Ghost of Tsushima

Otra obra maestra para la consola de Sony.

Y no se cansan, una detrás de otra y otra y otra más.

Juego sobresaliente en todos y cada uno de sus apartados.

Después de 60 horas y haberlo completado al 100%, con su correspondiente platino, diría que es uno de los mejores juegos del catálogo de Sony y de toda la generación.

Gráficamente portentoso, artísticamente sublime. Una banda sonora impresionante. Combates como no he visto en ningún otro juego quitando el Nioh. Misiones variadas y bastante trabajadas. Doblado magníficamente al castellano. Es que así da gusto, joder! Un juego cuidado y mimado hasta el más mínimo detalle. Solo tiene un par de "peros" pero son insignificantes y son bastante subjetivos.

Resumiendolo mucho, diría que es una mezcla de los últimos Assassin's Creed, pero mejor incluso gráficamente. Quizás no tan, tan extenso como éstos pero con unos combates infinitamente mejores (diría que como los de Nioh pero quitando que aquí solo se usa la katana y en Nioh pues hay muchas más armas) y unas misiones que si bien no son tanta cantidad (incluso llega a agradecerse) todas están relativamente trabajadas y no da la sensación de estar de relleno como sí ocurre en la saga de Ubisoft.

Lo de los combates es para que lo copie todo juego triple A que salga de ahora en adelante. Esas batallas épicas como la toma del castillo de Shimura, sin ir más lejos, es indescriptible. Disfrutas de los combates, no solo están como transición como puede pasar en AC, que si te descuidas son casi de machabotones. No me extraña que sacaran el modo leyendas para combates nada más porque es lo más divertido del juego. Además de la exploración y la propia historia.

Lo dicho, más juegos como éstos, por favor.

Después de 14 años y muchos intentos (entre otros la perdida del juego en inglaterra...) por fin he conseguido pasarme el juego, basicamente lo tenía pasado hace eones, pero sin ganar el jefe final no es pasarselo... a si que... despues de mucho farmeo se ha conseguido!!

es un gran juego y una buena adaptación lo recomiendo sin duda :)

Titan Souls
El Shadow of The Colosus versión pixel-art. Desde luego no es un juego para jugadores casuales, está enfocado puramente a la comunidad hardcore, dado que morirás infinidad de veces en el juego. Yo me lo he pasado con 254 muertes, aunque he de decir que en el último titán he muerto infinidad de veces (seguramente más de 60). El nivel del último enemigo considero que es totalmente injusto e impredecible. A diferencia de los titanes previos donde entiendes sus patrones de ataques, el enemigo final es totalmente random. Sabes que debes hacer para matarlo, pero ejecutarlo se vuelve algo totalmente de ensayo y error. Es un juego que puede llegar a frustrar mucho y tener paciencia y constancia es fundamental si os lo queréis pasar. Pese a mi enfado con el último enemigo, el juego lo he disfrutado. Indicado a aquellos que les gusten los retos con ese regustillo de final bosses de la época de 16 bits.

Sonic 2
Aprovechando un viaje en tren me apetecía un juego rápido y quise rememorar mis viejos tiempos con la primera consola que me regalaron (Mega Drive). Lo jugué emulado en PS Vita y al igual que hace más de dos décadas, lo he disfrutado de principio a fin. Niveles variados (ayuda también que sólo haya 2 niveles en cada mundo a diferencia de 3 como en el Sonic original), música pegadiza (¿como olvidar la adictiva canción de Chemical Plant Zone?) e infinidad de caminos diferentes para llegar al final de cada nivel. Un clásico que nunca pasa de moda.

Life is Strange: True Colors
Ha sido mi primer Life is Strange, dado que al no tener continuidad con sus predecesores no importaba empezar por éste. Ya sabía a lo que me exponía, una "película interactiva" con un gran peso en la historia. Viniendo de jugar a todo el catálogo de juegos de Supermassive (Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology) y Quantic Dream (Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain y Beyond Two Souls) el ritmo de True Colors es mucho más pausado y tranquilo; no hay prisa con las elecciones que tomamos y creo que a diferencia de los juegos anteriormente mencionados, nuestras decisiones no tienen tanto impacto en la historia. Aun así y pese a que la historia para mi gusto tarda un poco en arrancar, lo he disfrutado y me ha mantenido interesado en como se desenvolvía todo. El último capítulo ha sido sin duda el mejor, con un ritmo mucho más trepidante y giros inesperados. Hubiera agradecido quizá este tipo de emoción en los capítulos previos, donde el ritmo es excesivamente pausado, aunque esto obviamente va a gustos y otra gente agradecerá este ritmo lento. Yo al estar acostumbrado a juegos más trepidantes pues normal que el juego me haya parecido edulcorado, pero no por ello me ha parecido mal juego. Las actuaciones de los entrañables personajes con los que nos topamos muy conseguidas y el mundo está detallado metiéndonos más aun en el papel de nuestra protagonista. Ahora tendré que hincarle el diente al primer juego, que según tengo entendido es el mejor de todos, así que esta toma de contacto con True Colors ha despertado en mi el interés por la saga.

¡Recién completado también Metroid Dread en 9:40h y un 45% del mapa! Lo mejor sin duda es el control, manejar a Samus jamás se había sentido tan hábil y fluída, es una auténtica delicia pasearse por el mapa a medida que vas adquiriendo más habilidades. Su control es increíblemente preciso, algo que ayuda mucho en los boss fights, algunos de los cuales me han hecho sudar de lo lindo (especialmente el enemigo final). Inicialmente cuando llevaba pocas horas de juego sentía que el juego me guiaba continuamente hacia donde ir, algo que los jugadores casuales seguramente agradecerán (a no todo el mundo le gusta la sensación de estar perdido y dar vueltas durante minutos en el mapa en busca del camino a seguir). En parte esto se debe a un diseño de 10 de los niveles, Mercury Steam ha logrado que un mapa tan enrevesado de manera sutil logre llevarte en todo momento hacia tu objetivo. Esto tiene una contrapartida, y es que se pierde parte de la esencia de Metroid - perderse y la exploración. Es cierto que en ocasiones te puedes perder (seguramente por salir de la ruta explorando en busca de secretos), pero la mayor parte del tiempo el juego te guía hacia donde ir. Tampoco puedo criticarle a Mercury Steam que no me haya complacido la sensación "metroidvania", porque realmente han sabido aprovechar el diseño del mapa de manera magistral. Tiene mérito lo que han logrado; que un juego laberíntico realmente se sienta como "pasillero". Han sabido adaptar una IP clásica a los nuevos tiempos, complaciendo así a seguidores míticos de la saga como a nuevos jugadores. En general lo he disfrutado muchísimo. Lo único que le puedo achacar es que en ningún momento he sentido que fuera yo quien hubiera descubierto el camino a seguir, dado que el juego más o menos me obligaba continuamente por donde debía ir con un diseño inteligente del escenario; restringiéndome a acceder a algunas zonas o dejándome migas de pan en forma de objetos para que fuera en la dirección correcta. Igualmente un juego magistral, pulido y cuidado, siendo fiel a lo que hace tan especial a cualquier entrega de Metroid.

Edit 2:

Pues hoy ha sido un día de vicio intenso y me he pasado Darq: Complete Edition. ¡Para mí la sorpresa del año! Es una copia de Little Nightmares pero poco tiene que envidiarle a éste. Es más, los puzles me han parecido muchísimo más originales los de Darq. Una ambientación brutal, con claras inspiraciones de Little Nightmares o Inside, pero lo mejor son los puzles. Todos resultan originales, frescos y jamás se repiten. A veces se basan en las mismas mecánicas, pero encuentran la manera de seguir sorprendiéndote y comiéndote el tarro para solucionarlos. Es un juego muy corto, junto con el DLC me habrá durado unas 4 horas. Lo peor; que se acaba... Realmente es un juego con poca rejugabilidad porque una vez conoces la solución a los puzles pierde la gracia. Si os van los juegos con buena ambientación y puzles originales dadle una oportunidad porque no os decepcionará. ¡Gracias a @Capell por descubrírmelo!

Forza Horizon 5

Actualmente mi saga favorita de los juegos de Microsoft. En realidad ya lo viene siendo desde el 3 porque Halo y Gears ya no me llenan como antes.

En cuanto al juego, soberbio, divertidísimo, brutal. En todos los apartados, le doy un 10.

Obra maestra de los videojuegos.

A mi modo de ver, la mejor saga de coches en general (incluidos simuladores, semis y arcades).

Y aunque lo he "terminado" (lo que viene siendo el Festival Horizon) aún me quedan decenas de pruebas y desafíos por terminar.
10/11 - Luigi's Mansion (GameCube) 7.5

Un juego que llevaba mucho tiempo pendiente ya que en GameCube lo alquile un par de veces pero nunca me lo llegue a terminar.

Desde luego es una experiencia que vale la pena al menos probarla. La mecanica de atrapar fantasmas es llamativa aunque es verdad que muchos puzzles son sencillisimos, y el diseño de la mansion podria ser mejorable, añadiendo mejores interconexiones entre niveles y salas, o haciendo el juego un poco mas largo. Aun asi, y con unas mecanicas que aunque atrevidas, son dificiles de implementar, resulta en un juego muy divertido y entretenido

Primera expansión de Quake 2. Aporta muy poca novedad, 1 enemigo más y un par de armas, aunque la jugabilidad sigue molando, me hubiera gustado que hubieran hecho algo un poco diferente.

Esta segunda expansión aporta algún enemigo más (las arañas y las torretas) y algún arma más, pero se han pasado bastante con la dificultad de 2 jefes y con la ubicación y el daño de torretas y arañas. Me ha gustado más que la expansión anterior, pero con los jefes mencionados he perdido la paciencia y he tirado de códigos.

11/11- Gone Home (PC) 6
Sé a lo que iba, así que a lo mejor eso jugó en mi contra. Pero incluso como walking simulator me parece muy poca cosa, solo había jugado al Vanishing of Ethan Carter, y la historia me pareció mucho mejor, con más duración y más cosas que ver. Este Gone Home tiene una buena ambientación, pero no me cuadra nada con la historia, y tiene algunos detalles curiosos, pero no lo rejugaría a pesar de lo corto que es.

Juego algo repetitivo pero que a su vez engancha. La historia es un poco difusa, no llego a entenderla del todo. Llega a hacerse pesado tanta cinemática, podrían haberlas hecho más cortas, ya que al final hace perder un poco el ritmo al juego. Por lo demás un buen juego, pero tampoco es la quinta esencia.

Back 4 Blood me ha parecido (y me parece) un juegazo, pero los mapas me parecen menos inspirados que los de los L4D. Tiene un potencial enorme, pero le faltan cosillas que espero que vayan mejorando.

The Medium me ha parecido un buen juego, pero sin más. La idea principal me parece que está muy desaprovechada, y esto me parece un punto negativo importante. Pero bueno, la historia mola, y la ambientación también.

Vaya juegarral el Portal 2 de Valve. Lo encaré en su día con la fama que traía pero sin haber jugado a la primera parte ni ser fan del género. Aún así, se trata de un juego cuya historia te atrapa desde el primer momento con un doblaje maravilloso y unos gráficos que te sumergen en la narración. Sin embargo lo que más destaca es la dinámica de los puzzles, algunos muy complejos y siempre resultones. La dificultad a veces me obligó a tirar de guía y si que sentí algunos bajadas de ritmo quizás por abusar de demasiados puzzles iguales en algunas zonas. En resumen, maravilloso juego y obligatorio incluso si no te apasiona el género.

Aunque me lo haya pasado en el recopilatorio en Xbox One, sigue siendo un juego de Gba.., Pues nada nunca lo habia jugado, ni original, ni en emulador ni nada, y bastante contento con el resultado, lo único me ha resultado un poco corto pero bueno y tambien decir que ha sido el jefe final mas dificil que me he enfrentado nunca jaja

Ratchet and Clank: Una dimensión aparte (PS5)

Mi verdadero salta a la nueva generación ha sido con este Ratchet. No soy el mayor fan de la saga, pero son juegos que habitualmente me gustan ya que cuentan con buenos personajes, diseño y jugabilidad. En el caso de esta nueva entrega, la saga da un paso al frente en términos de producción, luciendo un apartado técnico espectacular. Algunas escenas de acción (con cambios de mundo incluidos) se quedan grabadas en la retina por su espectacularidad.

En líneas generales, es un juego sobresaliente dentro de su género y un juego muy divertido de jugar.

Narita Boy (Series X)

Quizás lo peor del juego sea su primera hora, donde puedes llegar a sentirte algo desorientado. Una vez superada esa pequeña barrera, el juego solo va hacia arriba. Este juego de acción 2D con ligeros toques metroidvania no pasará a la historia como uno de los mejores de la historia, pero sí que resulta en un aventura muy entretenida. El apartado artístico es muy peculiar, con este pixel art "gordo" que está tan en auge. Por otro lado, el sistema de combate evoluciona mucho y termina siendo bastante satisfactorio en la segunda mitad del juego.

Un indie al que darle una oportunidad si te gusta el género y una de esas obras en las que terminas cayendo si tienes Game Pass.

Xenoblade: Futuros conectados (Switch)

Jugar a la expansión de uno de tus juegos favoritos de la historia es algo que genera mucha incertidumbre. En mi caso, fui con las expectativas muy bajas y con la intención de poder ampliar un poquito más ese mundo que me gusta y poder volver a utilizar a algunos de mis personajes favoritos.

La expansión bien podría pasar como un juego corto a precio reducido, ya que resulta ser una aventura completa e independiente de la historia original. De menor envergadura que Torna, pero ya que en esta ocasión venía incluida en el juego, pues en parte comprensible.

En lo referente a la historia, me ha parecido una trama interesante y lo mínimamente satisfactoria como para tirar del juego. Eso sí, es bastante corta y el juego viene rodeado de contenido secundario no siempre de la mejor calidad. El apartado artístico sigue la línea del juego base, pero por fin hemos podido acceder a alguna zona muy esperada por los fans. En general, es fanservice del que gusta si eres un seguidor de la saga.

Terminada la historia principal de GTAV tras unas cuantas (muchas) horas en el mundo abierto de Los Santos. He podido disfrutar de las peripecias de Franklin, Michael y Trevor con bastante retraso en el tiempo y aún asombrado de lo bien que se ve en mi PS3. Imagino que fui víctima de la magnitud del juego y mis expectativas no se han podido igualar con la experiencia real. Sin embargo, ese robacámara que es Trevor Phillips arregla unas historias irregulares y repetitivas con su carisma y locura.

- Forza Horizon 5 (One X Player): 7,5. Me ha seguido dejando muy frío. Es lo mismo desde el 3, inlcuyendo gráficos, no ha evolucionado en nada, más allá del clima o alguna textura. El modo forzavista cada vez es más limitado, igual que las modificaciones y no ha evolucionado en nada jugable. Este es más bestia en cuanto a saltos y tal pero nada que aporte más allá del catálogo.
- Sonic Forces (One X Player): 6,5. Juego correcto que peca de ser muy corto sin más. Sinceramente me ha gustado más que el Generations que me dió un montón de problemas la versión de PC.
- Humankind (Macbook Pro 16"): 9. Me ha gustado mucho, parecía que era imposible hacerle sombra al Civilization pero este lo ha conseguido. Me sigue gustando más el formato del Civ, quizás por costumbre pero este se queda muy cerca.
- Age of Empires IV (Macbook Pro 16"): 7. Creo que se puede pedir más de esta franquicia, no parece ni un juego nuevo y teniendo en cuenta el nombre, el presupuesto y los años de desarrollo podría haber dado mucho mucho más de sí.

En su día cuando salió lo jugué en PC y dejé a medias porque me hice con una PS3 y lo dejé completamente abandonado, craso error. Pese a que ya tiene sus años, me ha fascinado, en especial por su asombrosa ambientación y sobretodo por su espeluznante diseño de audio. Aunque a veces pueda resultar algo repetitiva la eterna tarea de ser el chico de los recados (nos pasamos el juego entero yendo de un lado a otro de la nave Ishimura cumpliendo con las misiones que nos encomiendan), la gran ambientación y variedad de lugares que visitamos dentro de la nave hace que nos enganchemos rápidamente al juego. En todo momento sentimos la claustrofobia de los pasillos y la eterna presencia de que a la vuelta de la esquina algo nos espera. El juego sabe mantenerte en tensión continuamente; esos susurros continuos, ruidos metálicos de que algo nos acecha, el parpadeo de las luces... todo está diseñado con ingenio. Las diferentes maneras en que debemos enfrentarnos a cada enemigo hacen que tengamos que organizarnos en cada combate, sabiendo con que enemigo acabar primero. Me recuerda en parte a Doom, cuando en una arena se juntan diferentes tipos de enemigos y cada uno requiere que termines con ellos de una manera diferente, además de priorizar en unos antes que en otros para favorecernos en combate. También me ha gustado que el juego vaya al grano, es decir; toda la historia se nos cuenta a medida que estamos controlando a nuestro personaje, a base de vídeos o audios que no entorpecen en el gameplay. No hay cinemáticas ni falta que le hace, ya que así estás en tensión en todo momento aun cuando crees que puedes respirar tranquilo.

Mención especial a las partes de gravedad cero o sobretodo cuando estás en el espacio sin oxígeno y completo silencio con lo que ello conlleva; prioridad en sobrevivir para no quedarnos sin aire y el silencio absoluto, haciendo que no escuchemos a nuestros enemigos acechándonos. El control algo tosco de nuestro protagonista encaja metiéndonos en el papel de su pesada armadura y movimientos más lentos al encontrarnos en el espacio. Con una duración de algo más de 15 horas me ha parecido una experiencia muy gratificante, con ganas de darle a sus secuales aunque tengo entendido que no llegan a la altura del título original. Veremos a ver.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon

Juego cortito, con buenos toques de humor, ambientado en un mundo cyberpunk ochentero que usa básicamente todo del Far Cry 3, cambiando armas y "decorado". Es como un mini juego dentro de otro juego.
Son 7 misiones que se pasan bastante rápido, apenas unas 6 horas. Aunque luego se alarga con los coleccionables y demás historias.
Pero vamos, que como juego está bastante regulero. Eso sí, el gusto que da manejar ciertas armas y arrasar con todo es muy disfrutable.

No soy muy fan de los FPS y este lo jugué a través de Origin que lo regalaban hace unos meses. Hacía mucho tiempo que no jugaba a un shooter y lo he disfrutado por la ambientación y los gráficos, especialmente. La historia no es gran cosa pero si que se nota la camaradería de los protagonistas como esfuerzo para darles más dimensión que simplemente los compañeros de tiros.
