Im not sure how familiar the people here are with the XBOX kernel source or Connexant and Focus datasheets, but 240P was actually a resolution the XBOX was going to support. Theres macros for it in the kernel source and both Connexant and Focus have regs for 240P. The way I did it is very cheap and dirty and certainly not ideal. An ideal fix would be updating the kernel patch to make 240P a native resolution option. Ive tried that many times with very little success. We were able to get it to work with OpenXDK games like Space Invaders but when running actual XBOX games it just black screened. This isnt finished by any means and I will be doing more work on it. And you most certainly can remove the scan line filter. I just left it enabled because I liked how it made Killer Instinct look

The low res (240/224p) is only necesary for emulators. Original xbox games is not designed for work in this resolution mode.

I talk whit @hcf some times about this (low res output) and i send a mail to jeroni paul (author of winmodelines http://www.geocities.ws/podernixie/htpc/modeline.html) for is possible port this program to xbox source.
Whit this, whe can make superresolutions for crt 15khz monitor (like as 1920x224 like and windows, wii or raspberry pi video modes) this super resolution make posible work in intel graphic card whit 20mhz dotclock.
But, paul jeroni do not sent response for me.

Ya probe el emulador en mi xbox v1.0 todo va a 240p todo luce muy bien maravilloso como si juegaras en la snes original excepto un bug un problema que tiene killer instinct en el escenario de COMBO y el escenario que sale en la calle el automovil de COMBO ambos el fondo de el escenario se va en pantalla negra verifique y si este problema viene desde la primera version de zsnes el cual nunca fue corregido, eh tratado todas las configuraciones y todas las versiones de killer instinct de snes con el mismo resultado pantalla negra de fondo, espero puedan arreglar ese problema este emulador es el unico que eh visto en xbox que emula fielmente ala snes [plas] perfecto.abajo le dejo una imagen de el problema que menciono.

En PC para sacar resolución 15 khz 240 P son Wiinmodelines y soft15
La tarjeta gráfica de Xbox es una gforce nvidia3 custom?
Hay que comprobar si si gforce3 es compatible con alguno de estos dos programas.
Lo siguiente y esto es una idea,seria convertir estos programas a xbox y ver si desde allí con las opciones que incorpora la xbox muestra 240p nativamente?
Y no sé si quizás cargando desde la BIOS un modo predefinido, se pueda arrancar la Xbox en modo 240 P, con el cable RGB a una televisión crt

Yo no controlo de este tema, y por eso cuando me ha preguntado gente de este foro, no he podido ayudarles con esto, lo siento. Pero efectivamente SPPV sí que se ha peleado mucho con este tema y sabe mucho más que yo de esto. Puedo confirmar que gente como SPPV o XtecuterX73 han trabajado mucho para conseguir esto, que tanta gente pide. Siento no poder aportar más en este asunto.

Como @ricardo1984 pone que si va, a mi no

tengo la imagen recortada y con scanlines activados (en un crt quiero arrancarme los ojos), el flickering del entrelazado sigue ahi.
Eso si la imagen resultante sera de 256x224 dentro de 640x480 por lo que se ve, es lo de siempre ( o peor).

Yeah on a CRT Im sure scan lines would be annoying. I use an LCD TV so for me it actually looked nice set to 25% scan lines. I also dont own a CRT so I would be interested to see how this looks on one if you could snap a picture with your phone or something and upload it.

I dont really post in the forums anymore. I normally just chat with X about coding issues and ideas and pass apps to friends. Despite what it shows on the site Im retired as a staff member and my apps only get posted on site if Fumanchu/Xcalibur posts them. Im really winding down far as XBOX goes and spending more time on PC apps/emus and playing video games

Gotta save the best for last :) Things are going great man, start working for Capcom Vancouver in September!!!!!! I only meant for you as a reference since Im new here. The whole "Yeah I know this guy and he doesnt release bogus crap" kinda thing lol Did you see the new XMV converter (ANY2XMV 2)? Any video to XMV no more WME crap. Convert virtually anything to XMV 1 click. Its a beast dumps audio, converts it to XBOX ADPCM, converts the vid to XMV and dubs the audio. Got a vid on Youtube of doing 10 files many of which were 500MB plus in 11 minutes. And made progress on Penny Ops succesfully added KIxxx, ZSNEX and NestopiaX (god was that a pig lol) Saw you did yet another game, my god man its like you never sleep a frieking machine the way you pump out ports. And if you are game, when I hang up the spurs I'll pass the src for ZSNEX, SMSPlusX, KIxxx (XBOX) and Penny Ops to you (if you are interested in apps I'll also pass Babylon, Xtras Downloader and ANY2XMV) Im sure a man with your skills could do far more than me with them.

Yes, I'm still working on the old box too, and in fact I have almost finished 2 huge projects that I hope to release soon (one of them is the MESS emulator ported to Xbox).
I would like to chat a bit with you, can I PM to you on this site? As I saw that you didn't visit emuxtras for a long time, and I guess that chatting in English about our developments in this public thread is not the best idea ;)

I stopped "releasing" a while back, too much hassle lol Make fancy pics do this do that, meh I already made the damn thing lol. I release on my site which is I2P so obviously misses Google, and XBOX-HQ which has a spider blocker so usually has limited results on Google

I watched the videos between Wii and Zsnex and to be honest I saw very little difference. For the record I have bad eyes, ive been sitting in front of a computer since 1984. I dont even know what differences Im looking for. I got into the 240P gig because I was a kernel modder and assembly coder and X and Gilou thought I had the stuff to crack it. I know for a 100% drop a nuke on your ass fact the rez is correct. Its displaying at proper SNES rez. The progressive is the kicker my eyes cant tell progressive from interlaced. And for the record I thought I missed the last step. That my work was douchey. Please explain these posts as Im a[*] a loss to understand them
