Interesante no conozco mucho de aventuras gráficas y este tipo de juegos pero es una buena oportunidad, por cierto veo que ya es compatible con Little Big Adventure y Crusader: No Remorse que son de otro genero, saben cuales otros juegos soportados por esta aplicación no son aventuras gráficas?

Lo fascinante de todo este camino es que durante cierto tiempo N64 recibía actus de SCUMMVM
@Snowbro No conozco todos los juegos que soporta ScummVM. Sería cuestión de ir viendo los juegos que soporta para ver cuáles son aventuras gráficas y cuáles no. Este programa soporta muchas aventuras conversacionales que no sé hasta que punto se pueden considerar como aventuras gráficas. Hay también juegos de rol como Ultima, juegos que me parece más tipo puzzle que otra cosa, juegos que son más del estilo de películas interactivas. En cualquier caso, hacer una lista de ese tipo que no incluya los nombres de las aventuras gráficas, en su sentido más estricto, soportadas por ScummVM, pues llevaría un tiempo. Un interesante artículo en inglés sobre una de las novedades de la nueva versión: Soporte (incompleto) para juegos de Macromedia Director (una herramienta popular para programar juegos facilmente en los 90s)

En la version 2.5.0 también añadieron soporte para cientos de aventuras gráficas programadas con el motor AGL (v2.5+), básicametne un RPG Maker para aventuras gráficas...

Es increible como ScummVM, originalmente creado para ejecutar aventuras gráficas con el motor Scumm, crece con cada versión añadiendo más motores...
Muy interesantes los nuevos añadidos, sin duda. Y de como van añadiendo otros clásicos fuera de las aventuras gráficas tradicionales.
Hace unas semanas reporté que la versión española del Little Big Adventure no funcionaba, tras facilitar archivos y información a los devs, ya se puede decir que la versión española funciona correctamente.

Han publicado el engine del Sanitarium en la Daily build, lo que la traducción fanmade que hay en castellano no funciona, he reportado archivos y datos a ver si para cuando la saquen oficialmente ya tenemos la traducción en castellano funcional.

Muchas gracias @DJ Deu por reportar la traducción de Sanitarium, es una gran noticia que estén dando soporte a ese engine, sobre todo porque la única forma de jugarlo bien es a través de Steam, la versión de dotemu que tiene aplicado un bilinear grotesco y que impide que lo juegue de forma cómoda.

Otro tema es que se animen y compilen el core para retroarch, ardo en deseos que hagan esto de una vez y actualicen, pero habrá que esperar.

¿Pero funciona? Porque he probado otras versiones (ferua de retroarch) que dicen tener Vsync y casi nunca funciona (alguna rara vez). Es una de las cosas que más me molestan de DosBox, el tearing tan exagerado que tienen los juegos.

Pues ya digo, mi experiencia es esa. He probado unas cuantas versiones, la oficial (en esa no funciona nunca, aunque creo que ni lo intenta) y otras versiones creadas por la comunidad. Había una, DOSBox ECE, que sí funcionaba dependiendo del juego, pero a costa de tener un stuttering muy notorio, o bajando el rendimiento.

Así rápidamente he probado con Jazz Jackrabbit en DOSBox Pure y sí que funciona el Vsync (sin tocar nada), no hay tearing y va muy suave (además se puede jugar con mando, lo cual está genial en un plataformas), pero he notado algunos fallos leves como parpadeos de sprites y chasquidos en el sonido. Tengo que trastear más con las opciones y probar más juegos.
Elazul está baneado por "clon de usuario baneado"
Dosbox Pure es un core para libretro. También hay versión standalone, pero si hablamos del core para libretro, tiene las mismas funcionalidades (en cuanto al tema de la vsync) que el core dosbox-snv.

Creo que de ahí viene el lio.

Sí, eso es más o menos lo que tenía entendido hasta ahora.
La mejor prueba que podéis hacer para quitaros de la cabeza si usa vsync o no dosbox pure es ejecutando Pinballs.

Amén del ya mencionado jack n jack rabbit (el flickering puedes quitarlo utilizando la opción de s3 hack dentro de dosbox pure).

Otro que es perfecto para probar stutter y demás chuches son Super Star Wars, que incluso en el instalador tiene un test de calibración de hz para el monitor...

Ahora mismo se puede jugar 1:1 a Pinball Fantasies y no existe diferencia con la versión en un pc real, ni de input lag, ni de stutter o tearing, de hecho creo que el soporte de mando hace que incluso gane más puntos.

Otro que también era un hueso duro de roer es Prince Of Persia 2, que de serie ya venía con un input lag bastante chungo y que por ejemplo en DosBox Pure va incluso mejor que en la máquina real.

Daros cuenta que emular un sistema como msdos es algo parecido a ejecutar rom pal en emuladores, que suele ser un dolor de cabeza. Por un lado tenías el problema de necesitar un monitor con 75hz nativos... y la gran mayoría poseemos monitores de 60hz, si a eso le añades que muy pocos juegos de msdos van a 60fps ó incluso a 30 fps, te das de bruces con la dolorosa realidad de querer ejecutar fluidamente un juego que de forma nativa va a 20-25 fps, que el sistema original ejecutaba en un entorno de 75hz y lo fuerzas a trabajar a 60hz. El resultado es lo que la mayoría de aquí se quejaba, stutter, nada de fluidez, tearing...

Ahora mismo teniendo el timming a 60fps como logra hacer Dosbox Pure, soluciona el problema con monitores de 60hz e incluso mejora la experiencia original en juegos que nativamente son de 20fps ó menos.
@gordon81 ¿Y para monitores que tienen la posibilidad de un refresco mayor, cuál sería la mejor opción? Tengo el mío configurado a 144 Hz.
Pues si tu monitor soporta 144hz yo le pondría un limitador de fps a 142-143 para que no salte ni vel gsync ni el vsync.

Siempre que tu monitor soporte más allá de los 75hz en scumvm de retroarch que no soporta vsync podrás "arreglar" el problema del tearing, en Dosbox Pure es diferente, porque ya no necesitas tener un monitor a 75hz y aunque lo tengas no vas a notar el cambio porque por defecto yo activo el timming a 60fps en msdos para estabilizar los juegos, sobre todo aquellos que no llegan a 12-fps o que tienen un scroll raro o lento.

Si no rompen el core en sucesivas actualizaciones y todo apunta que que seguirá mejorando con opciones de calidad de vida, creo que ya no sería necesario montarse un pc retro para tener la sensación 1:1 que daba un pc real ejecutando msdos. Bueno realmente ya no es necesario, porque el core funciona muy bien y como he dicho muchas otras veces, incluso mejor que en un pc con msdos nativo.

En anteriores versiones e incluso en forks independientes de dosbox, un juego como Dangeous Dave in Haunted Mansion era imposible hacerlo funcionar a 60fps o con scroll fluído, para "engañar" a dosbox, había que configurarlo en modo ega que por defecto trabaja a 60hz y arreglaba un poco el scroll lento o con stuttering, ahora mismo hacer eso es completamente innecesario.
Coño ScummVM ahora tambien mueve juegos de AGS (Adventure game Studio), no lo sabia, y no desde hace mucho, para AGS tienes el Maniac Mansion "Deluxe", que está muy bien esa versión, y algunas aventurillas desconocidas para muchos seguramente.

Ha actualizado con cosillas desde la 2.1.0 que fue la ultima vez que miré, no se que tiempo a pasado desde esa versión a la actual, pero solo el añadido de aceptar juegos de AGS ya me parece de lo mas interesante [360º]

Edito: Mierda, tambien han fusionado ResidualVM con ScummVM, no tenia ni pajolera idea, y ahora hasta admite The Longest Journey gracias esa fusión, que admite ese motor?? dios, es una de mis aventuras favoritas, y ya no lo jugaba porque en windows 10 la cosa no iba muy fina, habia algunos problemas, ahora podré darle caña con el ScummVM, si tengo el juego ahi en discos y todo, y no tengo lector de CDs desde hace años [qmparto]

Mira en internet porque hay una versión del juego en HD y en español con los fondos mejorados mediante IA.

Mira en internet porque hay una versión del juego en HD y en español con los fondos mejorados mediante IA.

Quiero volver a pasarme las aventuras gráficas de antaño pero esta vez en la tv y sin teclado ni ratón.

Alguna idea para hacerlo con buena calidad y cómodo? He pensado en configurar un mando de wii o algo así....

Otra opción es con un pad tipo xbox pero no tengo tan claro si ha de ser igual de cómodo, alguna sugerencia?

Yo juego con teclado y ratón pero he jugado en vita sin mucho problema... Con un mando cualquiera yo creo que te valdría...

Lo miraré, tengo una wii y una Wii U pero no he cargado scumm vm en ninguna de las dos, hace mil que no les meto nada y ya ni me acuerdo, gracias! He visto que el mando de wii se puede usar en pc, tal vez sea la opción más fácil, lo que no sé si luego scummvm me lo pillará.

- Fixed some MIDI music looping when it shouldn't in EGA/VGA floppy versions of The Secret of Monkey Island.

- Fixed the dissolve effect, and Bobbin's palette when leaving the darkened tent in the TurboGrafx-16 version of Loom, to match the original behavior.

- Rewrote text rendering routines for Full Throttle, The Dig and The Curse of Monkey Island in accordance to the original interpreters.
- Rewrote timer handling routines to better approximate both the original hardware behavior and the intepreters' quirks.
- Fix lip syncing in Backyard Baseball 2003.
- Fixed various original game bugs and oversights in most of the LucasArts titles: https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=SCUMM/Game_Enhancements. Most of these enhancements can now be disabled in the game's settings if one prefers playing with the original behavior.
- Added sliders for tweaking the CD audio playback in the MI1 CD intro, as well as VGA CD Loom in general. Loom is particularly sensitive to the amount of silence at the start of the track, and the CD version of MI1 never synced the music as well to the intro as previous versions. - Detect and reject the EGA floppy version of Monkey Island 1 that Limited Run Games sold in their Monkey Island 30th Anniversary Anthology, if using the default DISK4 image, which is corrupted. It's possible to recover a working image from the KryoFlux dumps they also provided.
- Fixed random number generation which fixes throwing in Backyard Baseball.
- Marked a workaround in Monkey Island 2 (FM-Towns version) as an enhancement; this workaround originally restored a portion of the map chasing puzzle in Booty Island which had been cut in the FM-Towns version of the game.
- Made the sentence line in Maniac Mansion work like the manual says, i.e. you can click on it to execute the command.

Sherlock:
- Fixed slowdown in Serrated Scalpel intro when playing the game from a small installation.
- Fixed UI glitches in Serrated Scalpel.

Titanic:
- Fixed not being able to see House in Starfield puzzle.

TwinE:
- Fixed a bug in the collision code that made the game unfinishable due to the tank not moving any further in scene 63.
- Fixed light angle calculation which produced rendering artifacts in a few scenes.
- Fixed polygon rendering method for the boat windows.
- Fixed wrong shooting direction for some actors.
- Fixed door movement in some situations.

Android port:
- Added hardware acceleration for 3D graphics.
- Improved touch controls.

macOS port:
- Added support for displaying OSD messages on the Touch Bar.

Windows port:
- Added "Portable Mode" in which the executable's directory is used to store application files if a scummvm.ini file is present, instead of the user's profile directory.

Intente hacer funcionar la aventura grafica de Spiderman, version en español. Sin exito. Alguien ha podido probarla?
Para hacer funcionar el Spider-Man - Los Seis Siniestros tienes que montar la iso o con el cd en una unidad h por ejemplo, le das a añadir juego y le indicas la unidad en que esta montado h y te lo reconoce , no parece funcionar los subtítulos y voces a la vez solo hace las voces
Como se lo curran el equipo de Scummvm multitud de ports hasta han mantenido el port de Dreamcast y soporte para Windows 95 eso sí que es retro de verdad XD

¿Sí? Por fin. Aunque yo lo iniciaba con un .bat con varios parámetros para hacerlo portable, ya la anterior versión la tenía así.
Ahora basta con añadir un Scummvm.ini en el directorio del exe y listo. Todo se guarda ahí.
Ya me he hecho mi compilación de ScummVM en español (a ver si meto algún inédito en inglés y cierro)
Me quiero meter con DoSBOX pero he estado tanteando un par de tardes y me parece complicada de narices...
