienes familia inglesa o algo así o a puro huevo?

Nada, lo que pasa es que empecé a ir a la academia con 6 añicos y siempre he tenido profesores nativos. En realidad el CPE no lo tengo porque el año pasado no me pude presentar, pero hice el mock y saqué un 70 y pico :P A ver si este año lo hago igual de bien y me lo quito de enmedio.
Bueno, pues ya que estáis, a ver si me decís qué significa la expresión circles in the sand, que últimamente se me aparece en todas partes.

Nunca la he leido/escuchado, pero buscando en Google, parece que es como una variante de 'to draw a line', cuando tienes que ponerle un limite a alguien, para que no cruce la linea.

Faltas "graves" serian el uso de "warn" y "advise" que los has intentando colar como "avisar", y posiblmente la hora, te podrian no entender, de resto solo algunas pequenhas cosas sin importancia realmente.
