¿Y si reunimos toda la info del TGS en un hilo como se hizo con el E3?
Bueno yo por lo menos iré postando lo que vea en este hilo.

Impresiones Panzer Dragoon Orta (IGN)

Un resumen:

"This game is a stone fox. The backgrounds are detailed, the dragon models are creative and well-rendered, and the animations are smoother than twice-whipped mousse.

Judging from what we've seen, the graphics are one half excellent art design and one half technical brilliance.

In terms of level design, it's pretty straightforward. You're riding a dragon and shooting things, all the while careening through canyons, fields, fiery skies and desert wastelands.

Speaking of gameplay, players will get the opportunity to take three different dragon forms into battle right from the opening bell. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, as you might suspect.

Overall, the game feels amazing. If you have no idea what it might feel like to control a giant flying dragon in combat against various otherworldly denizens of evil, the game will settle that issue for you in about a second. Everything feels smooth and natural, and that's absolutely everything for a shooter."

When asked whether there were more Panzer games planned in the series, he commented that the next game, should they do it (and from the smile on his face when we asked, we think they will), would be an RPG. "

Pequeña info sobre Breakdown:

"Billed as a type of "first person-fighter", Breakdown is being developed by one of Namco's internal development teams in Japan and will be exclusive to the Xbox when it arrives in 2003."

fuente: IGN

Blizzard Entertainment® Announces StarCraft: Ghost™

Blizzard unveils plans to bring the legendary franchise to console gamers

MAKUHARI, Japan – September 20, 2002 – During a press conference today at the Tokyo Game Show, Blizzard Entertainment®, a studio of the games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, unveiled StarCraft: Ghost™, a tactical-action console game set in Blizzard’s epic StarCraft® universe. StarCraft: Ghost is currently under development and is scheduled for a worldwide release on multiple console systems. The game will be co-published by Capcom and Blizzard Entertainment in Japan; further announcements regarding platform/country specifics will be announced in the months to come.

In StarCraft: Ghost, players take the role of Nova, a lethal Ghost operative skillfully trained in the arts of espionage and tactical combat. Twenty years of ruthless physical conditioning and techno-psychological instruction have made Nova a being of terrifying potential. With the help of a determined group of allies, players follow a series of story-driven missions, engaging in a deadly mix of planetary battles and dangerous solo operations. To complete their mission objectives, players must execute intelligent tactical decisions while mastering an advanced arsenal of sophisticated weaponry.

“We’re very excited about returning to the StarCraft series,” stated Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment president and co-founder. “Our roots are based in console gaming, and we look forward to developing this universe for the next-generation console systems.”

Key features in StarCraft: Ghost include:

· Revolutionary new style of gameplay featuring enhanced physical and psionic abilities

· Over-the-top special effects offer stunning visuals and unparalleled tactical realism

· Immersive 3D environments showcase rich textures and highly stylized character models

· Unique Calldown abilities allow players to target large-scale attacks from the ground

· A deeply evolving storyline set in Blizzard’s gritty sci-fi StarCraft universe

As the story unravels, players find themselves traversing uncharted terrain and battling adversaries never before seen by followers of the series. Bold 3D graphics give players a new, in-depth perspective on familiar planets and former battlefields from the legendary universe. A dynamic 3rd-person camera view displays dramatic lighting, startling detail, and a blend of realistic and fantastical design. Co-developed by Blizzard Entertainment and Nihilistic Software, Inc.™, StarCraft: Ghost is scheduled for release in late 2003.

Since its debut in 1998, the #1-selling StarCraft series* has won industry acclaim and has shattered sales records worldwide with over six million copies shipped. Blizzard continued the series with the critically acclaimed StarCraft: Brood War™, which won multiple Expansion Pack of the Year awards and is still considered by many critics to be one of the best add-on products to date.

Best known for blockbuster hits including the Warcraft®, StarCraft, and Diablo® series, Blizzard Entertainment (http://www.blizzard.com), a studio of the games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, is a premier developer and publisher of entertainment software renowned for creating many of the industry’s most critically acclaimed games. Blizzard’s track record includes seven #1-selling games and multiple Game of the Year awards. Starcraft: Ghost impressions

Blizzard shows off portions of its just-announced console game at a press event in Tokyo.

At its Tokyo Game Show press event, Blizzard briefly demonstrated the playable Xbox version of Starcraft: Ghost, its just-announced tactical action game. The demo begins with Nova being sent into a rogue Terran base for the purposes of collecting information for the confederation. After she drops from the ceiling and lands on the top of a Terran drop ship, players can fully maneuver the camera around to look for any enemies in the area. In this case, a couple of marines are patrolling the area, so you can decide if you want to engage in a full fire fight or use the ghost's cloaking ability. The person giving the demonstration opts for stealth and quietly walks by the rogue marines and through a door, and down a ladder located nearby.
Once inside this new area, Nova spots a camera over a door leading into yet another room. Unlike Metal Gear Solid that shows a camera's line of sight through a radar, Starcraft: Ghost actually displays it in the game, so you'll see a bright yellow streak indicating where the camera's currently looking. After avoiding the camera, Nova walks into the next area, but instead of just charging right in, she starts to use her special sight ability that enables her to see objects behind walls to see if there are any marines scouting the area. Unsurprisingly, her sight reveals the neon-outline of a Terran marine walking just around the corner, so Nova walks around the corner and begins to open fire with her standard assault rifle. However, it appears that the marines can take quite a bit of punishment as Nova unloads a constant stream of fire for about 20 seconds before taking the marine down. Interestingly, if you don't kill these marines in a timely manner, an alarm will sound and additional marines will come in to help, but the marine that came running in to help his comrade met with Nova's grenade launcher and was dead within seconds.

After going through another door, Nova reaches a generator room with an enormous spinning fan located at the bottom. Here, Starcraft: Ghost resembles more of a platformer rather than a tactical action game because you have to make several hair-raising jumps in order to make it to the bottom of the generator and avoid being chopped to pieces by the blades on the fan. Once she safely reaches the bottom, another character back at the confederation base tells Nova that this particular facility was being used to study the Zerg, and that the specimens somehow managed to escape from their containment areas.

At this point, a couple of zerglings start to break through the metal panels in the floor and come charging at Nova, but because she's a ghost, she has the ability to move at hyper sonic-speed, which causes everything else in the environment to slowdown—it's somewhat similar to the bullet-time effect seen in The Matrix or recent games such as Max Payne and Dead to Rights. The zerglings are summarily destroyed and Nova goes into the next area where a large zerg hydrolisk pushes over a table while running at Nova. Instead of using her speed ability again, Nova busts out the flame thrower that bathes the room and all of the objects inside in a bright light as the hydrolisk catches on fire and then falls to the ground.

One of the last areas we were shown seemed to be located on a balcony overlooking the central power area of the base. As a side note, we were told that each enemy in Starcraft: Ghost will have a different AI routine. For example, you'll know if a marine has gone into alert mode if the visor on his helmet is either raised or lowered. In addition, marines can be killed much faster with a head shot from the sniper rilfe if the visor is up. We got a chance to see Nova's sniper rifle in action as she took out a couple of zerglings from long-range. This triggered a cutscene similar to some cutscenes from Starcraft in which a group of marines are barricaded behind a door being broken into by the zerg. Once the zerg bust through, the marines start opening fire, and the demo ends.

For a game that was just announced, Starcraft: Ghost looks pretty far along. The character model for Nova as well as some of the zerg looked quite good and the environments are already sporting some nice special effects such as mist spraying from pipes and some impressive lighting. The game appears to play like most tactical action games in terms of the stealth element, but there appears to be much more to it as shown by the portion of the demo that took place in the ventilation area. We'll have more on Starcraft: Ghost tomorrow so stay tuned.
Panzer Dragoon

"Kakuto Chojin's fighting style feels very similar to that of DOA 3, in that they're simple on the surface, but deeper and more challenging the more you delve into them. The movement and flow of the fights is balanced and quite tight, thanks in part to the responsive controls."

"Accompanying the action is a subtle motion blur, with enhances action rather than detracting from it. What's more, whatever finishing move you muster is fetishized by a 360 degree slow-motion (sigh) Matrix cam, which glorifies violence in the best possible way."

"Then imagine that with some of the better lighting effects we've seen on the console. There are some great shadowing and (egad!) lens flare effects, in addition to the technically solid (but more basic) lighting effects."

"The character models are nice as well. The animation is so good it passes the squint test (squint and it looks real), and the models themselves are imaginative and well-rendered. For the lecherous gamers out there (you know who you are), we're happy to report the game supports breast physics, so the female characters have more bounce to their pounce. "
