Tengo muchas ganas de este juego. Me parece una apuesta muy arriesgada para una pequeña compañía ya que un juego de coches, motos y camiones en el que se le de tanta, o más, importancia a la navegación, que a la propia velocidad tiene un público muy concreto.

Además, el hecho de tener un mapa tan gigantesco, de que presumiblemente las etapas serán bastante duraderas, habrá que cuidar la mecánica, el combustible y la variedad de entornos, a priori, lo hacen muy atractivo. A ver cómo queda la versión final porque la IA será determinante, en cuanto a su comportamiento y también la interacción con el entorno y la conducción.

A mi me interesa bastante pero luego las keys no son nada baratas y el precio base son 50€, que para ser el primer juego como que no me quiero "comer" cosas, el estudio tiene que ser pequeño para un trabajo tan mastodóntico como es mezclar el Euro Truck con Fuel (DEP) haciendo el mapa mastodóntico
Como vaya bien, este va a ser el juego que me haga comprarme un volante [burla2] [burla2]

Y ya, si sacan soporte para las VR....

Buenas:

Mis impresiones sobre el juego final son agridulces;
El tema del mapeado me parece magnifico. La jugabilidad con el tema del roadmap y la brújula me parece muy interesante. Gráficamente el juego cumple (aunque las animaciones de los personajes fuera del coche hay que pulirlas mucho).

A nivel de conducción el juego se deja manejar (a falta de probarlo con volante), pero realmente flaquea mucho en cuestión de físicas, algo tan sumamente importante en un juego de este tipo. A mi entender son demasiado arcades (para que se entienda lo que quiero decir).

Tristemente no tiene tampoco vuelcos, y el sistema de averías y daños es pobre.

Mi conclusión es que este Dakar 2018 es un juego interesante pero con muchas carencias, una buena base para esta compañía si decide sacar un juego anual, pero que con esta gran base debe trabajar estos aspectos tan importantes para la próxima revisión.

Este Dakar 2018 entretiene, pero no apasiona, y es una pena, aunque da esperanza para el futuro.

Yo lo tengo y es muy adictivo el tema de la navegación. Al principio te puedes desesperar por no encontrar los puntos de control, pero poco a poco vas aprendiendo a orientarte.
Tengo un Thrustmaster tmx y es perfectamente compatible. Tienes que ponerle 270° de giro. El force feedback es bastante fuerte. Pones esos grados de giro y sensibilidad al 100% en el juego y a correr
A mi el g29 en ps4 no va no lo reconoce

En relación con las opciones de este Dakar 18, otra cosa que no veo bien implementada es la opción de "búsqueda de tesoros". La idea es buena, porque el mapeado y el entorno se prestan a ello, pero está muy mal realizada, o más bien, demasiado simple y poco atractiva. Quiero decir, en vez de limitarse a marcar un punto el mapa, sin más, al que tener que llegar, y luego dar cien mil vueltas por un pueblo, o lugar, para encontrar un cofre del tamaño de una caja de zapatos, sin más, podrían haberlo hecho un poco más currado tipo geocatching.

Los que conozcáis algo de geocatching sabréis a lo que me refiero. Para los que no, comentaros que consiste en decirte que tienes que buscar un tesoro, pero no darte la localización exacta, sino puntos de ruta GPS en los que te van dando pistas, o coordenadas para dirigirte al siguiente punto. Así hasta llegar al punto final donde se encuentra el tesoro. Estaría bien que también te dieran una especie de mapa, o croquis para identificar la zona del tesoro, no tener que buscar sin tener absolutamente ninguna referencia... En fin, que lo veo muy poco trabajado...

Después de darle ayer 5 horas en directo tengo que decir que les ha salido un videojuego de carreras muy divertido. Las físicas de las subidas y bajadas de dunas son bastante realistas (aquí uno que fue en buggy por esos mismos desiertos de Perú) y el tema de exploración y el problema de perderte unido a la cantidad de fallos mecánicos que, por cualquier golpe tonto puedes tener, hacen que el componente no sea totalmente arcade.

El único problema por ahora, en las 4 etapas que llevo, es que algunos puntos de orientación son un poco raros y, aunque hayas pasado al lado, no te los marca y tienes que volver y darte la vuelta. Si en el modo normal es complicado, en el modo más experto, miedo me da.

Por cierto, en el canal de Twitch voy a intentar en estos días organizar alguna carrera online, que nos riamos todos juntos.
Aun no pude jugar, se nota mucho mejoras en las actualizaciones?

We are releasing the fifth update allowing now the users to manually configure your own devices, such us Steering Wheels, shifters, etc; we also included generic improvements and bug fixes.

Regarding the Steering Wheel devices, our plan is:
- Support as many steering wheels / pedals / shifters / handbrakes as we can by default
- Achieve a simple and robust way of allowing any other devices to be configured by the user
- Allow users to share their configuration presets with others (even with us in case you would like to see it in the official game)
- Allow default and custom device presets to be fully customizable in the game settings (remove the need to edit text files)

You can find all supported devices at: %appdata\Local\Dakar18Game\Saved\SteeringWheelConfigs, after running the game with v.05 patch.
If you do not see a file with your device vendor / product id, please check on our official guide for information on how to add it.

Devices supported:
- Improved device management and customization

Acabo de jugar la version de los mares por mis dudas con este juego y la verdad es que esta muy guapo, quitando un poco los graficos que podria estar mucho mejor esta bastante divertido. eso si hay que estar muy atento porque perderse en el desierto es facil no, lo seguiente. a ver si baja el precio para poder pillarlo.
La verdad que es un juego que sorprende. yo juego con la ayuda de la brújula, pero algunas veces intento empezar a orientarme con el Roadbook, Yo creo que no hay que correr mucho lo importante es no romper nada, ya que si rompes por lo menos suspensión por ir afondo en las dunas, estarás todo el rato volviendo al ultimo waypoint con su penalización.

Puntos a favor el pedazo mapa , y que puedes guardar en cualquier punto de la etapa.
en contra los gráficos.

Luego si con una etapa de 300 km tardas mas menos una hora, he visto que hay una de 900 km eso significa mas menos 3 horas perdido por el desierto

Viendo videos de youtube los graficos mejoran mucho con los parches de actualizacion exeptuando la cara del piloto y copiloto pero el resto rulz.

P.D: corre en un ryzen 1200 como e dicho antes si o no?
Es más importante no perderse y, sobre todo, no saltarse los límites de velocidad en poblaciones. Lo de los límites es una burrada. Te suman horas de tiempo.

Si pones "-vr" en las opcions de lanzamiento, el juego va en VR.
Los menus y el HUD no funcionan, asi que tienes que aprendete los menus primero en TV, y luego jugar sin HUD, solo con el audio del copiloto.

Esto lo dijeron hace una semana, puede que el DEV haya capado ahora el soporte nativo de VR del UE4, y que no funcione en la ultima actualizacion, como paso con el SCUM.

Algunos datos sobre las próximas actualizaciones y de Dakar 19
1. Remove the movement of the inner camera
We believe you mean the left/right movement of the cockpit camera correct?
If you don't touch the mouse, it wont move. That's the issue?

2. Can remove the pilot and steering wheel
Already in development. Will arrive soon.

3. To get a little closer to the FOV of the inner camera
We already had that option but due to the Open World LOD streaming issues we had to avoid that option. It was a technical decision because this is NOT a track based game, its a huge Open World. Nevertheless, that is one of our next R&D for Dakar19.

4. 200 competitors
We implemented 44 official teams with around 70 pilots/co-pilots on Dakar18.
For Dakar19 its expected to grow from 44 to near 70 teams. Distributed by all categories.
That's already a Huge Plan for next year!

5. North Africa
This is the Official Dakar Rally game and our license is to replicate what happen on Dakar Rally. The organization define the place, the Road Books, the Teams and we focus on simulate in the videogame the Rally.
Nevertheless BIGMOON should bring a big announcement during 2019 that may cover that topic.

5. 20 stages
On Dakar18 you have 14 stages. The same as the official Dakar Rally 2018.
It seems you want more... and we want to provide more... stay tuned... great news are coming before Christmas! ;)

6. 1.3 maximum scale
We use a 1:32 world map scale. What I suppose it's around what you mean of "1.3". We dont use 1.4. Nevertheless this is something we will not change for Dakar18, and Dakar19 should be similar scale. However we are currently in tests with the evolution of our Open World for Dakar19.

7. Save the choosen camera settings to keep when you return to the game.

Respecto a la IA dicen que tienen prevista una actualización con el indicador del limite de velocidad en camiones y otros vehículos. El DLC gratuito que estaba previsto que saliera en octubre de la expansión del mapa de Argentina se anunciará dentro de pocos días e incluirá las etapas pertenecientes al Desafío Ruta 40 2018.

The “Desafío Ruta 40 Rally” is part of the world-famous “Dakar Series”, a number of cross-country rallies and is the first event of this series to be added to Dakar 18. The race took place between August 27th and 31st in Argentina. As with the main game the team at Bigmoon Entertainment focused all their effort on simulating this challenge to make it as realistic as possible. It will enhance the already existing world of the main game by additional 12.000 km² including five new stages around the beautiful country side of Argentina. Parece ser que tras el lanzamiento del DLC gratuito del Desafío Ruta 40, habrá otro DLC (no se sabe si será gratuito) del Desafio inca 2018. Han dicho los desarrolladores que habrá 6 "regalos" de Navidad, siendo el 1º el de hoy, los demás se irán dando desde hoy hasta mediados de enero del 2019.

Hola a todos. En su día me interesó bastante el juego pero tenía bastantes errores en su salida... ¿qué tal está actualmente? ¿lo recomiendas? Cuanto dura cada etapa? Es un buen simulador en ese aspecto?

Ya se puede descargar el DLC gratuito del Desafío Ruta 40 que incluye 5 etapas y el piloto de Honda Mathias Bellino que se lesionó en el Desafío Ruta 40 2018.

En las etapas de los DLCs solo se puede usar el copiloto en inglés porque están terminando de grabar los copilotos en español y francés, cuando estén grabadas los añadirán. De momento estas etapas de estos DLCs no se pueden usar en el multijugador pero han dicho que, en un futuro cercano, se podrán usar.
Both DLCs will be made available for free, for a limited time. They also include a surprise you might be able to see in the upcoming trailer, set to be released later today.

Bear in mind that, for the moment, we only have the original English Voices for the navigator for these. Recordings for the Spanish and French navigators aren't finished yet and we expect to add them soon. Also to be added in the near future is multiplayer support for these extra 8 stages.

Ayer hubo un parche en el que arreglaron algunos bugs, solucionaron el problema al guardar una etapa con 2 especiales, nuevas físicas para los quads, posibilidad de personalizar el tiempo y el clima en el multijugador y añadieron el limite de 140 km/h en los camiones, por lo que al superar ese límite tendremos una sanción de tiempo al final de la etapa.

Bueno, al final caí en adquirirlo que está relativamente barato 16-17€ y la verdad es que está siendo una sorpresa.

Tiene un handicap de navegación muy interesante. Todavía no he terminado mi primer dakar (voy por la mitad) pero la verdad es que engancha... La mayoría de etapas son de resistencia, entre 45 mins y con cierta complejidad para encontrar los pasos de control... muy interesando el juego, gráficamente cumple, físicas tirando a arcade... pero repito, una opción muy interesante si te gusta la conducción pero con matices nuevos que hasta ahora no se habían visto en juegos de este tipo...lo recomiendo.
Yo lo acabo de pillar, espero que no decepcione...

Players can now go to the options and authorize to share their times with all the other competitors to compete worldwide for the best position in each class category: Cars, Bikes, Quads, Trucks and SxS.
At the end of each stage the worldwide online rankings will be displayed so players can compare their ranking position with every other player in DAKAR 18.
Every player is welcomed to keep trying and improve their position in the world ranking charts.
